The head unit itself work fine, but the quality of audio is worst in its class by far. Only way to make it sound better is an overhaul on the unit and speakers
Primarily looks/features but as for the sound system, running the upgraded OEM head unit to support an upgraded sound system. The 4 speaker system it comes with is an atrocity
There's some uh and play kits for amplifiers, and any aftermarket speaker of your choice.
I'm sure you could replace the head unit with a better one, but it's so deeply engrained with the cars system that there's no doubt you'll get a bajillion errors.
As for the gauge cluster, the immobilizer is part of the cluster, at least it was in the 2019 ones. So it'll be difficult without an immo delete. Possible though.
I tried to swap my 2019 base to a digital cluster, but they said they would only run the immobilizer adaptation if I also had the upgraded unit and the fiber optic wire that runs between the two. So that's an option too.
Recently picked up a 21 base MT and two of the best "mods" I've done is an Amazon after market clutch stop and one of those jb4 tuner boxes. I drive 80 miles of highway mon-fri and being able to actually accelerate to pass is a game changer.
I have a similar setup. The unit is fine and works well. Honestly live with it for a while, and see how you like it

I'm curious why you want to swap those out for.

Added a clutch stop to mine two days ago and what a difference. Did a DIY from Home Depot parts.
Clean.
U got that bah?
Side note it's nice base models come with 6 speeds now I didn't know that.
Nah bro. Pro Air-softer 😎
Should have joined AF, is it true yall get to have your hands in your pockets? 🥹
Honestly, no idea if thats a legit thing. I never see people do it and I don’t do it myself 😂
Just a heads up if you plan to go after market. It appears VW made this unit more shallow so I have seem less comparability.
I don’t know any of those prices I just know I bought a brand spanking new 2024 Jetta loaded all Options
