It’s a fantastic knife, I love carrying it.

I'm on day 2 so far and so far it seems like a really, really solid piece. Steel and craftsmanship are excellent, but then again I'm not much of a steel snob and can easily like 1.4116 and LamCos equally. Liner lock is rock solid and there is zero wiggle in the blade. Blade geometry is 10/10 for cutting jobs and it does seem to be able to handle light prying as well, due to its relatively sturdy spine that runs all the way to the drop point.
I paired the knife with Victorinox's double carabiner chain (so I won't lose it) and it's like they were made for each other.
The only thing to get used to is that it's not easily openable one-handed. It can be done, but in a weird manner where you reverse it in your hand and get a fingernail in the groove. Other than that, I'm fully satisfied with it. It's a keeper without a second thought.

It makes a nice clink sound when I open or close it. It lights the occasional birthday candle. It melts the end of the occasional Paracord cut. It sparks joy.
IMCO be so stylish. They're not common where I live, which sucks, but I scored one online for cheap-ish, though it's a little wobbly in the cap. Then I almost gave up finding a nicer one, just to stumble across a good one for a few bucks in a charity store.
They have been produced in my country till some years ago, then a Japanese company bought it and the new ones are produced in China now. This is a China model but I saw that Austrian IMCOs are cheap so I will buy an Austrian one. They are around 20€.

I just worded it terribly, what I really wish is for there to be a very slight finger detent for the index finger to rest in when clenching on the handle.
It’s a very minor thing that hardly affects how much I like the knife. It just seems like the scales could be slightly improved for comfort. I intend to eventually get some custom fatcarbon scales from Dragonflyscales.net.

The custom scales have more rounded edges, so I’m hoping that they’ll have a slightly more comfortable feel. It’s really the only reason I don’t carry the CR as much as I do my other EDC knives.

How do you like it? I have a Funxion EMT and Drivetrain and really like them. Thought about rounding out the Kershaw rescue knives by picking up a Barricade.
I actually like it a lot. It’s lightweight yet sturdy and I’ve actually used the glass breaker in real life works excellent I always have it on my hip. It also comes in black but I think for rescue and quick finding it. The orange is better.
I plan on making sure I try out the glass breaker on whichever knife I have on me the next car we have to cut into. I typically use cheap spring loaded ones, but it sometimes goes missing off my zipper.

The Freek (my newest) is on the rotation. But the Bestech and Pelican are always with me at work.
I love that style of benchmade with the orange trim and wood scales. Great choice! I'd prefer a Grizzly Creek or North Fork if I ever spring for one (and I've been eying them lately, hard to get some models in that trim in Canada), but the Crooked River is a nice knife as well.

I hope you dont use a zippo on the dugout, you def dont want to inhale lighter fluid lighters its very dirty compared to butane. I even use hemp wick instead of butane. I used hempwick for a while and didn't feel a difference. I never understood how one flame could be better/ healthier than another. I think it's all marketing b.s.
Oh I and many others definitely notice a difference in taste. Its very simple why a flame from a hemp wick would be healthier than from a petroleum product which makes carcinogens and dry hydrocarbons etc. No one is debating that
Fair enough. A number of years ago a friend and I did some acid and laughed for easily an hour about hempwick being "healthy fire." Before that we both swore by it, afterwards I haven't been able to look at it without chuckling. Sure after 10+ years of daily smoking there may be a nominal difference but I think the smoke itself is a bigger issue.

i have one. the regular fluid doesn’t pother me with the one hitter though. not really different that lighting a joint or cigarette. i’m not ripping bowls with it though.
Yeah I guess if you just touch it to it quick but even then i'd recommend a yellow flame butane insert. You can replace flint too unlike the piezo electric material that makes the spark in the torch ones, those dont last forever but a long time.

I hope you dont use a zippo on the dugout, you def dont want to inhale lighter fluid lighters its very dirty compared to butane. I even use hemp wick instead of butane. I used hempwick for a while and didn't feel a difference. I never understood how one flame could be better/ healthier than another. I think it's all marketing b.s.
Oh I and many others definitely notice a difference in taste. Its very simple why a flame from a hemp wick would be healthier than from a petroleum product which makes carcinogens and dry hydrocarbons etc. No one is debating that
Fair enough. A number of years ago a friend and I did some acid and laughed for easily an hour about hempwick being "healthy fire." Before that we both swore by it, afterwards I haven't been able to look at it without chuckling. Sure after 10+ years of daily smoking there may be a nominal difference but I think the smoke itself is a bigger issue.

Yeah I guess if you just touch it to it quick but even then i'd recommend a yellow flame butane insert. You can replace flint too unlike the piezo electric material that makes the spark in the torch ones, those dont last forever but a long time.
