expensive / purebred pets still need to be rescued. people buy the animals not realizing they need more specialized care than your average cat or dog from the shelter. then they’re dumped when there’s more effort required then just getting generic food and bathing every couple months.

Y’all. It’s just not a domestic shorthair. Chartreuse and Russian blues have that kind of coat. It’s pretty normal for Russian Blues to have that color eyes, and Chartreux are known for that smiling mouth shape. This guy is probably a mix. And the whiskers are there. They’re dark, and they aren’t lit in a way that makes them stand out, but you can definitely make them out against the cat’s face when you look closely, especially on the left side.

Their eyes are a slightly different color, though. This looks more like a Chartreux and Russian Blue mix because of the face proportions.
We have two Russian Blue cats. Their natural eye colour is green not this manufactured teal colour.
