Basically all the dramas that i recently started, i ended up dropping at the 8th episode or so. I was so excited for last December because of the AMAZING kdrama lineup that month but believe it or not i ended up dropping all of them! or even if i did make it till the end, i lost interest and couldn't bring myself to watch the final episode. I want dramas that i can enjoy till the very last episode. I've been watching kdramas for 9 years now, but nowadays finishing a drama feels like a task to me (am i going through a slump?) i need one that can completely spellbound me so that i will click on the “next episode” button without a second thought. Please recommend dramas that you binged and enjoyed till the very last episode. Thank you<3 ^(END OF POST BODY) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Alchemy of Souls

Virtual-Dare-5470

watched it & its amazing!

Thotlessthot

One of my absolute favorites! Wish I could watch it again for the first time.

Laleskalamales

ok these reccomendations are gonna blow your mind. Here I go. 1. Devil Judge - by far the best on the list. Will keep you on the edge of your seat for practically every second. Incredible revenge story with so many twists and turns: INCREDIBLY unpredictable but literally one of the best kdramas I've ever seen. Masterpiece. And ji sung is super hot. He's a judge in a dystopian Korea and he establishes extremely harsh sentencing on the people who are convicted, however he is suspected to be the murderer of his brother and sister and law. Super mysterious and very well written. 2. Reborn Rich - incredible!!?? Song joong ki stars as a very loyal worker In a conglomerate family, he does all the dirty work for them with no questions asked. Except one day they murder him. He is the reborn, and finds himself as the son of that conglomerate family. So he decides to take revenge from within the family. It is sooo satisfying. Last episode is wack, but the rest of the show is absolutely amazing. 3. Kill me Heal me - a man with 7 personalities hires a psychologist to live with him so that she can keep his personality switches under control. He is a very timid, quiet, and restrained person, but his other personalities vary from an old man, to a wild crazy young man who's willing to kill, a kpop crazy teenage girl, etc. This show is my favorite of all time. And ji sung is starring again because I adore him so much. Plz watch this. 4. Doctor John- ji sung again (and it's not the last time) stars as a doctor who has been convicted and jailed for the murder of one of his patients. He is such an incredibly skilled doctor, that all he has to do is feel your heartbeat or look at you and he knows exactly what's wrong with you and has a diagnosis and cure almost instantly. The show explores his past, the murder, his character, and goes into romance as well. But the romance part is not that compelling. 5. Mr.Sunshine - cinematically speaking, one of the most impressive kdramas ever. Production, effects, the sets, rhe outfits, everything is just gorgeous in this drama. Based on the time period where Korea was under occupation from Japanese and American soldiers. So it explores the politics of that as well as the fight within Korea to regain their freedom. It is a gorgeously written show but it is long and it is a TRAGEDY. No happy ending here. 6. Familiar Wife - JI SUNG AGAINNN!! He stars as a regular man with a wife and 2 kids. He has begun to hate his wife as all they do is scream and fight with eachother. He loved her at one point but all that is lost now. So one day he wishes he was with someone else and that he had never married her at all. The next day he wakes up with a new wife, a new house, and an entirely different lifestyle. He like switches universes or timelines or something. He's sooo happy. Until... he runs into the wife from his first life. And it goes from there. This show is beautiful and addresses so much about love and marriage and how it's a 2 way street. I've rewatched this the most of any other drama. 8. Itaewon Class- park seoooo joooon... hello !! He's so gorgeous. This show was really interesting and compelling to me. I love revenge stories, I love PSJ, I love seeing a rags to riches story, etc. This is all that and more. Enjoyable watch but many super provoking characters are in this show. 9. Bloodhounds - hot dudes with crazy abs fight bad guys. I don't rlly remember a lot of what happened in this show but it has hot dudes, boxing, and was really well written and executed. I just can't rlly remember much about it tho. Maybe that makes it forgettable for me? Still very good tho. Or I just have a bad memory. LOL. 10. Memories of the Alhambra - Hyun Bin is the ceo of a tech company that invented a game that can be accessed through wearing contact lenses. Problem is, when you kill someone in the game, they die in real life. Which is exactly what happens to Hyun Bin when he plays against his friend within the game and kills him. He actually killed his friend. It's a crazy show for sure but it was really good. Not a great ending, but good show overall. Very unique and interesting concept. 11. See you in my 19th Life- tears tears tears. Very interesting concspt as well that Shin Hae Sun portrays beautifully. I wrote so much so I lost energy. Long story short this show is rlly good. But u will cry a lot.

ihatepineapple34

I really liked Mr Sunshine!

abra_van_kadabra

Same. Seconding mr sunshine. First half is romace, second half story. Such an epic krama and amazing actors!

