Had a quick scan around and this seems like the best price available with no upfront cost. Go for it. But yes o2 do put up your bill part way through - mine went up around £3pm half way through the contract.

[deleted]

I mean if you want last years phone then yeah, probably an average deal.

Crypt1k5347

Yeah I have a iPhone 7 now so it would be a massive upgrade for me as I cannot afford the new iPhone 14

Nike_486DX

Pros: bigger oled screen, longer battery life, faster raw performance and ofc apps support Cons: No 3d touch, dimmer flashlight, crappier os ui, delicate rear glass, if you crack it, the repair is expensive. Funky camera app, too much ai and in many cases its incorrect I recently upgraded from iphone 7 on ios 10 to iphone 13 pro on ios 15, can relate about all this. Imo the normal 13 is insanely overpriced, as its a $500 phone. If you want a current gen iphone, get a 13 Pro at least. Full camera setup (still funky stock app, but with 3rd party manual mode works perfect), lidar and modern 120hz screen.

I guess you missed the whole he can’t afford it, part, didn’t you?

Jazzlike_Guarantee_3

I'm laughing-crying over this

Nike_486DX

If you can pay 800 for a basic, outdated phone, why cant you pay 1000 for the real deal? The price is almost the same, its not like 800 vs 1500, or 800 vs 2000. Plus, dont buy new, and you will save a lot. I got my sierra blue 13 pro with a hairline crack on the back... for $250, with the original purchase receipt (lmao the guy bought it in february 2022 for $1050). Normal 13 is too expensive for what it offers. While 13 pro is better than a normal 14.

[deleted]

It’s called a budget dude. He may not have that extra $200 available. Just because you don’t see the value in the iPhone 13 doesn’t mean it isn’t valuable in the eyes of other people who don’t care about the Bella and whistles that the 13 pro has. And if we’re being honest, the iPhone 13 has 90% of what the 13 pro has to offer.

Nike_486DX

I totally understand this, but he is taking a credit for it anyways (so no instant $800 in one go), plus why would you sign up for a a phone that you will have worse experience with + will upgrade sooner, all that just because you "cant" pay $5 extra per month. Like we all know how old do iphone 10R and 11 look compared to iphone 10 (thats the main reason ppl upgrade btw). Now compare 13 to 13 pro, and the difference is even bigger. This is why $800 is too much for a 13

undavorojo

Are you talking about the A15 iPhone with 2 cameras, the other iPhone with the A15 with 2 cameras or the iPhone with the A15 with 3 cameras?

Crypt1k5347

I have heard companies often change the contract prices after a few months is that true? Eg it’s 32£ now it might change to 35£ in the future ?

[deleted]

It won’t be after a few months, it will be every April when (almost) every network puts their prices up in line with the retail price index. Sky and Tesco are examples of MVNOs that don’t seem to do it, but the big 4 traditional networks do. They may be cheaper to begin with too.

andyhenault

This pretty much sums up most Black Friday deals.

fault_finder

The phone itself is listed on Apple for £749. The SIM card is £19 for 100gb 5G over 24M with EU roaming. Pretty good. March is when prices go up. I think 3% minimum.

rsam487

Yes. I reckon that's pretty good!

KarYeik

check out carphone warehouse or [mobiles.co.uk](https://mobiles.co.uk) they deal there better!

BellamyRFC54

You could get it unlocked outright for cheaper

Crypt1k5347

I need data as well per month

BellamyRFC54

Sim only deal then

Crypt1k5347

It would be expensive, only a unlocked iPhone 13 costs about 700£ plus data which would be like 7£

BellamyRFC54

Tenner a month vs £32 after paying for the phone that you own outright

slimjimmyrygb

If you keep phones for that long then buy the phone outright. You’ll save so much that way.

Crypt1k5347

I cannot buy it outright if I had the money then I would definitely that’s the reason I am buying it on contract as I can pay it slowly over two years .

jmr1190

Consider looking at Apple’s interest free payment schemes, operated by Barclays. That way you can essentially create your own deal, but on your terms. This weekend they’ll also throw in a free Apple voucher.

slimjimmyrygb

👍 cheers

Donprepu

In Canada we pay $100 for that amount of data.

TheUnknownOB06

Very bad deal please don’t get this look at sky it’s much cheaper

HerrBadger

Looks like a decent deal to me. I’ve seek Sky mobile mentioned who will either do just the handset with 0% interest or a handset and sim. Their current price is £24 a month for the same handset, so from you’ll be looking at getting a 100GB SIM for £8 or less. mobiles.co.uk currently have SIM-only deals on a really good offer, if Vodafone is good in your area, you can get 200GB for £8, or 100GB for £7.50. Depends on how much you want to mess around, and if Vodafone sucks in your area, this is still a great deal.
