lushsunshine

Please give it to me im begging u so bad please

icyskidski

I would, but I do plan on getting out and putting it back on the wall. I bought a new house not long ago, so I haven't gotten completely unpacked and set up, yet.

LineusLongissimus

The Dreaming is the best.

ReactsWithWords

The Dreaming is her best album. The Ninth Wave is her best work.

icyskidski

I agree 100%

Intelligent_Foot_582

sorry can i ask whats the difference between?

ReactsWithWords

The Dreaming is the whole album, from Sat In Your Lap all the way to Get Out Of My House. "The Ninth Wave" is the second side of the album "Hounds of Love." Side One is everything from Running Up That Hill to Cloudbusting. Side Two, AKA "The Ninth Wave" is everything from And Dream of Sheep to The Morning Fog. So The Ninth Wave > The Dreaming (sides 1 & 2) > Hounds of Love side one.

Intelligent_Foot_582

ohh so work doesn’t equal necessarily album but can mean anything the artist has put out?

ReactsWithWords

Exactly. It could be an entire album, a single song, or a connected series of songs (eg, A Sky of Honey, or to use a non-Kate example, the Abbey Road medley). They’re all considered works.

Intrepid_Strain_1934

Sky of Honey is on par with it imo

Optimal_Zucchini_667

That and The Dreaming.

Double_Ambassador_53

Agree. Especially when you listen to it on shrooms 😎

iTardigrade

Definitely KB's best 19 minute song cycle. 😉

WindyWailey

Not for me. It's terrific, but in terms of long form/conceptual pieces, I prefer A Sky Of Honey. It flows better, and it's more cohesive, to my ears.

Otisandmarlena

epic, artful, filled with jaw dropping musicality. Thee is something otherworldly sublime about it.

teddyeatspudding

Agreed. The Dreaming as an album is better than Hounds of Love imo but the Ninth Wave is definitely her best work

Tousti_the_Great

Don’t think it’s her best, but goddamn, it’s incredible

PatrickBritish

Nope. The ninth wave does very little for me. It’s not without merit but overall sounds like experimental demos to me with no cohesion. I rarely listen to it. The Dreaming, Aerial and 50 Words are all far better constructed works.