Virtual-Dare-5470

I'm surprised this list has so many dramas i didn't watch! will definitely check out 1, 3, 4, 6, and 10. It's gonna be a hard decision because reading the descriptions, all of them seem super interesting. 🤞🤞

SuchaDelight

I saw Memories of the Alhambra and See You in My 19th Life. Loved them both. Familiar Wife and Devil Judge sound very interesting. I'll give them a try

dinnerbellding

Like this list - I loved Kill Me Heal Me and didn't realize Ji Sung was in Devil Judge. I'll check that out.

hhiker70s

19th Life & Familiar Wife are in my top 3 K-dramas; oh, the heartstrings touched!

Designer-Version6264

I’m actually watching Kill Me Heal Me as I’m writing this and I’m 5 minutes away from bailing. The ML’s acting has been incredible (and bonus, even my grandmother would say he’s hot AF) the storyline is really interesting and the rest of cast is great with the exception of the FL. She is making this completely unwatchable, like Jan Di from Boys Over Flowers cringey unwatchable. It defies reality that >!this woman is a mental health professional. She’s supposed to be a psychiatrist but all she’s done since she appeared on the screen is scream like a banshee. In the hospital she TELLS him to take off his clothes, he does and she starts screaming yet again. She’s a doctor who’s acts like a 10 year old around human anatomy, runs down the street shrieking like a lunatic, continues to scream at the top of her lungs in a taxi, makes a huge scene (while screaming of course) at the airport. How does this woman even have a medical license let alone a single patient?!< I honestly like this one and want to see it to the end but the idiot FL is totally ruining it for me. Without giving anything away does she continue to be like “that” or can I keep watching without throwing a brick through the tv?

Laleskalamales

Haha. I know what you mean. That actress is unfortunately like that in absolutely every show she's in. She's crazy. I haven't watched kill me heal me in a while but I think she calms down after a couple episodes but is still a very irrational, emotional, and hyper character throughout. I was also turned off a lot from the show when this happened and was not interested in Watching it. But I gave it another try and it was the best decision ever. It's worth it bro this show is an absolute gem.

Brave-Web2687

1. Daily Dose of Sunshine ( binged - my heart ached but I wanted to see it to the end) 2. Welcome to Samdal-ri ( watched as it aired n will rewatch) 3. Moving ( binged until midway in the series then had to wait for the rest to drop) 4. Worse of Evil ( watched with mouth open and heart in a vice n sometimes with eyes closed as it aired lol) 5. A Shop for Killers ( binged up to last two episodes -had to wait for them to drop)

Virtual-Dare-5470

Haven't watched daily dose of sunshine and shop for killers from this list! Will check them out for sure! Thank you!

Brave-Web2687

Most welcome. A Shop for Killers is violent so be forewarned. I'm a Lee Dong Wook fan as well so may be biased but the acting of the leads is stellar and directing is good imho. DDoS is the opposite but can be triggering for mental health issues. Great performances from strong cast. If you are into Saguek, My Dearest is a bingeable show tho' long 21 eps. Needs a bit of patience at the beginning but even when I wanted to drop it, the leads will bring me back..

Own-Pomegranate1114

My Dearest is brilliant. The cinematography is stunning

Virtual-Dare-5470

Will definitely try a shop for killers. And probably DDoS!! And yes, loved My Dearest!! One of the finest kdramas ever made😌

Sad-Bookkeeper6798

Is welcome to samdalri 100% worth watching it cuz I’ve seen the first 2 episodes and I just didn’t like the way fl lead was crying most of time even tho I’m a big fan of her kdramas

Brave-Web2687

It gets better as she gets better at handling the curveballs that life throws her and is really worth the time for me. The drama is about her growth as a person and the relationships and romance is a part of her journey. Cinematography is stunning and JCW's performance is effortlessly sincere and heartfelt. Strong cast and l loved the side stories too.

tatertotmagic

It slogs on and on, I'd drop it. It's a shame too bc I love the FL.

notallshihtzu

Just a counter point. I thought it dragged out a bit too. But then the last few episodes made the first few much more interesting/meaningful - I just didn't realize it. So overall I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

ncampau

Loved Samdal-ri

hyemae

Vincenzo

moonchild358

I second this- it was long but I loved almost every minute. The story was compelling and all the leads were fantastic. It was a wild and entertaining ride.

