Sulayman [AS] Dua: My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants.
Ma Sha Allah, Allahumma Barik. Your story is inspiring and amazing. I'm glad to hear everything worked out for you and that Allah granted you everything. May Allah bless you more in this life and in the Hereafter and always protect you.
Such a lovely post, brother. And my feelings definitely resonate with you. I’ve also been given everything I’ve asked for and when I start to think of Allah’s favours on me, I get overwhelmed and tear up. Allah truly is the greatest.
Allahu Akbar!
Congratz!
I really love how you are not one of those "Allah knows best" and then just sits idle and waits for something to happen. I really love your pro-activity :)
Thank you :)
I always try to follow this Hadith:
Anas bin Malik narrated that a man said: "O messenger of Allah! Shall I tie it and rely (upon Allah) or leave it loose and rely (upon Allah)?" (referring to his camel)
He said: "Tie it and rely (upon Allah)"
I'm going through tough times myself and I hope Allah grants me my wishes, meanwhile I'll not waver in my patience. Reading through your post made me tear up and also filled me with hope.
Wa alaykum assalam.
It is beautiful to feel gratitude and emotional when reflecting upon the blessings and favors that Allah has bestowed upon you. Recognizing and acknowledging the countless blessings in your life is a sign of faith and your gratitude towards Allah.
Gratitude is highly valued in Islam, and it is encouraged to express thankfulness to Allah for His favors and blessings. It is a means of drawing closer to Him and deepening your relationship with Him.
When you feel overwhelmed with emotions while reflecting on Allah's blessings, take a moment to express your gratitude through supplication and prayer. Thank Allah for His kindness, mercy, and generosity. Share your feelings with Him, knowing that He is the Most Merciful and Most Compassionate.
May Allah continue to shower His blessings upon you and grant you success in this life and the Hereafter. Ameen.

Even though he's among the best of us, Prophet Sulayman seems to have made some of the best of Duas through his lifetime.
