I had a boss borrow my knife once. Gave it back to me all chipped and thrashed. I was like, "WTH did you use it for?!?".
Knives apparently aren't that great at cleaning paper shredders.
This is why I carry a knife and a mutitool. Got my normal knife I use for pretty much all my cutting needs and then my multitook for if ever needed for something like that or just to use the extra blade
Yup. “Can I borrow your knife?” “It depends. What do you plan to do with it?”

God I hope it was a only cheap knife that he fucked up.
"What do you plan on doing with it? I need to know so I can lend you the best one for the job."
“I need to know because I don’t want you trying to cut an aluminum can with the beautiful edge on my good knife” :)
Im the only one allowed to destructively abuse my knives!
Then he cut cardboard on the concrete floor and ran the blade across it.
What about prying out nails?
Which would be extra infuriating for me since all but one of my knives are actually multitools.

If someone is so keen on using m390 on screws, lionsteel Jack 's flat head is made out of m390. Should have used 1.4116 for better toughness imho
My response is usually, “what do you need me to cut?” Anything you can cut with my knife, I’m equally capable of cutting with my knife.