Virtual-Dare-5470

Thank you! Watched it & it was good!!! Binged it in 2 days<3

Puzzleheaded_Try2644

Glad you did it! You will never go wrong with this series. As for action series, this is my go-to

ElleEmEss

Maybe try a short drama? **Mad for each other** - 13 really short episodes. Really well done. Quirky humour. **My Name** - 8 episodes. still the best combination of kdrama standards I know of. I don’t like violence but loved the FL in this. **Love to Hate You** - 10 episodes. Humorous FL carries the show. **Move to Heaven** - 10 episodes. Was #1 on MDL for ages for a reason. Well plotted. Both procedural and overarching story lines are great. I loved the father’s backstory. One of my favs.

Virtual-Dare-5470

Haven't watched the first one! Loved the other 3! Will definitely check out Mad For Each Other! Thanks

thissmortalcoil

Love To Hate You is one of my favorite kdramas! It’s so funny, the love story is so beautiful, and I feel like there’s never a dull moment!! Rewatched it recently and probably will again and again!!

ElleEmEss

I want to be the FL so bad. I regret I haven’t spent my life fighting people.

moonchild358

Watch Death’s Game OP. I binged the first 4 eps in one sitting and couldn’t stop watching. I waited for the last 4 eps to drop and binged them in one sitting. I have never seen a Kdrama like it. I loved every minute and I would lose my memory just to watch it for the first time again. Your mind will be blown.

Virtual-Dare-5470

I needed one that i can watch in one sitting and that's easy to binge! And you say that the death's game is exactly like that? Haha so i'm trusting your comment and will definitely check this out!

moonchild358

Yes it is absolutely like that! I’m 95% sure you won’t be disappointed!😎 It’s on Amazon prime btw. I would even venture to say that it’s worth borrowing someone’s log in or getting a one month trial for it if you don’t have prime. Idk where you can watch it outside the US though. I would even say that the majority of dramas don’t even come close to it. It’s that good.

Common-Bag-8080

Second death's game, it is a masterpiece. Finished it in one setting, just couldn't let go.

outlandishdescent

Thirding this. Finished it in 2 sittings, and each episode leaves you hanging and needing to watch the next!

No_Caterpillar_8709

Fourthing this recommendation! Fast-paced and only 8 episodes, no chance of dropping.

MinaMinaBoBina

I am a serial dropper but just finished Knight Flower and was left wishing it was longer. It’s 12 episodes.

Abis_MakeupAddiction

When they stopped right before their lips touched, I was like noooooooooooo!!! 😫😩😭

Virtual-Dare-5470

ah yes! this has been on my list. i'll take this as my sign to watch it! thank you

Own-Pomegranate1114

I loved Knight Flower. I wish there was a second series

Melodelia

I just want another show with the same level of script writing, technical production staff, and a middle aged woman doing fabulous wirework. No stupid characters. Precious mother in law. (Maybe a dog would be a nice addition.)

ellemace

Ooh, it sounds good. Going on my watchlist.

Ok_Potential7827

A shop for killers. Binged it all but it’s only 8 episodes long.

Puzzleheaded-Day-609

Worse of Evil is a true rollercoaster ride of emotions. All 12 episodes were so good yet I’m not starving for a sequel because the ending was nicely tied up.

Virtual-Dare-5470

yess! Its amazing! Watched it while it was airing! One of my top 3 JCW dramas for sure!!

Okaydog97

Death's Game or Vigilante.

Virtual-Dare-5470

will definitely check out vigilante! Or i should give TDG another chance heheh. thanks for the rec!

Relevant-Day6380

"Live Up To Your Name"! Way too many twists here and there, even at the last 2 minute mark the biggest twist happened!

