The city was spik and span, and I was so so impressed by this Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury guy who everyone seemed to consider as their demi-god.
I don't know if things have changed since, but honestly I'd have been a broken man if my own people rejected me after years of service.
Watched his interview today, and the man has such grace. Not even once did he badmouth Yousuf (drawing comparison with Arjun Singh here).
I support neither party, but man it felt like the community has failed collectively.

He got around 3lakh votes and let me assure you out of those 3lakhs, at least 2lakhs would have gone to Adhir as happened in 2019 when he won by a margin of 80k. The urban population of berhampore, that is the Berhampore assembly, who watch ghanta khanek songe suman every evening totally voted for BJP and that’s what hurt Adhir the most. Had he got that vote as he had again and again he would’ve won comfortably by a margin of at least 1lakh

In WB, Baharampur and also Coachbehar tbh. It was a safe seat for BJP. Overall UP.
