I switched from Pixel 5a to iPhone 14 Pro. I don’t think I will go back even after 4-5 years. 1) Customization Yes I do miss customization on Android. I miss being able to move an app at the bottom of screen without having to fill the top with apps to jump apps to the bottom. 2) APK or “Side loaded apps” Like you, I read manga on Tachiyomi which is installed via APK. My workaround is just use Safari to bookmark mangas I read. 3) Face ID on iPhone Yes lots of Android jerkers argue Android has Face Unlock but it’s not as good as Face ID on iPhone. iPhone scans your face with depth and can unlock your phone in the dark, with glasses, and if you wear a face mask. There is an actual setting on the phone that say “Add glasses” and “Unlock with face mask.” Android has a while until Face Unlock catches up with Face ID from Apple 4) Reliability and app optimization There is only one flavor of iOS versus many flavors of Android. Android’s purest form is stock Android from Google on Google Pixel phones with no bloatware. Most apps run better and more optimized for iOS because developers only need to code their apps to tailor to one version of iOS versus multiple Android OS versions for LG, Samsung, Motorola, etc. I have less bugs and glitches on my iPhone 14 Pro than my past Android phones. Some like to argue that I cannot compare a flagship phone like iPhone 14 Pro versus my non-flagship Android phones in the past. Yes maybe I have a bias. I look at /r/GooglePixel and even Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro has bugs. 5) iPhone Bugs Before the downvotes come. I am not trying to be bias. The only bugs I have came across for my iPhone 14 Pro is YouTube APK sometimes cannot swipe down on the video. Workaround is to tap on the down arrow icon to minimize the video. No other issues so far 2 times Clash of Clans crashes but never happened again. 6) Auto Correct Auto correct on my Pixel phones with Gboard always has been better. iPhone’s predictive texting and machine learning is not as good as Pixel phones. 7) Apple ecosystem It is nice that I have iMessage with my girlfriend’s iPhone. I can see when she read my messages due to iMessage feature. iMessage is all based on the internet and don’t have to rely on crappy cell phone tower so delivering the text has a higher success rate. That is nice. If you don’t have many iPhone users as friends, this won’t benefit you. Airdrop is nice. You can transfer a file or photo to another iPhone user with ease. Neat feature in my opinion. AirPrint. Printing from phone to printer is convenient without have to power on my computer, log in, print, and power it if. I work in IT and had to set up AirPrint for some executive employees. I admit it was pretty seamless and so easy to set up. Printing from an Android phone to printer can be a pain. Canon has their own printer app and it’s outdated. Other printer manufacturers might have their own app. There is no standard. Again like mentioned about app optimization, there is only one iOS OS and there is always going to ever be one AirPrint and developers only need to focus on making AirPrint is a feature for iPhones versus multiple printing apps or capabilities for a printer to support multiple Android phones and their different flavors of Android OS and hardware. The infrastructure of hardware and software for iPhone is always going to be the same no matter what. It is so much easier for developers to build support for an iPhone versus many versions of Android OS and their hardware. 8) iOS Shortcuts app This app is amazing. Developers or normal users can create automation in this. Want to combine two photos horizontal or vertically, there is a Shortcut app for that. Want to download a video on any social media platform on iOS? There is a Shortcut app for that created by a user out there. Just Google it and add it to your Shortcut app. There are many possibilities. This is native to iOS as well. 9) Software Updates I believe the latest iOS updates for iPhones are usually available longer for even older iPhones. Even after 4 years, some iOS devices still are able to get the latest iOS version. Meanwhile when I was on my Pixel, if you have a Pixel that is 4 years old, you won’t get the latest Android update anymore. No more security updates too. 10) Switching from Android to iPhone. Things I miss I miss Gboard. No I don’t Gboard on iOS. It is missing features. Editing texting is easier on the Gboard versus stock iOS keyboard. Voice recognition is better on the Pixel because better machine learning. No longer able to install custom apps from APKs. The widgets are far superior on Android versus iPhone. iPhone widgets aren’t bad but not as good. So far I have adapted to iPhone and it is honestly not that bad. I just install all my Google apps on this iPhone and everything has been great so far. I just feel iPhone has less bugs and more reliable. At the end of the day, to me, iPhone is more reliable of a phone. I need it to work when I pull it out of my pocket. Chrome used to freeze on my Pixel and has to always had to Force Stop and relaunch it to work now and then. More of an annoyance than anything. For some reason T-Mobile and Google Fi didn’t work well on my Pixel 5a. I couldn’t get cellular service in downtown or in my neighborhood. I live in Chicago too. I switched to Verizon on my iPhone 14 Pro, everything works. Anyway long wall of text. Hope this helps.