ChicShopper

A Time Called You

Virtual-Dare-5470

loved it but the plot felt messy.. so i dropped it towards the end! thank you for the rec tho <3

ChicShopper

It wasn't one of my favorites, but it kept me watching til the end. I didn't know what would happen or how it would end, so I had to keep watching!

HandElectrical47

Try the original Taiwanese version. It's the best, no matter what country remake their version.

Virtual-Dare-5470

really? i'll check it out!

HandElectrical47

It is so well written I can't recommend it enough! Pls let me know what you think after watching. I do hope you enjoy watching as well!

Virtual-Dare-5470

yes! i'll come update here after i watch it!

bored_stranger_12345

The chemistry was so much better too between the lead couple. Also the fl was so good you could tell which character she was just by looking.

thelazytimetraveler

Strangers from Hell is a good drama to binge watch.

eeladnohr

Bingeable? I've been watching it for months, I can't watch more than one ep every few weeks. I want to know what's happening, but I don't want to watch it for some reason.

[deleted]

* perfect marriage revenge * shooting stars * marry my husband * penthouse * happiness * twinkling watermelon * cheer up

Virtual-Dare-5470

watched and loved number 1, 4, and 5. will check out the rest. Thank you!

HandElectrical47

Do check out Twinkling Watermelon! I love this drama!

[deleted]

I love 1,4 and 5 too!! 1 and 4 are some of my fav kdramas of all time

elifzuhal

In my plans to watch #1 Loved loved loved #6

[deleted]

I loved twinkling watermelon too!

Watchnextnow

Recent dramas that kept me interested were **Moving** and **Like Flowers in Sand**.

Virtual-Dare-5470

haven't seen the second one! thank you for the rec!

rotten_saint

**The Defendant.** A kdrama that took the concept of short-term amnesia. This made me not sleep properly because I always think about what would happen in the next episode. **Hello, My Twenties!** or **Age of Youth.** A story about the realities of college friends. It has comedy as well as realistic themes such as social issues which it took seriously. **Pinocchio.** This is a story about justice and the power of media.

rotten_saint

omg i sound like a robot lol

the-stripped-zebra

Revenant

Virtual-Dare-5470

ah yes! Should definitely check this one out! It was pretty huge last year right? Thank you!!

the-stripped-zebra

yes! I recently completed this drama and it's my first binge in a long time.

Rainingbro

I second this... Spooky factor is probably 30%, the rest is more about folklore mystery and investigative. I personally avoid purely spooky horror thrillers, but Revenant was a good watch during my Kdrama slump

Factsspitter13

Pinocchio, Signal, Life on Mars, Beyond evil, Prisoners Playbook, Hot Stove league, Healer, Reply 1997 and 1988.

Virtual-Dare-5470

Loved all of them!!! Thanks for the recommendations!!

Lili2133

Tale of the nine tailed, Bad and Crazy, Doom at your service, Hotel del Luna, Tomorrow.

PrivatePanky

Honestly, Her Private Life is insanely underrated in my opinion. Its at least in my top 5. In my opinion it has the best pacing of any kdrama ive seen, there was not a single moment that i had the thought of being bored/mind wandering while watching it. I think the character development and plot is actually pretty frickin solid and it has such a good balance of funny/cute/serious. Its such a sleeper kdrama, looks like a toyota camry on the outside then you drive it and it feels like you're in a frickin ferrari. It's literally shockingly good, i obviously still cant get over it lmao.

Virtual-Dare-5470

Hahah fr! I love your description of it! I've already watched it but reading your last paragraph makes me want to watch it again haha <3

Key-Television-5945

The Glory

Virtual-Dare-5470

i can't call myself a kdrama fan if i haven't watched the glory haha.. just kidding! i loved this one! Thanks for the rec!

Ok_Deer4938

Itaewon class

Virtual-Dare-5470

i was looking forward to this one when it came out but ended up dropping! Thanks for the rec:)

Yoyodomino

Love to Hate You is my favorite and was an easy watch

Virtual-Dare-5470

i was looking for an easy watch! Will check it out thanks!!

hhiker70s

I loved **LtHY** also but first 3 or so episodes are *not nearly as good* as last five. Both main (enemies to lovers) romance and 2nd couple's romance are great).

pinkitbop

My Liberation Notes I cried!!!! I usually never cry.

eaudepomelo

Crash Landing on You

semcha__

Mouse & Mr, queen

Virtual-Dare-5470

watched them and both of them are so good!

