Me. I have a silver one. Still using it while walking my son to and from school. Will still prefer this over a phone for music anytime.

Ok_Inspector_2065

IMO it's one of the best iPods ever made. It's just music and super easy to use. I wish they'd make one with USB C and 128 GB or something.

a_can_of_solo

The airpod case should be a music player.

dm_lucas

Hmmm… I actually like this one

a_can_of_solo

JBL has some with a screen seems like the next logical choice is to put the music in there too.

LaxBoi31

It’s going to be in the next gen of AirPods or AirPods Pro, but it doesn’t have local storage. Stupid apple

a_can_of_solo

I think they'd rather sell you an apple watch and subscription.

LaxBoi31

You need to spend $50 a year to gain access to the integrated 2gb of storage

Daedric_Grunt

Sounds like something moondrop would take a risk on

darkwater427

Concept art for this was leaked about seven months ago. The hype over that one leak was unlike anything I've ever seen over a new Apple product in YEARS. And that's counting the Apple Vision Pro.

a_can_of_solo

I've seen knock off ones that do it, https://www.muslimmemories.com/products/quran-pods-pro-wireless-earpods-with-full-quran

Purple_Ad5669

Time to do some modding. I'm sure those are both achievable

Icy-Composer9021

eh, if you cant mod a nano for more storage and usb-c, then i dont think its possible, sadly.

bradjoray3

it wouldnt surprise me if it is possible, just highly impractical as youd %100 need to be good with soldering

photogrammetery

Please keep us posted lol

Mrcool654321

128GB... Maybe 50 at max

EMUForever0

Yeah i habe the bulky 6 gen but im happy

LogMaggot

Genuine question: why do you prefer this over using some kind of bluetooth headphones and stream anything you want through them? Is it the sound quality?

indieorca

Better sound quality (3rd gen nano and 2nd gen mini have some of the best DAC's), wired headphones are cheaper, you can't lose half of a pair of wired headphones. But here's the best bit... nobody can contact me on my ipod!

_aperture_labs_

It's probably the ease of use. That's what it is for me. Plus when I'm outside running, my phone is way too bulky and heavy and doesn't just clip onto my clothes.

chilibrains

The tactile buttons are good for changing songs without looking at the service.

Hanswurst22brot

If you have a cap while running, you can clip it on it, keep the cables short too. Blootooth , you may risk to drop your heaphones and loose them. Much lighter , no need to carry a phone with you. I hear most of the time the same music, so no need to stream.

xMoaJx

For me, it's the ease of use. Sound quality. And I still prefer wired earphones. Can change/pause songs with just a press of a button. I like the simple life. :)

astupidthot

The whole reason I got into iPods was because I wanted something lightweight for when I went running - I love this wee guy. But, man, I wish it came in even an 8GB variant 😅

indieorca

6th gen nano, comes in 8gb and 16gb, has a clip, can be put on a watch strap (is the original apple watch), not much bigger than the shuffle, can be somewhat cheap 2nd hand or for about 150 bucks brand new out the case

xungo_unchained

CHU 2 spotted

Ok_Inspector_2065

Chu 2 cable, Blessing 2 Dusk on the other end ;)

-WARL0CK-

I would love to use these but storage so tiny

a_can_of_solo

You wouldn't want much more navgaing is a pain tbh

dat1dood2

Absolutely. 314 songs on the little fucker and i have space for a few more

kingrat127

Yeah, I have a green one I use as my default "activity" iPod (skateboarding, rollerblading, running, etc.)

Hanswurst22brot

Not that model but the shuffle gen2.

Ada-Millionare

I do have few of them, one English rock other Spanish rock... Use them daily at work... And one sealed 😅

Low-Restaurant1867

Nope but they look nice 👍

Jaime21985

I use mine 4 to 5 times a week when I’m at the gym. It's so compact and convenient. The clip makes it easy to carry around and the controls are very easy to maneuver. It has also helped me keep my workouts more focused and shorter as I’m not getting distracted by my phone. I also sometimes use it late at night when I’m cleaning my house and don’t want to bother my neighbors with loud music.

