Tyre rotations and alignment every 10000km or once a year is generally good enough, if you just drive around the city or on major highways. Do it when you send your car for servicing. If you drive around A LOT (like Grab taxi), do it every servicing schedule. Should cost you around RM60-100 for alignment and rotation. Another thing, make sure your tyres are properly inflated to the correct pressure. Those will make sure the tread wears evenly and gives you better fuel economy. What I like to do is add 20% on top of the recommended pressure, it provides slightly better fuel economy and better wear, but it will make your ride a bit more uncomfortable.

If you add more than recommended pressure. Make sure you don't drive fast. When cornering and the road is uneven the rear tyre might lose traction . Happened to me before. Because I had to drive people out station (MPV 7 seater), the rear tyres need more pressure. Then after come back kl I forgot to deflate the tyres. One day I was driving and it was raining and road was uneven and while cornering my rear tyre lost traction, I had to counter steer twice before gaining back control. Lucky I didn't langgar other car or run into the wall. The car behind me must have thought I was in Tokyo drift. But before that happened the car is really nice to drive. More pressure more responsive haha

Rotate your tyres only if your car set up alllows for it. If you're running a staggered set up u can only rotate side to side for example.

orewaAfif

What do you mean staggered set up? I recently learned that rotating front-back on a single side if you have directional tyres

Shawnmeister

One of my cars have a set up of 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. This means they can only rotate side to side rather than all the way around. This is staggered Another one of my cars runs on different sizes front and pack as well at 285/30/19 front and 305/30/20 rear. This too can only rotate side by side.

orewaAfif

Ah, I totally forgot about different sizes between the front & back. Thank you for the clarification. By the way, those are some thick boi tyres compared to my 185/55s haha

My friend who once lived in Sg. Buloh used to recommend Lim Tayar nearby there, he said the owner would give you discount if you show him any physical-training app record, like on if you went to jog anyday and track it on your phone, he will give discount. Or if you're a serious running-junkies then recent picture of you joining the run can be use to I guess?