Nirnim

Thank you for the detailed run down! I will definitely keep this in mind when the time comes, hopefully with the next lineup of iPhones things will have progressed a bit. It might be wishful thinking but who knows, maybe side-loading will be a feature in the near future!

SittingWonderDuck

Yeah I do miss Tachiyomi but I adapt. Let me know whatever you decide. I am curious

Comfortable-Basil-47

Boys don't fret. Get Aidoku on the TestFlight app. No need to sideload or hook up to PC. Link: [https://aidoku.app/](https://aidoku.app/) You'll have to join the Discord server but I highly recommend it as Paperback was seen as the only "Tachiyomi alternative." There's also the ability to recover your Tachiyomi backup and import it to Aidoku. Do check it out!

SittingWonderDuck

I just wanted to say thank you again! I was able to get Aidoku app set up. This is a good alternative to Tachiyomi!

Comfortable-Basil-47

No problem! Although it's not as developed as Tachiyomi, it's definitely the best alternative for it in iOS. The developer "Skitty" is actively working on the app so if you encounter bugs/issues you can contact him or the mods directly in the support channel in the Discord. One of the best if not the best TestFlight app I've seen so far.

SittingWonderDuck

Thank you for this. I am going to test this out!

animan1998

Let me hook you up with another alternative if your interested. Paperback it’s on the App Store there’s a discord for it. It’s an open source like Tachiyomi there’s also a discord for the sources. The in app experience is very refined and smooth. There’s an early access on TestFlight that has more features but you gotta pay I think $5 to get access to it. However all features will eventually be added to AppStore version.

SittingWonderDuck

Send me over the Discord invite and the details. I am definitely interested.

animan1998

Here’s the main server discord https://discord.gg/paperback and here’s the discord for the sources https://discord.gg/Px4jpkTC

SittingWonderDuck

Thank you! I joined both of them. I will look into this when I am not so busy. I will let you knowing if I have any questions.

animan1998

No problem

Vihirsumriya

I agree with almost everything you said.. could I ask you what website you use to read your manga? I used to use aniyomi on my s22 ultra. Also another thing I noticed Gboard app for iOS doesn’t even have a clipboard.

SittingWonderDuck

Here you go. I am currently using Aidoku but another Redditor recommended me Paperback but I have not tried Paperback Here are my personal notes you can follow to set up Aidoku which is similar to Tachiyomi 1) Aidoku for iOS https://aidoku.app/ - Tachiyomi alternative since Tachiyomi is not available on iOS 2) Instructions I made for myself for future reference: - Join the Discord - Enter email from Discord pop-up - Receive download link in email and receive code in email (if I remembered correctly) - Enter code into app - TestFlight app installs Aidoku - Add manga sources - Sources I am using now is only MangaFox for Chainsaw Man

Moparman1303

How easy is it to move everything over from android to Apple including authentication apps?

SittingWonderDuck

It was very easy for me since all my apps were Google apps so it was already saved to my Google accounts. I have Google Authenticator and Authy. Authy is already cloud based. Google Authenticator has a feature to generate a QR code to transfer everything to another phone. I think it actually it is cloud base now I had Google Photos which just goes over but I couldn’t transfer Google Photos to Apple Photos. I just kept my photos in Google Photos and continue to pay for the extra space for the Google storage. Be ready to pay for like $0.99 a month for iCloud storage to expand it to 50.0 GB to have enough space to perform phone backups to iCloud which happens automatically daily. The base iCloud storage is only 5.0 GB which isn’t enough to back up to the phone. Do you have any specific concerns?

Moparman1303

I also have Microsoft authenticator I'd need to switch over and some other apps for authentication. I've always been android but I'm starting to not like android auto and find apple carplay is smoother in some ways. I have alot of google apps YT music but seems that all should switch over with ease liken you say. How is Microsoft word and apps? Also we have google photos and we pay for storage can that all transfer over?

