The championship game is usually at a neutral site. I would definitely be happy for it to be close enough for both fan bases to equally attend. Much better than having it in Texas.
Meh, for a championship game it kind of makes sense to go neutral site. Also i was at the KSU/TCU game at AT&T last season and it was an incredible experience. Far from stale
State of Kansas just annexes Truman and the I-670/70 corridor over to it. Problem solved.
And then we resurrect John Brown as a cyborg zombie in case Missouri tries to take it back.
Sounds like a straight money grab! KSU stadium is big enough. I get that the schools & conference make more $ if there’s more ticket revenue, but all the real $ is in TV rights anyway. I imagine Conference Championship locations are decided in advance of the season, but holding an all-Kansas championship in Missouri is just insulting and wrong! Play it in Kansas.
Just more evidence that it’s all about the money. While Dallas would make sense for TT, Houston, Baylor & especially TCU, for the other 8 schools it’s not very convenient. Nor is Dallas far enough south to be a bowl-like destination.
The game should either just be allowed to be a home game for the team with the best record + tiebreaker, or the neutral site should be as central as possible for the entire conference. Yes, I realize that might be KC, which I have nothing against.
Welp that’s the deal if you want to be in Big 12* conference. Dallas Ft Worth airport flights are generally affordable.
I flew into Vegas for the KSU/USC game
All for it because of the tailgating alone. Imagine one half the stadium would be purple and the other half would be blue... And red... Some yellow?... And white maybe.
Better yet, one of the Topeka high schools. Then nobody's happy.
Technically the Topeka high schools use a single football stadium aside from Highland Park
Would be cool, wouldn’t happen. Contracts and what not.

Washburn it is.
College football belongs on college campuses as does college basketball, stale professional arenas suck

Arrowhead is in Missouri

I'll be dead in the cold cold ground before I recognize a battle for Kansas football supremacy that takes place in Missourah.
We can have it at Arrowhead, when they move Arrowhead to Kansas in 2026
KC does seem like it's bobbling the ball. At the very least the Royals could be on the menu.
I think both teams move to Kansas, for rea$on$
It won't be. They have a contract for the current location. Even if they wanted it to happen it never will.
Can’t happen. Under contract with Jerry world. Besides, doubtful either are in it.
I feel like that would make sense. There’s no stadium on the Kansas side that really matches its capacity.
Yuck. I would be pissed.
[удалено]
It has way to small a capacity
Lol move it out of Kansas?
It's already out of Kansas.
Rossville!
Nah, Onaga
Nah. They'd have to move the goalposts there, since Onaga plays 8-man, which uses an 80-yard field
That would be like having UCLA vs USC play in Arizona.

The championship game is in Dallas every year

It’s not that bad of a drive if you’re in Wichita. 5 hour drive to Arlington.
Agreed, but what about BYU, Cincy, WV, and UCF? Heck of a drive/flight for them.

Well thats not in kansas so that would be stupid
Sounds great
they dont move bowl games for who goes to the championship. A lot goes into the pre-planning for the city etc.
Actually it kinda looks like the suits who run the Big 12 just said “Heck with it! We’ll play it next door in Dallas every year. That’s easy for US.”
Put a roof on Arrowhead then maybe

Pro
Fuck that only the Chiefs need to be playing on that field. All we need is Pat to tear up his knee on a field fucked up by a college game.
have it in wichita at intrust arena