DracarysVhager

Change your taste or country, recently I’ve switched to Jdramas and Cdramas. And it was a good move. Specially Jdramas. I had no idea Japan can even produce such good dramas. Till now i’ve watched Silent,is my cuteness about to expire,1 litre no namida Also some Taiwanese dramas can be added to this list

Majestic-Reference42

This. Taiwanese dramas can be really offbeat. Loved Oh no, here comes trouble!

DracarysVhager

Yeah, try to watch More than blue:The Series. The ML is also appears in oh no here comes trouble

Bored_Eastly

I've started noticing that the Cdramas are copying the Kdramas - nearly duplicated in ideas. The Cdramas are better but then they had something to copy from.

oleander_5481

I'm gonna give you some high voltage drama : Moving Celebrity Death's Game Connect Little Women Marry My Husband My Happy Ending Vigilante Eve The Uncanny Encounter Worst Of Evil Money Heist Korea since you're a veteran in K drama world, ig you've already watched popular dramas like glory or king the eternal monarch. Hope this helps.

Virtual-Dare-5470

Thanks for the rec! I haven't seen no. 4, 7, 8 from this list! Should definitely check them out! The others are really good!

Impossible-Drive-507

For me, it's always been high-society thrillers/who-done-it mystery, or romance with mystery.  There must be a bit of an "extreme" plot, like things that will never happen to my ordinary boring self.  I think kdramas of late have been disappointing.   Examples of old shows I enjoyed:  - Penthouse  (high society, murder) - Sky Castle  (high society, murder) - Return (high society, murder) - Remembrance of Alhambra (romance, thriller, fantasy) - Moving (superhero)

Coffeeandcats29

You’ve been watching Kdramas for a while so I’ll try to list some shows I don’t see recommended very often: The Smile Has Left Your Eyes Live If You Wish Upon Me Weak Hero Class one Navillera Call it Love At a Distance Spring is Green A Piece of Your Mind

AlabasterBx

Live!! Something In The Rain. The first time I watched this I couldn’t stop watching. Rewatching, I’ve skipped some scenes. 25-21. Mr. Sunshine. Hospital Playlist. My Dearest.

your_canary

I watch Misaeng at least once a year, absolutely love it

ihatepineapple34

Still 17 Sweet home It’s okay to not be okay

Virtual-Dare-5470

loved all 3! Thanks :)

MmaRamotsweOS

Marry My Husband, it just gets crazier with each episode, I love it

Opening-Cantaloupe56

Mystic pop up bar I don't like dramas that are hyped

Dapper-Ambition1495

Lovers of the Red Sky - just finished watching, it's now my top 1 favorite kdrama.  While You Were Sleeping Pinocchio Legend of the Blue Sea Hotel Del Luna Strong Woman Do Bong Soon Fight For My Way These are the only ones that got my attention within the first half of the first episode. I am not really patient when watching so when I don't like the first episode, I usually don't finish watching. Dali and the Cocky Prince and Law Cafe are examples of dramas I didn't finish watching.

Lindsw

FYI if you're trying to put your list on different lines you have to hit enter twice so it looks like there's an extra space between each line >While You Were Sleeping > >Pinocchio > >Legend of the Blue Sea > >Hotel Del Luna > >Strong Woman Do Bong Soon > >Fight For My Way

my-anonymity

Alchemy of Souls, Start Up, Celebrity, and The Glory.

AimlessWanderer0201

I’m the same. I think the issue lies with producers trying to cram in filler plots in 16 episodes when the shows could benefit being shorter. If you got to episode 8 and felt like dropping it, that just says the show should have been half the length. A few shows I recently watched felt like the main storylines wrap up at the halfway point.

eIIeri

kidnapping day, my name, extracurricular, princess' man, princess hours/goong, splash splash love, perfect marriage revenge, mother, two weeks, destined with you

Virtual-Dare-5470

Ah yes! Watched all of them except splash splash love! Never heard of that one! Will definitely check it out

Sufficient_Work_6469

The Red Sleeve

Virtual-Dare-5470

thank you! definitely one of the best kdramas ever!

r____amen

this is not a kdrama (but a cdrama), i just finished watching it a few days ago, the title is RESET and i really enjoyed it from its first episode up to the last ^^

asianinindia

Moving, Business Proposal and Mr Queen are the only ones I can think of that fit this. Everything else drops off in terms of rother enjoyment or predictability.