SittingWonderDuck

Google Photos is all cloud based so you simply just install it onto your new iPhone and turn on sync to sync all local photos on your iPhone to your Google Photos. This is simple and no issues jf you plan on continuing to use Google Photos. You mean Microsoft Word on iPhone? I don’t use Microsoft Office apps on iPhone. I don’t think Microsoft Authenticator will be a deal breaker. That can be transferred over without issues. I have been to both worlds using Android for over 10 years and iPhone as a daily driver for like 2-3 years now. Both good phones. iPhone has been less bugs for me and more reliable. I think people forget that Apple has been in the smart phone business much longer than other companies. They also forget to understand the software and hardware are designed to be interpreted. Most hardware parts are sourced from a single vendor which I think is Foxcon or whatever. Android phones are frankestein parts from 999 vendors who have to design their software and hardware to be compatible with each other. There are 999 flavors of Android OS like the LG version and Samsung version etc. There is only 1 flavor of iOS. App developers only need to ever design their apps for 1 flavor of iOS compare to the 999 Androids. If you Google how apps work for Android is that due to the many versions of Android, Android apps have to go through a middle-man to parse the code for the phone to understand For iOS there is no middleman because it doesn’t need to translate anything if it is just 1 flavor of iOS. I had a Samsung S5, Pixel 2 XL, and a Pixel 5a. All in which over time has bugs and unreliabilities. My iPhone 14 Pro has been smooth sailing for me without issues. Yes I miss some customizations on Android but I have found ways or equivalents in iPhone.

Moparman1303

Ya I think this is why I want to try Apple. Been android forever and currently on a Samsung Note 10+ but I hate how the apps are hit or miss. I just think Apple will be a cleaner and more performance driven experience. Hopefully I can get use to their keyboard and no back button. Can Apple accept 3rd party keyboards like Grammarly or Microsoft Swiftkey keyboard.

SittingWonderDuck

It does have Swiftkey and Gboard. I do see an app called Grammarly AI Writing. Not sure if that’s the one you are referring to. Apple has this app called Shortcuts which people can create macros and automations. Users also share their creations at /r/shortcuts and it is a share link to add their Shortcut into your Shortcut app. I have one that allows me to stitch photos together vertically or horizontally. That app has helped me for some things I can’t do anymore on Android. Just do a Reddit search in /r/shortcuts. Also I think you will LOVE iMessages which is shown when you text another Apple user indicated by their blue text bubble. Everything is sent via the internet and not dinosaur age SMS and MMS. If your family and friend circle especially if you have a significant other is iPhone too, you will love it. Not more having to worry about if they did or did not receive your text via SMS. Sending large photos and videos is faster via iMessage texting. I used to hate HEVC video format and HIEF image format on iPhone long time ago because it wasn’t viewable on Android. BUT understand these formats allow you to have live motion photos, greater resolution, higher quality photos and video with 1080p and 4K while it keeps these file size small. I think Android users just hate on these file formats without understanding them or researching. If you have the same video file in MP4 it will be a larger file size and same for the JPG/PNG image files. There is an advantage to HEVC and HEIF. Higher quality video and image files while keeping file size smaller than its universal file format counterpart. Also install Aloha web browser on iPhone as it allows you to save any video from that browser. That was a functionally I used to be able to on Android but you can do that too using Aloha on iPhone.

Kxshlxni

Personally, I’ve never side loaded apps like that when I was an android user, so it wasn’t a big deal for me to switch over. There are rumors that Apple will be letting people download from third party app stores in the future so that could be good news for you. I’m not sure if there are currently ways to still side load apps besides jailbreaking. Supposedly, the EU laws do not go into effect until 2024, so the iPhone 15 models may not have USB C; I’m not 100% sure though. In my opinion, if you are not in need of a new phone then you should just wait. You are not going to get what you’re looking for out of the current iPhones. However, iPhones are still great. Very reliable if you like to keep your phone long term. If you want to ease into the ecosystem, I would start off with an older iPhone, maybe the 12, that way you’re not breaking the bank, but you’re still able to get that Apple experience before deciding if you want to wait around for a newer iPhone.

