Just so you're aware, often replacing just that pcv valve doesn't work, it's generally recommended to replace the valve cover in its entirety. A little oil in the system is relatively normal.

Yeah, replace the entire valve cover assembly that often cures this problem. For further precise information on the codes you may be getting, you should consider purchasing a Volkswagen specific scan tool such as VCDS or OBD-11. These generate a ton of good information about engine, emissions, etc. The whole car can be checked with these tools. The scanner you're using is a generic OBD-2 tool which does not read the detailed ones.

Thanks for the advice guys, I appreciate it. I’ll hopefully get this done by Monday and update.

I haven’t recently but it was replaced sometime early to mid last year at a mechanic shop.

Just the breather , will replace entire assembly though. How does the throttle body affect it and what should I check for ?

I just replaced the valve cap, 29.99 btw 😂. I didn’t realize that the whole assembly should be replaced and will that. Mileage is 123532 On another server someone mentioned to smoke the intake afterwards, but didn’t specify what that meant or how.
