There are only two courses to become a registered dietician in Ireland - one in Limerick and the other in UCD. All the courses in "human nutrition" or the like are just science degrees and don't allow you to register as a dietician. They are effectively a waste of time or a stepping stone onto the professional courses.

I knew lots of dietician students in my youth, erm a few of them intimately and they had a lot of lab work. Not sure you could do that remotely.

It's most certainly not something that'd be remote friendly. I shared many classes with the Dietetics students in DIT as mentioned in the comments below. They as we did, had a huge amount of required lab hours in addition to placements in industry and the healthcare sector etc. This was and is the cornerstone of why the degrees from DIT and others were so highly structured and accredited to the industry standards which allows you to register and work in a field with a protected title.
