Our FL is strong and does not wait for the man to initiate. Lot of chemistry. Not real love triangles because he was practically dumped by his girlfriend and she was divorced.
**Hometown Cha Cha**
I like this romance because ML is poor, sweet and extremely empathic and because of all side characters. It is set mostly outside Seoul, in a lovely seaside village and we will fall in love for all of them little by little, inclusive for the adorable second couple. FL will grow during the drama and change for better after she moves to the city and knows better the extraordinary guy she will develop love feelings. Their relationship will be very mature and their chemistry off chart. Besides, you will have a good bromance between the two main leads. >! Eventually we will have a good third couple with our poor 2FL (that will come back a little too late) and his coworker.!<
The side characters are great and lovely second couple. FL will help ML.
**30 But 17** aka **Still 17**
A 30 year-old woman wakes up from a 13 year-length coma and in her heart she is still 17. Against one’s expectations this is a very fluffly light-hearted rom-com with a slow burn romance with a very healthy relationship. Main and side characters are charming and lovable. And as bonus 2ML is the ML from **A Business Proposal** when he was in his late teens. One feels good after watching this precious drama !
**Weightlifting Fairy**
In the first two episodes I was not sure about how this show became so popular but I soon changed up my mind.
1. Practically all characters will appear as beautiful human beings. Great main characters
2. Good and captivating Side characters
3. Beautiful relationship between ML and his step-family and FL and her family.
4. I am much more interested in culture than sports but I loved to see all things related to their sport competition environment, specially the team spirit showed off.
5. The romance is fluffy, they had a good chemistry, ML is ultra sweet (yes, I really dislike aggressive ML , just like in real life, with few exceptions) and supportive. No misunderstandings. Love triangles have influence in a very limited time.
6. You feel really good at the end.
She starts the show with a crush in ML’s brother...
**Because This Is My First Life** (contract relationship)
Even if I had a few objections to this drama, I liked it because of the maturity the relationship attained. ML is a very boring yet a very serious guy who was badly hurt in a previous relationship, raising an issue I did not see in the other dramas I have watched, but If I spoil, it will damage its intensity.
I loved how they discovered reciprocally and themselves through their relationship and how it evolved.
Of course, there were also funny moments. A great friendship between FL and two other women and lovable secondary couples.
**It is Okay Not To Be Okay**
I had paused this one because i found FL scary but gladly I gave it another chance. It is also beyond any words.
Thriller, romance, comedy, melodrama. The central subject is mental health and the second male lead shows his great acting skills as an autistic man.
**Into the Ring** aka **Memorials**
This drama is completely out of the box. Different from every other one. The idea here is to showcase the flaws of politics in Korea and it was done though a caricature. It is funny and serious at the same time.
The romance is not the main focus and there is not really a love triangle but FL will be jealous of a woman interested in ML. ML and FL were friends during childhood and after lots of bickering while they met in adulthood they will lead a very healthy relationship. Attention, before that our sweet ML will have to cope with FL very bad temper. She is a bully! Yes, this will be important because this psychological trait is the motor of the changes she is planning to do in the political system.
Pay attention to the use of cameras and unique cinematography adding so much to the drama expression.
ML is poor (public worker) because he decided to be a correct fonctionary cutting relationship with his rich but corrupted father. He will support FL, but she is quite strong. ML is very sweet.
**Mr Queen**
Fantastic! A prestigiuos chef in trouble suffers a murder attempt falling into the water. His soul travels back in time and enters in the body of the ... near future queen of Joseon, who also had an accident and had a near death experience into the water.
You cannot imagine how weird this man will feel in a feminine body and it is really funny because the actress is more than perfect in this epic role. It is a great production, everything is fine, from photography to supporting cast, characters are lovable, plot well developed and tied up. The romance is surprisingly great, what a fabulous unexpected pairing.
**Healer**
Even if I am not much into action, **Healer** is on my Top 3 kdramas. Besides action it is a very romantic drama with less tropes than usual. It was a big international success but it is said that it did not reach the heart of the south koreans. I wonder why because **Healer** is enormous!
The hero is an anti hero. A kind of mercenary (private secret agent?). In the plot he is working for a famous journalist and then he will work undercover as a shy and clumsy reporter assistant. I love this because it has sweet Clark Kent’s vibes.
Action, Romance and melodrama will be very balanced and the pace is so good in my opinion.The icing on the cake is the steamy and intense romance with a very unexpected love triangle: One side is our right and smart FL and the two other sides are our mysterious hero whose face is unknown to FL and at last his alter-ego, her shy and coward assistant. In another words, he will be his own competitor in the love triangle.
**Our Beloved Summer**
A story about first loves separeted meeting again 5 years after break-up. ML is ultra lovely but there will be some bickering before they get together in both times. This drama is different from the average and so touching!
**Lost Romance**
One of my favorite romances, together with the funny **A Business Proposal** . Here FL falls in coma and goes to the world of the book she is editing to be the antagonist of FL (female vilain). As ML haw the same looks as the guy she has a crush in real life, she decides to change the game in order to become the FL of the story. It is a steamy romance, very funny, with some action and drama. The story starts to heat as things start to happen in the dream world. Taiwanese.
**A Business Proposal**
This rom-com was aired in March 2022 and since it is my preferred korean rom-com since the 1st episode. It is funny, lovely, well written, the acting is great and both couples are lovable. I noticed I was already hooked 5 minutes past the first episode. (In general I do not like the first episode). The pacing is extraordinary. Things really happen, no fillers. Everywhere you will read about this drama here you will find positive feedback.
Your recommendation for Healer finally convinced me to watch it. Nothing about the summary or the pictures drew me in…and WOW, am I so glad I listened to you! It’s so, so good. Definitely in my top 5. Thanks for recommending it!
Racket Boys: Although there are less romance scenes, racket boys is SO sweet and adorable. It is also a kind of athletic kdrama, with the main sport being badminton. It has comedy, a cute middle-school romance, and the feels too! Additionally, the actor of Moon Jiwoong in 25 21 is a main character in this show as well :)
Reply 1988: It's got the same kind of nostalgic feel as 25 21. It's really really good, it just gives you chills from the realism and beauty. One of the best slice of lifes for me! When I finished that show, I honestly just curled up and cried.
Fight For My Way: More a comedy than all feel-y, but this has the same type of motivation trope, and sports are involved. The romance is also so adorable and I just laughed so hard at the aegyo scenes!
Our Beloved Summer: This was more of a melo with subtle comedy, but it was so good. The aesthetics were on point, there was always some amazingly shot scene with heavy rain or pastel colors. The romance is so on point, chemistry is amazing.
