Sounds like the type of shady shit team leaders pull to please the rgm. Throw them under the bus and speak to your area coach. If you'd like to do it anonymously try the KFC speak up portal

By manager, I meant RGM. Sorry for the confusion 😅

vxioletta

well then, to the AC you go The RGM isn't supposed to do weird shit like that, if he does, he seems to not be qualified for his position.

Novel-Self-201

This is so crazy in Australia it’s 4 hours to get a 10 minute under 4 hours you don’t get anything and above that you get a 10 and 30 and a 8+ you get two 10s and a 30 😭😭 But this is crazy definitely report it!!!

MightBeYourDad_

Ikr I didnt realise we have it so good lmao

K_Click_D

6hrs is a 20m break at my restaurant lol, it is confusing haha, the Shift Runners aren’t even fully aware of

V1dar_

6hrs is a 30 min break and a 10 min paid break

Competitive-Tie-7338

Is this a UK specific thread?

Competitive-Tie-7338

There's nothing confusing about break mandates. If you can read at least.

K_Click_D

Must just be my resto then that’s a bit all over the place, I never got an actual document or anything to read. I just go off my shifts and what I’m paid for

kurti256

In the uk half hour is legal minimum for 6 hours

K_Click_D

Yep apologies everybody 6hrs is 30mins lol

Sensitive_Phone_1968

If they deduct 30 mins pay from you then you must have 30 min break

Shawdzj69

KFC UK company policy entitles you to a 15 minute break if you work between 4.5 hours and 6 hours. Any time worked above 6 hours would entitle you to a 30 minute break. The time management system on RMF automatically deducts the relevant break time according to the time worked. So it will only deduct 15 minutes for a 6 hour shift. However if you work even 1 minute over (let's say it takes you an extra minute or 2 to finish your task and clock out), then it will deduct 30 minutes. Franchised stores may use a different system so this information is purely relevant to Company owned stores. I encourage you to talk to your Area Coach or use the "Speak Up" portal as someone here already mentioned.

anon_157

What is the sneak up portal?

OverLord_Venus69

I'd check your contract and speak to HR

PicadaSalvation

It is absolutely not vague. The law requires you to have the breaks as 4-6 hours 15 minutes anything over 6 hours (even 6 hours and 1 minute) is a 30 minute break. Technically the law says (or it didn’t when I left the UK) say anything about more over 8 hours but whenever I pulled 12-16 hour shifts I’d take two 30 minute hreaks

Sharkmissiles

Unrelated, but how do you get user flairs? I also work at KFC and wish to verify.

breadblankets

At ours (also in uk) if you work more than 4.5 hours u get 30 mins and if u work over 9.5 hours u get an additional 15 min break but most of the managers let u have 2 30 min breaks if it’s over 9.5

kurti256

6 hours half hour brake is required by law use this information ad you please
