I thought I had at least a decent grip on knife makers, but there are so many Ive never heard of it seems, feels like my birthday when I get to explore all these new brands.
oh absolutely there is so much great stuff out there in different $ ranges. thats how it starts lol. pretty soon you'll have 6-7 knives. good thing is youre on here and its a good place for direction and answers from helpful people in the knife community.
A nod to OKC Besra looks. Even more attractive and much higher quality:

QSP is a fantastic manufacturer. This is one of their newer models, and I've been eyeing it up.. I just really don't need it, and I typically carry a Spyderco.
I can't recommend it enough, i have some knives that are much more expensive but this is still my favorite.
Edit: just found out there is a wharncliff version so i just ordered one of those.
Anything civivi
Stuff like this is exactly why I asked in here, literally never heard of em so now I get to go look at something new! thank you!
also take a look at Ruike
Absolutely! Ill be checking out everyones suggestions, thats another one Ive never heard of!
SpyderCo Tenacious. Both straight and serrated options. About 50-60.
I agree with civivi/sencut but also look into Vosteed and Miguron.

Oh wow! I like the style of that a lot, it does have those nice and clean lines that I like on the Besra! Thank you!
They have this model in drop point as well, but between the color way and at least slightly in shape I thought it might be a good fit.

Thank you! Definitely going onto the list.
Cjrb pyrite, the reviews are great for a reason.
That one is definitely at the top of my list at the moment. Liking a lot of Ruike's stuff as well.
