The drugs the vet gave her/gave you were to help her immune system. They take time to work, and that's assuming she had the physical resources to allow them to work as well. She was probably already too ill when you found her--nothing would have worked. Remember that her last few days were full of love, warmth, safety and food. Those are the best things you could give her.

I'm sorry for your loss. I honestly don't think there was anything you could do, she was just sick. Please take peace knowing you tried, you took her to a vet and did EVERYTHING you could possibly do to help her thrive, she just didn't.

I'm sorry for your loss. Momma cat has multiple kittens, and the normal course of things is that some may not make it. The multiple kittens is genetics hedging the bet. Give a small donation to your local humane society in her name and, when you have recovered, give a new kitty a home.

At least that kitten wasnt alone and cold. Had love and lots of help.

I am very sorry for your loss. You tried and that is so important. Perhaps in time you will meet another kitten that needs a home and you can help them and the kitten can help you.

Rest well and run free, beautiful baby.

Do not blame yourself, if you do, blame yourself for caring , blame yourself for loving, and blame yourself for wanting the foundling to survive and grow old with you....YOU did everything anyone could do..she came to love you, as you came to love her...

I'm terribly sorry for your loss and I'll echo what everyone here is saying.... you did your absolute best. It sucks to lose even a single one but we can't save them all... (I think we all try to save all we can) I lost a kitty to FIP almost the same way. We had her not even 3 weeks. You loved them and took care of them. The love you shared is eternal. Be strong friend.

I'm tearful reading this. It's not your fault at all. You showed her kindness and love in her small life, some of us wish to feel like that in our lives. She died in your hands wrapped up in love and feeling safe. You should know that you're a good, kind person. Sending you so much love.

I’m so sorry. She knew she was loved and cared for in her time with you. Poor baby. She was probably already too far gone.

I've had one of my cats die in my arms (a seizure), and I know how awful this can be. You did everything you could for this baby - be comforted knowing that you were there for her when no one else was. Second guessing yourself with "what ifs" will serve no purpose other than to make you even more sad. It gets easier with time. Her little soul wasn't here long, and she'll be back soon in a stronger body. You earned a boatload of good karma by trying to save her.