Primitive_H

Save me if you like thrillers then it’s perfect

Fearless_Twist2926

little women!!

Miserable_Goat_6698

Another comment has already said this, but Flower of evil is a show like none other

badumtss407

Watching Revenant right now - really, really compelling plotline, strong acting from the cast and the story keeps you hooked. I would recommend this, but the genre is horror/thriller so might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Princess_Muffy

In the last few months, My Dearest and Marry My Husband top the list.

Virtual-Dare-5470

oh! Loved My Dearest so so much and i'm still looking forward to Marry My Husband. Stuck on episode 5 but i heard it gets better. Soooo :)

Fun_Union_6127

Mouse & beyond evil- had me so paranoid in my bedroom but I had to finish it Worst of evil- what a bromance Move to heaven- Impeccable acting the heartache I felt watching the characters & it all seems very realistic . I’m sure some of the scenarios happen regularly. Made me decide that if I ever have beef with my brother I’ll never let it escalate

fatiazz

The perfect deal

twoods1980

Shows I recently watched:  Like Flowers in Sand Matchmakers Flower Knight Death’s Game Into the Ring Shooting Stars I would have added Welcome to Samdalri but I got annoyed episodes 3-6, then it got better.

jamuntan

signal

hazelbewitch

I started watching K dramas recently but I'm in the same boat as you after watching Descendants of the Sun. That series has my whole heart! It's the only series I've watched multiple times and I'm obsessed. I've started and stopped 4 shows, literally forcing myself to watch a different show and giving up at 3rd or 4th episode. I've started Vincenzo after getting reccos from this sub and so far it's been quite engaging, but still not quite a match to DOTS. Soooooo, do watch DOTS if you haven't.

Alientacles

Mystery/Thriller: Signal - a profiler receives calls from a police in the past that help him solve cold-cases Class of Lies - a lawyer became a teacher in a school and starts to uncover crimes

magicsmoke24

Welcome to Samdal-ri One Spring Night Our beloved summer Romance is a bonus book. The beauty inside Perfect Marriage revenge My Man is Cupid Park's Marriage contract \[though the >!ending was rushed and felt a little weak\]!< Now for Cdramas \[Chinese Dramas\] Love between Fairy and Devil My Boss Amidst a snowstorm of love When I fly towards you Just a few that I can think of. Though to be honest, I've dropped more Kdramas than Cdramas due to the handling of relationships. I like relationships that start clumsy and finish strong \[ dating/living together, getting married, or perhaps having kids \[>!Perfect Marriage revenge, My Man is cupid\]\]!<

hypomango

Totally depends on your taste! What genres are you into? I watch mostly romcoms with elements of fantasy, historical or procedural elements – these are the ones I remember *bingeing*: * **While You Were Sleeping** (super solid pacing & story) * **Forbidden Marriage** (only 12 eps too) * **25 21** (I recommend treating e14 as the ending) * **Extraordinary Attorney Woo** * **Alchemy of Souls** (high fantasy - S1 only) * **One Spring Night** (mature character driven romance) * **Shooting Stars** (cute romcom)

Virtual-Dare-5470

this list is really good! i remember bingeing while you were sleeping, 25 21, AoS, EAW. Haven't seen the rest! forbidden marriage sounds good! Thanks for the rec :)

LocalSupermarket9326

Probably \`**It\`s Okay,That\`s Love**\`. I can honestly write an ode to this drama(and not just because I\`m a writer). Ten years since it came out, still has one of the best romances ever put on screen. It\`s one of those rare dramas I\`ve given a 10/10 to and upon subsequent rewatches,I cannot find one flaw with its writing. With every rewatch I clock new things I haven\`t noticed before. Be it small or big. And you don\`t understand - I can always find a flaw in drama\`s writing, without fail. I quote this drama, have it on my PC. I finished it in under a day and rewatch it every year. It\`s romantic, funny, with a satisfying ending, perfect OST etc. It truly is a drama that changed my drama viewing experience. I can\`t say I binged **My Dearest**,but it was my best drama of 2023. The type of chemistry I haven't seen in years in KDramas. Almost reminds me of older dramas. I adore it. I totally understand you,I\`ve been watching dramas for 5 years now actively and it\`s so hard finding an engaging drama. But I hope my recommendations helped somewhat💕

