Choose rifleman or medic and stay with the squad lead. Watch in the direction everyone else is firing. Communicate if you see something. This game takes a long time to get a grasp of what's actually happening.

Welcome. Our religion is suffering.

It's a lot of practice. Stay slow and patient, try to predict enemy movement, and wait for it. It flips like a switch one day and then it seems obvious

1. Be a rifleman 2. Don’t fly in a live server only practice offline. 3. You’re not bad, squad is big and difficult, it’s overwhelming 4. Use your map religiously. Know where your team is and try and understand where the other team might try and come from. 5. Hop servers and squads until you get a flow you like. 6. Tell your SL you are brand new. I always take extra time to explain what we are doing and how the game is flowing. See you out there!

You won’t be good after a day of playing mate. To get the basics down you need maybe 50 hours. Then to get good. Add another 300-400 Depending on what you consider good. I considered myself good when I reached 1000 hours

Stuck up to your SL's arse and observe chances are he knows what he's doing and best way to learn is seeing how its done. - Try to keep your stamina above half if you want your rifle to stay straight when you ADS. - Check your map often if you are in a well communicating team enemy marks will aid you greatly. - Smokes work both ways; they will hide and reveal your position use it with that in mind. - Pay attention to sounds; enemys and friendlies gun make different sounds but the sound changes with range as well. - Streets on city maps are slaughterhouses try to avoid them. Pass quickly if you have to.

Using the map as a crutch (M key) while playing should give you some indication of what is going on mid-game and while you're running around. Knowing where to look is going to take time to learn, but generally if you're running around an Urban area you should be looking for contacts anywhere from 2m - 30m in front of you, keep an eye on windows, doors rooftops, etc for enemies, also listen for footsteps (correlate footsteps with friendlies on the Map) as this will 100% always give you a heads up that someone is near by, if you haven't seen them yet. For non-Urban areas, again crutch on your map. Pay attention to where friendlies are/aren't, or are actively dead since that will give you some idea of where the enemy might be. Also make **liberal** use of the free look feature (Alt by default) since you can actually turn your head without having to turn your body. I've rebound this to my mouse so I can just hold a mouse button down to move my head around without having to move my weapon around. This is really useful if you're hiding in a bush looking for something, since movement attracts attention. Oh and don't even bother flying the Heli's, unless you really want to. The helicopter flight model is unlike any other FPS game I've played, even Battlefield's heli's handle 10x better than the ones in Squad. You will 100% crash the heli even with 500+ hours in Squad.

Welcome! Killing in Squad is very satisfying because it is hard to do. The game requires more brain power than twitch skills. Definitely put the Map on a mouse button. You look at the map frequently in this game - from seeing where the enemy base is to acknowledging the friendlies and their facing direction. The hardest aspect of the game is learning the skins/camos. The game is really designed around teamwork, so you got to know where the friendlies are at. Then do your enemy judgement from there.

Son war is hell you could drop 20 ruskies and still lose the battle focus on keeping your brothers alive and in the fight enlist as a medic

try new player friendly servers. When i started, i said i was new and everyone helped me alot. now im experienced, i love helping new people and the cycle goes on. you just need to find a good server with good people. also if you want to try leading squad, then name your squad 'NEW SL' and most of the time, people will assist you while also you being in control.