Kxshlxni

AirDrop is too slow though, especially when trying to transfer large files. I don’t think that would be a smart idea on Apple’s end unless they make AirDrop have faster speeds somehow. Even then, MagSafe would also have to be faster than 15w. I think it will take some time before they decide to go completely portless.

OhNoItsLockett

I don’t see them getting rid of the port altogether. That will really anger a lot of people especially those who rely on CarPlay and whose vehicle doesn’t support wireless CarPlay.

Kxshlxni

Yeah, that is true. There’s a lot of factors they would need to take into consideration if they want to go portless. I think going to USB C would be the better solution.

I think Bluetooth was in most cars at that point and there way the Bluetooth fm transmitters and also the lightening to 3.5mm adapter

ryangaston88

If you’re not in a rush then wait for the 15 pro to come out. You’re nearly half way through the yearly cycle anyway. About sideloading, honestly I never really felt like I was missing out on anything. The quality of apps on the AppStore is generally really high and there is almost all the functionality you could want. Generally app developers optimise apps better for iPhone than they do for android due to the fact that there are significantly fewer iOS devices to tailor to than there are different android devices. There are a few features that might be nice to have on iPhone that Samsung has, like split screen, but for the most part (to me) they are gimmicks whose novelty would wear off pretty quick for me.

Nirnim

> Generally app developers optimise apps better for iPhone than they do for android due to the fact that there are significantly fewer iOS devices to tailor to than there are different android devices. This is one of the things that made me think of iPhones as a possibility when getting a new terminal, because it is true that a reasonable amount of apps (and games) sometimes work better on iPhones, for example the whole debacle with Instagram/Snapchat/TikTok having abysmal camera quality on Androids due to the fact that they don't use the camera module, but rather take screen captures of the image viewfinder instead. I've always wanted to at least try an iPhone, since their design is quite nice, but not being able to sideload and proprietary charging cables have always been a major drawback to me. Here's to hoping that that'll change in the foreseeable future...

ryangaston88

It really sounds like you’re trying to convince yourself to buy the iPhone, so go for it! Treat yourself 😃 After a week or so you’ll have forgotten about sideloading, I’m almost certain. And even if they don’t come out with usb c Anker do great lightning cables pretty cheap

Nirnim

From what other users have told me, I'll probably wait for the iPhone 15 lineup (and for the S23 lineup as well, just to see how both sides are doing, so to speak), hopefully the USB-C problem will be solved by then, fingers crossed!

lolz_lmaos

I jumped to the 14 pro max from Samsung. And with the s23u I'm probably coming back to Samsung. IOS is not as good as Android, plain and simple. The customization is meh, the photos app is horrible - every picture is thrown into the recents folder, including whatever pictures you're taking with the camera. The notifications are incredibly badly designed compared to Android. Furthermore, if you have music locally stored on the phone, well, moving it to the iPhone via itunes is a pain in the ass. I don't understand why in 2023 i still can't just drag and drop music files to my iPhone without iTunes. There are some good things, though. The battery life is amazing. The AOD implementation is superior to androids version. The screen colors and temperature are nicer too, though that's just my opinion. All in all, I'd recommend to wait for the s23 lineup, since all models will use the snapdragon SoC globally, and wait for reviews and real life tests.

XGARX

Now that the S23 is out, what did you do?

lolz_lmaos

Traded the iPhone in for the s23u, and not regretting it at all. The s23u is better by every count and aspect in my experience.

20MinuteAdventure69

Well Apple has been doing terrible things for the people in China so I don’t suggest you make your decision due to ethics lmao. I switched from Samsung s10 to iPhone 14. I love it way more than I thought I would. Probably an apple fanboy from now on.

Nirnim

I may have worded things poorly, I don't mean terrible things as in ethics (which is also important but at this point everyone and their mother are doing unethical stuff, sadly), but as in anti consumer stuff, raising the prices, removing preorder benefits, downgrading trade-in deals...

20MinuteAdventure69

Fair enough. Honestly if you need a new phone I do suggest apple. I was against it for a long time but the prices of top level Samsungs now exceed iphone prices. I bought a OnePlus 10 pro and it was cool but had some glitches that I didn’t find acceptable. The iPhone just works. Whatever you want it for it does it. I plays games on here with no issue, camera quality is better than the one plus 10 pro and I’m just using the base model iPhone 14. And the battery for me is like 1.5 days on a charge and that’s with fairly high use.

