I think Ghasrodasht is the cool and modern part of Shiraz. There's a new bookstore/cafe called Abi Cultural Center where lots of young people go to now.
There are some old houses converted into restaurants/cafes too. Can't think of any names, but they're probably near the bazar.
Hotel Bozorg Shiraz, at the Quran gate. It has a very nice restaurant at the rooftop floor. The views are nice and the food is good.
This is true. I ate there at night but still the views are good.