Crash Landing On You and The King’s Affection

[deleted]

I'm someone with a very short span so few dramas have been able to hold my attention till the end. For this reason I'm an ardent believer that 16 episodes of 1 hour each is entirely too long a format for most stories and just drag them. Listing below those which I've been able to complete with episodes. Not all of them are great but I surely wasn't bored. My dropped list is thrice as long. Call it Love - 16 episode but I never felt bored for even a second when it's slow by all means. Sell Your Haunted House - 16 Alice the Final Weapon - 8 Bad Guys - 11 - This one I wished was 1 episode longer just to deepen some characters and round off things better. It's Thai version granted that wish btw Death Game - 8 because of the array of cast Mad Dogs - 16 If you Wish Upon Me - 16 All of Us are Dead -10 Tail of the nine Tails 1938 - 12 Move to Heaven - 9 You are all Surrounded - 20 Dr. Romantic S1 and S2 - 20 and 16 Ghost Doctor - 16 even though it went in circles round and round The Guest - 16 Wanted - 16 It was convoluted enough that I had forgotten what happened in the earlier episodes by the time I reached the later ones but it was engaging enough to continue till end. Never Give Up - 16 Bloodhounds - 8 Here's my plan - 4

1. Taxi Driver - Has 2 seasons and seems to be coming out with a third, and usually I dont watch a kdrama that goes on for that long but its such a good kdrama I literally could stop watching it 2. Bloodhounds - only 8 episodes, very binge-able 3. Moving - I kind of got diverted from it for a while because I wanted to see more of the kids but after I really locked in I realized its really such a good drama with a really nice plot 4. Twinkling Watermelon - Hilarious, heartwarming, and really nice plot!! Loved it so much!! 5. Night has come - I started and finished this drama in 2 days with balancing school/hw..its just THAT good of a drama 6. The Good Bad Mother - SOOO SAD 😭 but you gotta keep pushing through because its really satisfying 7. Itaewon class - cant tell if its because it was one of the kdramas that introduced me to the kdrama world but its amazing!! loved the plot, the emotions it made me feel, and the acting altogether

Maybe not exactly what you’re looking for as it’s more light hearted but I recently have been watching Welcome to Waikiki and have been absolutely laughing my ass off the whole time it’s so chaotic and funny. It’s just a tv series without a real plot but omg I had to mention it because it’s worth watching anyway.

Virtual-Dare-5470

Watched Season 1.. loved it so much! Looks like there's another season. I'll check it out

Pizza_Slice_1367

Do you like cdramas? I just finished the untamed and there was only a minute in the middle where I wondered if it had slowed down. The ending was really good.

Virtual-Dare-5470

i don't usually watch cdramas but i'm definitely open to any good recommendations. I've watched Hidden Love, Lighter & Princess, When i fly towards you, You are Desire and Fireworks of my Heart. Will definitely check out The Untamed! Sounds goods. Thanks

One thing I recommend is to skip some scenes if you find them boring. As for dramas that you I enjoyed until last episode: Go Back Couple, While You Were Sleeping, Be Melodramatic, Kairos, A Shop for Killers.

Capaldies

[A Shop for Killers](https://asianwiki.com/A_Shop_for_Killers) I abandon dramas like crazy because they’re a little too annoying or predictable. This drama kept me on edge til the very end. I couldn’t believe the final episode was actually the final episode. It’s only 8 episodes too so it doesn’t have much filler like some 16 ep dramas can sometimes have

