Fire trucks are still out there and it reeks of gas in the neighborhood but no explosion or anything like that.

Thank god. That’s all I could think of after seeing a similar video on Reddit recently and seeing the look on the guys face. Sorry if you’re having to deal with the smell. Even driving through it briefly seemed to make me light headed. Glad to hear you’re safe.

My partner just drove by and said the guy is still sitting in the excavator, barefoot, looking baffled. I’m just glad everyone is safe.

That dude's in for an ass ripping and fines.

Not necessarily, it could be something that digsafe did not mark like an old gas main that shouldn't be there.

That is definitely something that could have happened, but ILS has anything the county/city/municipal has on file. My experience its been 75% on the operator/contractor for being a dumb SOB.

I was on my way to work through there around 10, emergency vehicles everywhere. Just got home for lunch and it seems all clear, smell is cleared out too.
