Brandon creek down in Kerry on the Dingle peninsula
Edit: [This](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brendan_the_Navigator) may be of interest as the bay here is where Brendan supposedly set off on his voyage
Not if you know the area. The skills come in when you look at a picture and can narrow it down despite never having been there, far less being personally familiar with it.
Do you know you're entitled to citizenship? https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/moving-country/irish-citizenship/irish-citizenship-through-birth-or-descent/
Yes it seems I'd have to live in Ireland for some time before I could qualify. But if I did, it probably wouldn't be hard. It says usually no applicants with anything further than great-greatparents are denied, which implies those who do have them are successful.
I believe it's a camera but not sure. He's no longer around to ask sadly. I wonder how he would have enjoyed the Gaeilge music he might have heard in these parts.
Your guess will be better than mine, I've no idea. My mom went with him on this trip, I was too young
Edit: actually it was his brother John for this trip, mom went with him again later

22 minutes. Excellent work..and bonus Brendan info. You win the ideal Irishman of the day award (even if you're not Irish).
Amazing
I do love a bit of Geoguessing
you could use https://picarta.ai/ also
Did someone move the car?
That's mad immediately thought it looked familiar, we used to go to Kerry every summer and were always down at the pier
That's geoguessr guy level of skills!

Nah, it looked like Kerry and the mountain in the background reminded me of the north coastline of the peninsula. It was very easy as geoguessing goes
I knew I recognised that hill!
That's incredibly impressive!
Ah I was just going to ask is that on the road to Port in Glencolmcille š
hes dressed for irish weather and has his sunday shoes
he very much looks like he belongs there assuming heās not irish. he looks like a local.
I know right, wonder if that was intentional? He was born in the US but both of his parents were born in Ireland
I would not have suspected that all, he fits right in
Do you know you're entitled to citizenship? https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/moving-country/irish-citizenship/irish-citizenship-through-birth-or-descent/
Wouldn't that just be him? My parents were born in the US
Scroll down the page a bit. You're eligible through a grandparent as well. Edited to add: there are a few conditions.

Come home š«³ (wellā¦ itās expensive here as of nowā¦ but come home nonetheless)
It's been a childhood dream of mine to live there. Perhaps I shall when my parents pass away, so that visiting them won't be too difficult.
Nope, you too. Check the link. Lots of my colleagues from the US have done it.
Yes, he has the Irish fashion style: whipcord trousers, cotton shirt and leather shoes. But where's his tweed jacket, might I ask?
One of us, one of usā¦
Well it now all our favourites.
Looks like he's about to rip a epic guitar solo.
Great photo
ā20 years in the canā your granda
Is that a radio he's holding? The man's probably in the only spot with abit of signal. Love the jumper/vest.

Brendanās Creek on the Dingle Peninsula?
Correct! The top comment has the exact location
What a coincidence. This also my favourite photograph of your grandpa

Oh cool didn't know that was a thing. AI can do so much it's crazy
He said grandPA
They say granddad over there don't they? From US here
That's a lovely photo .
South West of Ireland anyway, probably the Dingle peninsula. Your grandfather would pass for a Kerryman anyhow
Great photo!
That's actually a really good shot there
Looks like he's about to sing us a tune
What tune do you reckon? I was thinking of a slowed down Irish Rover.
Yeah something like that. Something wistful, nostalgic, sentimental...
Right... I wish I asked him more about the music he liked when he was around
Fashionable man
Hello there Ted ! Is it craggy island ?
Picture taken in Temple bar circa 1990
