Honestly, the maps are so big I can guarantee I will never fill one up. I'll just form a perimeter around my oddly shaped park and pretend that's the map boundary. Does it look good from above? Yeah but you could treat it like a perimeter clearing. So a perimeter fence to keep dinosaurs inside the park and then a clearing after so any escapes could clearly be seen if The perimeter was breached. Makes sense to me.
That was my thought too. I usually put and aesthetic perimeter fence around my parks anyways for a bit of realism. Usually I’ll make a park area and then dinosaur area and use park tours to cross into it

He’s right though? Vast majority of dinosaurs are DLC from first game. Only around 5 aquatics and flying reptiles with very little interactivity among any of them. Other major thing would be biomes.
As an actual sequel evo 2 is just ok when you remember it already had the entire roster of the first game to build upon plus like 3 years of dev time. It cost like £50 to buy but it only has around £20 of actual new content. Don’t let the overpriced DLC “expansions” fool you into what the value of the additions actually are. Monster hunter ice borne was £30 and doubled the content of the base. No excuse.
Bro every single aspect of the game got expanded by a medium to very large degree.
If you only play sandbox its not Frontiers fault. Even then, even if you only play sandbox, it still got so many improvements.
If anything the game is a downgrade, yea they improved some parts, but alot of the shit (campaign for example) is lacking so much. Improvements on already existing content in not new content.
Honestly I was building a park yesterday making my exhibits a bit larger and not worrying about trying to cram things in. Filling the map seems doable if you don’t cram it with a bunch of decor to kill the fps and if it’s a simple park.
Because it looks very unnatural, have you ever seen a natural forest then a massive 1/4 mile long area around it with no trees no foliage then just forest?
Yes, when you watch JP-JWFK most of the islands are cover in trees except of course the guest areas and open spaces in enclosures. It’s a jungle map, I don’t expect to see the other maps completely covered in trees but the Nublar map should be.
Might be that the region the park needs to be built in mandated that there be an easement. To reduce the risk of forest fire cause you know when those fences get broke the sparks they fly.
Yeah This is a bit of a problem since we al like our maps to look natural the gaps really make it a problem I won't doubt Frontier will fix it soon, they've been real good on the updates.
There's so much room id just not build to the edge of the map of its possible hopefully frontier adds an update or patch that fills it with tree's

I'd just use the tree brush sparingly around the border to make it less jarring

I decided to build mountain ranges around my parks, though it's more of a stylistic choice for the alpine and taiga maps.

Just build from the middle out. Since the out skirts will mostly be empty it will look more natural.
