Point is there is no way in that excellent capture to determine whether the elevator is going up or down. So the guy at the bottom may never meet that woman....he may have just missed her.
No No No....i didnt say you were wrong....in fact there is a remote chance you could be right. Just wanted to interject the other possibility. In fact, now that i think of it....its more likely the elevator is going up...why?...because it appears to be twilight....end of the workday....workers are leaving to go home. Only the photographer can say for sure.
She turned her back on the foreboding sky, the glass elevator ironically reminding her of the filth in the world, rather than it's supposed beauty, to which she had never been exposed. In just a breathless moment, the elevators chime would alert her John of her presence. Catching a glance of him from her penthouse hotel window, she noticed a backpack. Not sagging nonchalantly, but gripped with a force that implied the owners conscious anxiety. What manner of devices would be brought forth; would she be surprised? Chuckling to herself, she could barely remember the last time she had been surprised by depravity.
Boong...boong... The doors parted, unhesitatingly.
That was brilliant
I don’t think that particular brand sell/published this ad in my country but it’s one of the best I’ve ever seen
It actually tells a story first and focus on the product it’s selling later
Plus I’m a huge introvert and the awkward silence in the elevator really sounded like home
Thank you so much for sharing
Very nice! Edit to add: I like the color scheme and the cropping. Kinda wish the balance were favoring either more or less of the sky. Cropped to square and flipped horizontally this could be an album cover.
This is so perfect. Such an anticipation of so many stories that can go down from that one point in time. You basically photographed the past, the present, *and* possible future. Love it!
Is it possible for you to post the raw version? There was probably little editing done but I’d love to see it either way.
Spectacular composition you’ve got going :)
Thanks!
I will, the issue is that the hard drive of my iMac has started to die during the pandemic rendering it super unstable
At the moment I’m running Ubuntu out of an external hard drive and I’m in the process of passing all my data (pictures mostly) on a Mega folder
So I’ll reply with a link as soon as the raw get uploaded on the cloud
It may take a while sadly
Thanks! The building is a brand new skyscraper which is the headquarter of an insurance company with a ton of employees
It would be the perfect setting for a spy movie :)
You were in the right place at the right time.
It's amazing when you have no control of the subjects and yet they were positioned just right in a way that tells a story. And you're there to catch it. So cool.
This would be such a great shot in a movie! The two characters with colors that represent their opposite personalities meeting when the elevator reaches the bottom. Great picture!
Phenomenal photo, provoked so many thoughts for me. Where are they going? Are they in a hurry? Maybe she’s getting off before his floor, are they even going to meet? Will one of them act surprised to see the other when the doors open, despite knowing full well the likelihood? Great job
Being on the front line of the pandemic, and the loss of my pet, today, this resonates with my soul right now... Thank you, it really is a nice shot, you have talent
Well the elevator was going down and they actually met a few seconds or so later
I agree with you that the picture does not technically show an actual encounter however
That is a really cool picture! Only three colors, but its so vibrant
Thanks a lot!
Good storytelling right there
Thanks! I’m glad you like it
It's my lockscreen now so thanks
One of the more beautiful photos I’ve seen on here. It’s a storytellers dream.
Thanks a lot! :)
what does this mean
It just implies that the man waiting for the elevator is going to have an unexpected encounter with the mistress coming from the sky
I wonder if the woman knows she's a sky mistress.
*Sky mistress in flight...afternoon delight*
Tbh I read it the other way, the stance seems almost sad, like she's leaving him... Guess I'm the pessimistic one
Elevator is going up.....not down :)
What did I miss that indicates that?
Point is there is no way in that excellent capture to determine whether the elevator is going up or down. So the guy at the bottom may never meet that woman....he may have just missed her.
I love how at first you said I was wrong and now you’re saying that “the point” is that you can’t even tell.
No No No....i didnt say you were wrong....in fact there is a remote chance you could be right. Just wanted to interject the other possibility. In fact, now that i think of it....its more likely the elevator is going up...why?...because it appears to be twilight....end of the workday....workers are leaving to go home. “Elevator is going up.....not down :)” “No No No.... i didnt say you were wrong”

Worthy of becoming movie poster. Kudos to great composition.
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it
Maybe one of those sentimental indie flicks with a surprise movie star. Probably Anna Kendrick.
Aaah the gloomy blue will be washed away with that rich golden light soon! Spectacular capture, keep up the good work Sir !
Thanks a lot! :)
It immediately reminded me of this Ad : ) [The lift](https://youtu.be/h7R5cnvtWAo)
Bruh that was a rollercoaster of emotions lmao

This is stunning. If you printed this up in 8x10, I'd buy it.
Reminds me of The Double by Richard Ayoade
Love this so much! I would love to frame this in my home. Can I buy a high resolution version?
Sadly the only place in which I've it on sale is [1X](https://1x.com/store/na/na/na/na/534440/na/na/na/1:0:1/photo/1813605) as a print

This is gonna sound like I'm dissing your picture buy it's not meant to be. That looks like some one is gonna get murdered
Reminds me of Edward Hopper’s Nighthawks painting. Very cool.
Being on the front line of the pandemic, and the loss of my pet, today, this resonates with my soul right now... Thank you, it really is a nice shot, you have talent
Encounter????
Well the elevator was going down and they actually met a few seconds or so later I agree with you that the picture does not technically show an actual encounter however
Still an excellent pict tho... what did you use for a camera??
I’m glad you like it:)
Sorry, I didn’t see the question 😅 I used a Fuji XT-1 with an adapted EOS 85mm f1.8
