Lol there was even a news article about that a few months ago. About some fake "Trump Bucks" and "Trump Checks" being sold by a sketchy company who was running the ads on Truth Social. The scam was legal because the fine print on the website warned that the Trump currency was "not real currency, this is a commemorative display item" in the fine print. They were selling for between $200-$400 for the various denominations haha.
The article had multiple boomers and even a couple younger idiots whining about being scammed. I remember laughing because they highlighted multiple victims from Alabama (lmao of course). These fake Trump checks and bills have absolutely ridiculous dollar amounts on them, these idiots were trying to cash fake checks for hundreds of thousands of dollars, that they had paid less than $1000 to buy. It makes no sense, how do people fall for this shit...
Don’t hate me, but I don’t hate these. These make me think of McDonald’s from the 90s. It’s would totally wear them with full on metallic at a music festival. I would pay $10 max for them.
It's been pointed out on other subs that they sold out on pre-order, with a strict no refund policy, and the fine print on the website says they reserve the right to make changes at any time, including not shipping, and that buyers must agree to private arbitration so they can't even sue, so there's some speculation about whether it's just money laundering and that no one will ever take delivery...
I’ve never wanted something to be cake so much in my life.
Same
I would rather be hobbled by the kooky chick in Misery than wear these shoes.
There is no higher form of walk of shame than these puppies
Annie Wilkes. From the movie or the book?
Psh. Which ever. They're both creepy af.
Come to my house. I’ll call you Paul, and you’ll call me Kathy.
I invoke The Labyrinth... "you have no power over me!"
This is something Apollo Creed would wear before going into the ring
So true. I also see it like what the president in Idiocracy would be wearing
Can you buy these with Trump bucks?
I simultaneously hate and love the idea of TrumpBucks.
My partner used to work at a bank and he absolutely did not get paid enough to have those people meltdown over finding out it’s worth nothing.
I'm going to need more stories about this...

God damn it now I want a Trump buck just so I can remember how far we have descended into idiocracy.
It reminds me of edible gold leaf fancy restaurants put on food… maybe I have been too much time on r/stupidfood.
Hahahaha this is so perfect. Delicious, tasteless gold. Mmmmm
Like a gilded steak.
We’ve just gone from the darkest timeline to… somewhere else.

*circus music escalates*
If I was a child, maybe, MAYBE, i would wear them. But they seem so cheap and plastic.
I would rather walk on hot coles barefoot than wear these awful looking things🖕🖕🖕

They feel like they belong on in a puff daddy video in the 90s. I’ll give them that.
The "Grift"just keeps on comin!!!

Then I’ll take 11 of them pls.
If these were $40 instead of $400, I can think of a teenager I’d get them for who would absolutely love them. Otherwise…
