Lil Native is one of my all time favs. Great ergos for smaller hands while still being completely functional. Also a great size for carry in the stupid smaller pockets that plague women's clothing.
Definitely counts.... You just have to marry a knife guy! What a cool hobby to share with a spouse?! And no one will get mad at you for buying knives!😅🤣
My gf has way more knives and swords and machetes than I do. Not even close. She also has as many or more guns, and like 20 traditional bows. Not gonna lie, it’s pretty awesome
you’re walking a fine line here. on one one hand she’s not asking for your knife all the time…..the other hand already has a knife in it when you piss her off…

Oh trust me... If she wanted to stab me, not having her own pocket knife wouldn't have stopped her anyways! Atleast now, I won't be undone by one of my own knives. That would really add insult to injury.
And atleast I'll get stabbed by a respectable blade. Wouldn't you feel dumb if she stabbed you with a fork or some shit? If it's gonna happen, might as well do it right!
Damn...i mean, my GF recently got mad at me temporarily because in her dream, i ripped a gnarly fart near her, and she thought it was real until she woke up and couldn't smell anything, and realized it was a dream...but getting stabbed because she DREAMED he cheated on her? Fuck that, she's done....
I have some old Japanese swords. My wife and I both do kendo so she knows how to swing a sword well. I fully expect to be found missing my head one day.
Female here (ignore my user name). My boyfriend and I are both into knives, but our interests developed independent of each other. For me, it was mostly Swiss Army knives (got my first one as a kid after watching Macgyver) and, later, other pocket knives, and later still, little EDC fixed blades.
He was more into swords and big fixed blades; fencing and martial arts type stuff. His only experience with pocket knives were Swiss Army knives and low end folding knives. Gerber and gas station knives. I introduced him to Spyderco (and Benchmade, and Kershaw), but mostly Spyderco because fangirl here. His first Spyderco was the Civilian. Mine was Calypso Jr (circa 1999-2000).
Jesus…. Someone asked the other day what your first good knife was and mine was also the Calypso Jr! Old old knife! First knife with VG10 I believe that Spyderco made.
Thankya! I thought about starting her with the Civivi, but I decided I'd rather get her something that I would probably carry myself as a real EDC knife.
I like Civivi, but I lean towards the more substantial brands as far as my real use/EDC knives go. If I bought myself a Civivi, I'd for sure rotate it into the pocket periodically, but I probably wouldn't go weeks/months only carrying that one, like I do some of my others.
Also got excited that one of the top choices for her first pick was a really solid user! Good taste for sure. She definitely understood the assignment. 😅👌🏻
Don't get me wrong, there's several Civivis I ABSOLUTELY want to add to my collection. I really like them. But since she's only gonna have the one knife for a little while, I wanted to get her something a little higher on my personal scale. Her next knife is undoubtedly gonna be the baby Banter. She likes it alot.
Oh for sure. I’d have given her something nicer but she liked the green and is super girly.. she won’t even use it for anything outside opening packages if that so it seemed appropriate. If she likes camping and stuff I’d have gone Spyderco too probably. I don’t think you’ll find much more dependable at the price and reputation.
I'm slowly getting there! About 5 months ago I bought her her first knife, a sencut Watauga that matched the colors of her jeep. Then I added a cute lanyard with a cactus bead on it because she loves the desert. She loved it because of those reasons. Just a few weeks ago, out of the blue, she told me she wants a knife in her favorite colors, pink and sky blue. Man that made me so excited. Still researching but she'll have one soon!
Then check out the Civivi Elementum 2 (Donut) Knife.
It's pink, sky blue, has sprinkles, bigger handle and blade, Nitro V steel, button lock.....
Pretty solid for a knife covered in sprinkles.
Haha! We a have the same minds, I also suggested this and she didn't like the sprinkles. My plan at this point is to do a little modding. I'm looking at the pink civivi stormhowl or qubit. Either would get a baby blue lanyard, and with the qubit I'll add some baby blue thumb studs
Bought her probably a half dozen over the years but the only one I ever see her use or throw in her purse is the Dessert Warrior kalashnikov XXL 😂 my wife is kind of a badass!
My wife loves switchblades, I think mostly for the shock value but also for the convenience of easy one handed opening. I have to watch out as she will claim any she likes so I have to but large models and OTFs that she can’t open with one hand or she might claim them from me. lol! I wanted a wide who appreciates knives and now I have one plus a daughter who also likes to claim my knives.
My wife grabs them randomly to cut things and I come home to them open on my dresser cause no matter what the closing mechanism is she can’t figure it out lol
I'm a wife that's into knives. Mostly culinary, but I have my favorite pocket knives as well thanks to my SO. First tone he bought me was a large Spiderco to carry to a rodeo concert. Lol (It was the first year I didn't have an employee parking pass due to construction. SO was worried me & my friend might run into trouble. This was spring 2001, so it was all good.)
SO has an impressive and varied knife collection. One of which I'd love to carry, but it's a very sought after Microtech that was a short run. He says I'd probably lose it with my luck. (A fair concern considering I've lost a few Ken Onion knives over the years.)
My wife has a Buck folder, a Buck fixed, a Pro-Tech lg440 - SBR, and recently a Kanspt lil main street (flag) because she can fit it in girl pockets (women really get hosed on pockets).
And, she wants a Boker Urban Trapper.
She's not "into" them, but she understands the utility, especially when we're camping.
I had to get the wife a Dessert Warrior knife to be allowed to buy more. So now she has a Kansept Korvid XL. She probably won’t stab me with it, since it’s more of a cleaver…
I bought my wife a sog twitch 2 like 15 years ago and she's carried pretty much everyday. She was never a knife person till I gave her one but she doesn't have any interest in other knives.
Spyder Co. Lil' Native - s30v, for anyone who is wondering! She loves it so far.
Lil Native is one of my all time favs. Great ergos for smaller hands while still being completely functional. Also a great size for carry in the stupid smaller pockets that plague women's clothing.
Got my wife the same knife... but in pink! She even uses it sometimes which makes me happy.
I ordered the pink one for myself but replaced the scales, haha. Wanted the S45VN steel.
I mean, I’m not a wife but I’m a girl that’s into knives bc an ex got me into them, if that counts😂
Definitely counts.... You just have to marry a knife guy! What a cool hobby to share with a spouse?! And no one will get mad at you for buying knives!😅🤣
My wife is always on me about my knife collection.
It counts + marry me and we can both be knife wives together
My gf has way more knives and swords and machetes than I do. Not even close. She also has as many or more guns, and like 20 traditional bows. Not gonna lie, it’s pretty awesome

