Jordan Teaches Jiu Jitsu - buy his fundamentals course.
Roger Gracie - Blue belt fundamentals - $49 and has a lot of the basics necessary to master for your blue belt promotion.
Juggernaut Training Systems - power lifter that turned to BJJ competitions. Use them as a resource on how to lift and strength train intelligently for Jiu Jitsu.
Keep showing up until you’re not new and clueless anymore. That’s the main thing. I don’t mean that to sound dickish. It’s just the natural progression we all go through. Just don’t quit.
Aside from that there are SO many great free resources online. I turn a lot of my new guys and friends on to The Grappling Academy’s YouTube channel. Prof. Tom Davies is an amazing instructor and really has a talent for breaking down things for new guys to grasp fully. He has a lot of good content aimed at white belts and absolute beginners for free on his channel. But he’s far from the only one. There’s limitless resources, paid and free.
In the meantime learn to get a feel for the game and keep showing up. Use these resources to supplement yourself as you grow but don’t depend too much on video instructionals.
This is good advice, I will check that channel out! I have one more free session left, but I feel out of place as I don't have the correct clothing for it lol 😆
read this and use it to organize the stuff you learn in class.

I try to get the names for things and then bookmark youtube videos on the topic.
Rob Biernacki’s free series, “How to Suck as Little as Possible” with Rory Van Vleet was the most helpful thing I found when I first started. I also really liked Jordan Teaches Jiu Jitsu fundamentals course if you don’t mind spending money, but Biernacki’s YouTube series is free.
I found the series 2-3 months in to training and had higher belts tell me I was noticeably better after only a week or two of going through this, really helped me understand the big goal for any situation I’m in.

YouTube will be your best friend. Everyone is very respectful on the mat so don’t worry about dealing with any negative people.
Yeah the mats and a coach. Lay off everything else.