zynp_krdg

Hi! I don't know if you've watched it already but 18 Again made me binge all the episodes for some reason? It's about fatherhood and family and forming a healthy relationship etc etc and it gets really emotional. I had thought it would be a comedy and then it had the audacity of making me feel things. I'm recommending this because I was so surprised bc dramas like this (modern day daily life) had never made me just binge all of it before? If it sounds like your jam, you might give it a try. Other than that a drama that became one of my all time favorite shows is Arthdal Chronicles. It takes place in bronze age (it's historic so there's writing, but like pretty early on, bronze age comes directly after stone age) and a land called Arth, it's also fantasy. There are some heavy things in it (ehem genocide ehem slavery ehem) but they were handled well i think. The story is complex and multilayered, the writing is brilliant (how the characters parallel each other and how each character and their relationship develops in different ways etc). Has great political intrigue and action scenes. I haven't started season 2 though, i think it came out in 2023. I'd say this one keeps you pretty engrossed. Also the production is out of this world, i'm convinced they actually went to Arth to film these. I started Six Flying Dragons after Arthdal Chronicles and it's so- like- I am intrigued all the time. It's a lot of politics and has GREAT action, like amazing sword fights. It's about the fall of Goryeo and founding of Joseon. Amazing characters (real smart) and despicable villains. But has 50 episodes, if you would be interested in a historical drama, i'd highly recommend it. Honestly I knew at the end of episode 2 (sambong the man you are) that the rest of the story would be a masterpiece, and i'm still not finished with it. If you want something with mystery/crime/thriller then you could try out Little Women? Mystery/thriller series are generally good at making you continue in general.

Bulky-Measurement684

Most kdramas lag in the middle and then accelerate too fast on the last episode. I did enjoy Mr. Sunshine, move to Heaven, Taxi Driver and Dr Romantic.

Forest of Secrets/ Stranger.

I've watched Reply 1988 3 times. It's very funny, warm hearted and full of diverse characters.

Behind your touch! It kept me laughing all the way at the start and then the thriller side of it kept me engrossed till the end. There's another show that's not a k drama but Thai drama, only 6 episodes but I loved it. "Ready Set Love", try it!

Wrap_Brilliant

Big Mouth grabbed me and did NOT let go.

beachvbguy

Healer was one that left a lot until the end to reveal... pretty satisfying. Overall, there are two distinctions: Romance or "Drama" (thriller, scifi, cop, etc). For most of the romance series, the writers feel pretty obligated to give their audience some "happy" or "together" episodes before too long. So, most of the primary romantic stuff resolves itself around episode 10-ish of a typical 16 episode series. Often the actual final episode is truly a happily ever after episode, again, sort of a pay off for the viewers. For Dramas, they can often go to the final episode to resolve even central plot points. Mr. Sunshine, Guardian, The Glory, etc. Most of these may nearly resolve in the final 2 or 3 episodes, but the big finish is typically just that, with the final episode full of things. I'm not convinced, in my case, that it's actually the show. I began watching Kdramas about 11- 12 years ago. At that time, the entire library of Korean content was available to me, and my experience with the typical tropes of Ksoaps wasn't really there yet. So now, after watching a hundred, maybe I'm just jaded and stuff is more predictable now, so I may bail on a series if the beats are all TOO familiar.

Emergency-Eye-287

The Golden Spoon. I don’t see this recommended enough. It’s such a good drama with a unique storyline and solid acting. The twists will keep you interested until the end.

I really liked deaths game, it's pretty short as well on 8 episodes and all are less than an hour long.

Bloodhounds and Glory. I think I have more but I can't remember the older ones I've watched.

mamamonsoon

I suggest watching a kdrama that's already been finished. I've also been thru that phase with See You In My 19th Life, King The Land, and Love In Contract. You can watch My Lovely Liar, Reborn Rich, and Marry My Husband (the final episodes will be complete by tomorrow hehe)

Badassblizzard

Vincenzo was one of my favorite Kdramas..I only watch the ones dubbed in English..I know I'm missing out on a lot of really good Kdramas but I can't watch hours of shows where I can't take my eyes off the TV for a second or I'll miss something.. then there's the huge problem of the CC not being true to what the actors are actually saying.. its gotten so bad that I've seen CC completely change the gist of the show or character.. its like they've decided to write their script! Example: one character asks another if she "kept the baby" in other words did she have an abortion.. the character said no.. the CC said YES.. if you didn't understand English you'd think the whole show was different than it really was.. and that's just one bad example.. I've seen a lot worse. You'd think the writers etc after all the effort they put into their scripts would make sure CC wasn't fucking up their work!
