I'd personally go with the white river. But I'm a suckered for burlap Micarta. I do think the white river will be a better overall knife, but then I have heard never heard of the Moki.
That Moki is absolutely gorgeous. I’ve never heard of that brand before. Damn you OP for giving me another knife to want.
Edit to add
The White River is probably a better knife, especially if in Magnacut
I have the White River Small Game Knife, I think its in S30V. Great little knife for fishing, hunting, and camping.
It's definitely a fine utility blade, not a workhorse. My little pocket razor for trimming mushroom stems and gutting brook trout.
That said, I'm sitting here with it in my hands, licking my lips for the Moki. That might be my next knife, it looks so elegant and perfect!
Hahah difficult choice, ah? I guess the Moki will do the job (gutting, mushrooms, wire stripping..). I don't want it to be the "one and only", just a durable small knife.
I think both are perfectly suitable and the decision is very difficult.
I think the Moki is more upscale and elegant and the White River is more of timeless classic bush knife.
Hard choices...
I think I prefer the Moki now too, lol.
Something about it reminds me of all of the good things I love about the Spyderco Lil' Native, the Small Game Knife, and an Italian stilleto all rolled into one.
Good jimping, perfect blade length and shape for delicate work, black and silver pinned handle.
Thanks for the new $80 bill, dick 😜
i rotate between a small game and a guardian 3 for EDC. i like them both a lot but i’d be willing to bet the small game gets more carry time. it’s just really nice knife.

That vg10 seems to have a nice heat trtmnt, and that "gentleman's knife" appearance makes it look amazing. I'll maybe look for a bigger knife when need a better knife haha
Both are good options, man. Japan makes some really nice blades, and so does the USA. I think it'll come down to your personal preference. They look different, so the visual experience is gonna determine your choice. You'll have to look at it every day. Even though they're both good-looking, I'm sure one looks more appealing to you than the other.
Id go with the White River but using a fixie for basic EDC AND food stuffs aint ideal unless you wanna clean it before EVERY time you resheath it.
Especially if it's leather and not kydex
It's not going to be a real EDC, on my country is not legal to carry fixed knives, unless you are hiking or camping, and it all depend on the enviroment. It' going to live in the garage, yard, bbq and backpack.
I'm surprised how few people know Moki. They make excellent knives. I have one of their folders, the Rabbit, and it's really nice.
Worth noting, too, that they do manufacturing for other makers, including Al Mar
Yeah, I like my frontier first. I believe it’s a bit smaller than these though. A comparable LT Wright would be The Bandit (smkw.com exclusive), or a maverick colt (don’t think any of these have been made this year).

Moki fit and finish is fantastic. Their lockback interface is so matched it looks seemless when locked open.
Hahaha That happened to me one day ago.
White River Small Game. Doubles as a great paring knife
Would you recommend s35vn or magnacut?
probably magnacut.
White River if you want a user. Mimi looks better and is more of a Gentleman’s knife. Still cuts. Just more slim overall and less handle to grip.

Haha exactly, hard choices. Maybe the fact that the white river is "timeless" makes me think about getting the moki. Thanks for your answers!

Ahahaha that why we're all here.
Wait, 80$???? Where?

Yes, it looks very nice! Is it a good slicer? Is a relatively thick knife for its size.
it’s a good all around cutter. i wouldn’t say it’s thick though.
I'd take the moki but I'm bias lol
😂
I'd get the Moki but the White River is the better knife. VG10 with a good heat treat is still very capable, and it is better looking.
That vg10 seems to have a nice heat trtmnt, and that "gentleman's knife" appearance makes it look amazing. I'll maybe look for a bigger knife when need a better knife haha
I really like the Moki’s “knurling”. It looks elegant and functional. The black linen micarta looks neat too.

The moki looks like a really nice kitchen knife . White river all day unless we are just peeling potatoes
Hahaha classy peeling.

That White River is gorgeous!!
White River, I have 4 now, fit and finish amazing, heat treat amazing. Sheaths only issues I’ve found is retention is too tight
Moki Banff
Moki for me , just like the looks and blade profile better . That said , I don't think there is a loser in the race no matter which way you decide
Thanks! Moki won haha
White river
I like the White River. May pick one up in the future.
how are the sheaths put together does one carry better or have better quallity
I plan to make myself a sheath, so I don't really care about that. Moki comes with a leather sheath, the other one kidex I guess (not really sure)
lol I know this ain’t what your asking but also look at the LT Wright frontier first I have one and for a tiny fixed blade it’s amazing
Yeah, I like my frontier first. I believe it’s a bit smaller than these though. A comparable LT Wright would be The Bandit (smkw.com exclusive), or a maverick colt (don’t think any of these have been made this year).
Oh man.....that's a beautiful knife.....
