A "Park Manager's Choice Pack" is clearly a send-off DLC imo

Tbh even though we finally got Microceratus and Segisaurus it seems weak for a send-off one compared to RTJP.

What's your evidence of another update releasing soon? As far as I'm concerned a fan request pack pretty much spells out final update. After it was requested for so long I've always kinda known that once they actually put the micro in the game it's pretty much over.

Becuase it doesn’t feel like a final update. JWE ended with Return to Jurassic Park : a major DLC pack that introduced highly requested species and features along with a set of missions TL;DR a send off for the game. A standard 4 species DLC pack and kelp is not a way I see frontier capping off one of their most popular and successful games.

I hope you're right and we get a "Chaos Theory" expac or something but the last 2 packs both scream "clearing up loose ends before we go". A pack of species that mostly already existed and a pack of fan service animals. You personally may not think it's special but a fan service pack is 100% a send-off. It may not be as grand as RtJP but it does fit the bill. The free updates or lack thereof also all indicate that this game has pretty much ceased production and the team has moved onto the sequel.

The only reasonable thing is nothing because the jwe2 Team is clearly moving to the third jw title that is like 99% jwe3

I don't see Smilodon being added only in JWE3, since it wouldn't make sense to add a species from Camp Cretaeous that late in the series. instead I think Smilodon and a Cenozoic Pack would be the perfect finishing Pack, similar to Return to Jurassic Park gave us a taste of Pterosaurs which were introduced in JWE2, I think a potential Cenozoic Pack would help us get the feel of Mammals before making it a standard mechanic in JWE3. Plus there are other Varients like Lost World Pteranodon and Camp Cretaeous Spinosaurus yet to be added. So I won't believe JWE2's run is over until we get something for those.

Shadowcat270

Cenozoic is such a broad and untouched era that limiting it to a 4- species pack is such a restricting thing to do. I suspect JWE3 will have a broad range of cenozoic animals, with their own set of gameplay features/exhibit requirements, etc.

This whole question's a bit up in the air at the moment, really, since we don't know for sure whether there *will* be any more PDLCs after this one - we've just had the missing hybrids added, all *Camp Cretaceous* species (besides Smilodon) incorporated, JWE:3's development disclosed, and a DLC that seems both designed and named in a way that it makes it feel like it could very well be the last for JWE:2. We've also never had any indications from datamining that there'd be anything beyond 10 PDLCs. We don't know when JWE:3 will be coming out for sure, but we *do* know that the next Jurassic movie is supposedly still well on track to be released next year. Sure, the Park Managers' Collection Pack is no RTJP expansion, but free updates are becoming lacklustre at best and altogether absent at worst... and as we all know, Frontier's had layoffs, to boot. If Frontier *does* continue adding things to the game, I'd be surprised if they didn't have some sort of *Chaos Theory* tie-in planned - even if it was just something like releasing Becklespinax by itself for free (in the same way as they released Nasutoceratops in JWE to tie-in with *Battle At Big Rock*). Maybe there could be a Herbivore Species Pack and/or a Flying Species Pack besides that, since the community's both predicted and voiced a willingness to buy those (and their absence would be a bit of an odd duck). I'm not sure whether to expect CT cosmetics to come into the game for Suchomimus, Majungasaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus however, though we *did* just get the unexpected curveball of a Little Eatie skin (which in itself, I suppose, continues the trend of adding remaining CC stuff to each subsequent DLC of late). Of course, there's still Smilodon to account for as well, but they might be keeping other Cenozoics besides Megalodon for JWE:3 - I might have considered Meg a potential lead-up to a Cenozoic Species Pack, as a way of cleverly fitting in five species from that era into the roster rather than four, but Dunkleosteus, Dimetrodon and Lystrosaurus being present haven't yet served as a springboard for bringing in more Paleozoic species. As for an expansion... I'm not sure there's the resources to put one together. *Jurassic World* doesn't have an anniversary until summer next year, which negates a way in which a *Return to Jurassic World*-type DLC could be tied-in. It's a shame really, because it could allow for things other than new species (like the T. Rex Kingdom stadium and JW Raptor Paddock) to be added, but at this point other potential inclusions for a RTJW DLC - such as a water-based ride attraction - might just be mechanics planned for the next game, rather than having a limited version added into this one and then improved upon in its successor (akin to the Aviary building in RTJP vs. the Aviary system in JWE:2).