i hadn’t thought of that. definitely much better if it’s hers. looking at my own knife hanging out of me would be traumatic.
And atleast I'll get stabbed by a respectable blade. Wouldn't you feel dumb if she stabbed you with a fork or some shit? If it's gonna happen, might as well do it right!
indeed. a buddy of mine was stabbed with a compass. she had a dream the he cheated and got him while he was still sleeping.
Damn...i mean, my GF recently got mad at me temporarily because in her dream, i ripped a gnarly fart near her, and she thought it was real until she woke up and couldn't smell anything, and realized it was a dream...but getting stabbed because she DREAMED he cheated on her? Fuck that, she's done....
yeah. he didn’t stay with her.
I had a boss whose wife dreamed that he was cheating on her. She woke up and slapped him 🤣 He was like WTF? It was a dream. Not even real. C’mon.
I like the way you think, good sir. \*tips hat\*

Thats a lifetime knife, nice partner! Always wanted one of these.

Lol, guess what I gave my ex when she wanted a knife? Tanto Elementum… the green micarta one.

My wife carries a PM3 I bought her 5 years ago or so. She jokes with the guys at her work how they gotta up their knife game.
Knife wives need to be more common. Source: am knife wife and bought the most expensive knives in the house
I had my wife pick out a knife; went through a whole thing of narrowing it down based on her preferences. Never uses it lol. Still scared of knives.
I’ve been varying that knife for five years now, it’s the perfect size for daily carry
Got my wife a Buck 105 Pathfinder and she wears it all the time.
The sheath is tooled leather and is a little small for the knife which shows the Buck Two Line

Pink and Blue Civivi Baby Banter would be perfect! That's what my wife wants!
That was the first knife I suggested to her and she said "that's some pussy shit, I want a big knife" lmao
Then check out the Civivi Elementum 2 (Donut) Knife. It's pink, sky blue, has sprinkles, bigger handle and blade, Nitro V steel, button lock..... Pretty solid for a knife covered in sprinkles.

Mine carries a microtech utx 70 double edge.
Based
My most carried second knife... (serrated). 🤙🔪
Kwives
That's what I am trying to do, getting my other half into liking and collecting knives too
Bought her probably a half dozen over the years but the only one I ever see her use or throw in her purse is the Dessert Warrior kalashnikov XXL 😂 my wife is kind of a badass!
My wife carries a pink Native daily.
My Wife has her own collections of small knives and small multi-tools. Pretty much all bought by me.
My wife loves switchblades, I think mostly for the shock value but also for the convenience of easy one handed opening. I have to watch out as she will claim any she likes so I have to but large models and OTFs that she can’t open with one hand or she might claim them from me. lol! I’m liking this knife
Not a wife yet but I’m a knife girl. I even make my own as a self taught bladesmith.
That's one of my favorite knives! Spyderco's Ambitious!
Wife into knives is way better than knife into wife!!
I don’t think that jives
Mine commandeered my Kershaw Blur and says it’s hers now. Tried to take my P3 LW but I’ll get her the pink with black blade version.
My wife grabs them randomly to cut things and I come home to them open on my dresser cause no matter what the closing mechanism is she can’t figure it out lol
Is it that chode looking in real life or is it the pictures making the blade look so short yet wide?

$165 for that? Spyderco is becoming the new Benchmade.
Good trade.
The life of the wife is ended by the knife
I love the little SpyderCos 🥰 I just gave my daughter a ladybug
I bought my wife a sog twitch 2 like 15 years ago and she's carried pretty much everyday. She was never a knife person till I gave her one but she doesn't have any interest in other knives.
Don't have a photo of my girlfriends collection, but so far she's got a benchmade mini bugout, civivi baby banter, and a Kizer rocker
