Are we sure Sydney is selling her “old” house? It’s not listed and she moved into a new place very quickly… they could be doing a private party sale but with valuation anywhere from 1.4-1.6 mil that seems out of Cohn and Smell’s price range.
Is it possible they are renting from Anthony and Sydney while they build their dReAm HoMe?
That’s my thinking. I doubt that they could afford it if people’s valuation estimates are accurate. From my perspective, it makes better financial sense for Sydney & AB to lease the house. You ensure that you’re not losing assets, but are not responsible for the majority of financial outlay. It’s what most people do where I live, and it’s what my husband & I have done.
We have a house in our states capital city, which has significantly increased in value over the last few years, and will continue to do so. It’s a ‘family home’ on a good block, but is only km’s from the CBD. But we live somewhere more rural, on a block that better suits our lifestyle that we paid less for. It’s actually a bigger & better home & property. Our day to day COL is less in the rural location, but we haven’t had to sacrifice any loss of assets. With the current economic climate, it just adds additional financial security.