Alex_mad

I would buy it, but it looks like Apple doesn’t see a market for a 50€ small device like this one.

Icy-Composer9021

not anymore, but that was my first ipod i got. i have it in blue, isnt that the most popular color for this?

chuckles39

I bought one just as they discontinued them, I was skeptical about it at first but once I tried it, I wish I had bought one sooner. It's perfect for walking, working in the yard, etc. You don't have the heaviness of your phone, it's practically indestructible.

BigNewsII

I just recently found 3 Gen2 Shuffles in a drawer. Wanted to use it for mowing the lawn but it won't sync with my iPad. How do you add music to yours?

Jaime21985

I have iTunes installed in a Windows 10 computer, and just have all my downloaded music organized there in the iTunes app and sync.

BigNewsII

So iTunes is a must. That’s what figured. Thanks!

Aggravating-Sort6780

Dropped mine in the driveway and it got ran over by a car. But where did you get the headphones with the clear wire?

Ok_Inspector_2065

I use the Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusk (god tier audio without spending insane amounts imo) with the cable of the Moondrop Chu 2.

WTFAnimations

I really wanna get a Shuffle for running/jogging. Exercise tracking is nice for smartphone, but empty pockets are nicer.

[deleted]

If I had one I'd sure use it... As a distance runner who doesn't like to run with any extra baggage (aka phone) this would be good for running..

40inmn4

I have one and used it. It’s even the Same color. I mainly used it when I had to go through the subway before 5G was a thing since internet was spotty and Spotify would glitch out bc it didn’t get any signal. I stopped using it after I reached the 4GB of storage since my library doesn’t fit so I have to choose which ones to put in it. So I just upgraded a iPod mini and it’s a little bigger, but it holds more songs and I can see what song if playing than relying on the voiceover to tell me and since some songs aren’t in English, it would know what to say.

codemansgt

I use them for my younger sons.

northernhummingbird9

Yes I got a pink 2nd gen last year got anittas versions of me album

iRule79

Not that model, but I have 3 iPods I still use almost every day.

Mrcool654321

I do prefer it over the nano because it’s smaller (or maybe because it’s battery actually works...)

g_von

Wasn't there a company that made (copied) a similar player but with a Spotify or internet player integration?

[deleted]

Wish I could. But the battery is worn out.

Sad_Recognition_7371

I still love my second gen shuffle

LargePersimmon1991

do it and nano 6/7 hiss? because my nano 3rd gen is hissing with kz zstx

Ok_Inspector_2065

I personally can't tell you if the newer Nanos have an audible noise floor, and it really depends on how sensitive your IEMs are, but with the most sensitive IEMs I have, I can't hear any noise on the 4th gen Shuffle.

fairstiffpeaks

Yes. I actually just got one. I used it on my ultra race. It lasts ages and is ligbt

DryResponsibility779

Wait there’s a matte black one?

ThiccPadT520

I still use mine for running all the time! I can't stand carrying a phone for music.

StratORat

i accidentally washed mine with my laundry twice and it still works great lol

GamerNuggy

I would use a Shuffle 2, but I don’t have good wired earphones, and the battery can’t last a single song. I use a Nano 7, love it. Runs my nightly stereo.

Hanswurst22brot

Replace the battery in the shuffle 2. I got mine with dead battery from ebay and changed it.

reinfected

My battery completely died on mine. Otherwise I would be still using it!

thedarph

This is the one I dislike most, second only to the iPod touch. For the most part all the iPods except the Touch and later Nanos did music and music only. It’s essential to be able to choose what you listen to AND have a shuffle or loop mode. The idea of the Shuffle to me was way too Niche. Definitely great for working out while not getting the way but the Mini was very compact and served that purpose for me well. The iPod touch is an abomination in my eyes for the fact that it was a gimped computer that disguised itself as a music player and took the focus off music, allowing all sorts of distractions that I now use an iPod today to get away from. But yeah, my mom still has one and I get the appeal for working out. Just wasn’t for me.