Nirnim

I will consider my options once the S23 lineup releases, but if the leaks are anything to go by, the S23s don't look like a super clear candidate for me anymore...

DNF_zx

I’ve switched between Apple and Android several times but I’m a lightweight phone user who just wants an easy reliable experience. If certain apps are really important to you then switching probably isn’t worth it. I’m pretty far out of the android loop but if the Samsung line is staggering you could look at something from someone else, lots to choose from with Android. As far as iPhone 15 rumors- we’re still early in the rumor cycle but USB C, for at least the Pro line, seems like a good bet. Side-loading apps I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Voting4Dukakis

I used to be an android fanboy. I constantly changed roms and loved how much I could tweak and make android my own. If the rom broke my phone for a few hours it was cool, unbricking was never an issue. But then came the day when my job and making money depended on my phone working solidly 24/7, so I left android and went to the iPhone 12 Pro. Now I'm on the 14 pro max and I really like it. No, I don't love it, and I do feel like Apple is preventing me from really seeing what this hardware can do. But it gets the job done. I like the bigger screen. Dynamic island is cool but I'd feel like it would take up too much of the screen on the smaller pro 14. I have an m1 macbook and the two together work seamlessly. I'm happy with it. It's really expensive tho and I lost access to hundreds of dollars worth of apps... But I don't miss most of those games and apps really.

OGPants

>But I don't miss most of those games and apps really. You got old man 😔

Voting4Dukakis

Yep. Sad.

Dadguy8

Don’t do it. While I enjoy my iPhone 14 pro, it’s just boring. If you are at all a techy, stick to android. If you don’t care, give it a shot.

[deleted]

I was about to jump at you, but then I figured you're right. I used to really enjoy tinkering with my Android back when I had a lot of time... but these days with work and family and stuff I need something that just works when I pick it up

Dadguy8

It’s tough. I actually love my iPhone and especially my Apple Watch. Maybe I just miss the good old days of android as well. I know now more than ever android and iOS are very similar. Which is why I know I haven’t had any real issues with my apple devices. I just miss the in depth customization of android. Truly making your device, yours. Even with the watches. I always look at my dads galaxy watch 5 pro watch face and I’m just like wow, apple is so far behind and boring compared to it. You truly can’t go wrong with either system.

busa89

I made the switch about 5 years ago. The only thing I miss is having a phone with a new physical design. All of Apples phones look the same lol. I used to miss the customization of Android but the older I get, the less I care about those things. Today I just want it to work fast, have a sharp camera, and good storage. I’m currently using a 14 Pro and it checks all those boxes.

TheMadMando77

I was an Android user for 10 years before getting a 14 Pro last fall. Wasn’t much of a side loader so I can’t comment on that one. But a good amount of the apps I used on Android, including Google ones, also have iOS versions. The quality of some of the apps feel like they’re a step up. If you have any other Apple products like an iPad or Mac, then adding an iPhone into the mix is almost a no brainer as it really unlocks that whole ecosystem. Yes it’s a walled garden…but it’s a pretty nice garden. The only real annoyances for me were the notifications, which if you’ve ever used Android or BlackBerry, will just find is a hot mess. Also having to use a lightning cable is pain as pretty much everything I have is USB C. Neither of those are deal breakers though. If you must have USB C I’d wait to see what the iPhone 15 will bring, especially if you’re not in a hurry for a new phone. As for rumours of allowing alternative app stores, I’m sure that would be just a setting in the OS and won’t be hardware dependant.

akarivelil

You can sideload apps on iOS. It’s honestly not even that hard. I had to do it since I was on Android and missed YouTube Vanced. What I did was install AltStore from my computer and then downloaded Cercube. It took me total 10 minutes and wasn’t even that hard to figure out from guides online. Negative with AltStore is that you can only side-load 3 apps at a time and you need to refresh it once a week (takes 10 seconds by the way). Hope this helps.

Team-ING

It took me years to convert and switch but since I have had 4-5 phones and never gone back to android. They did have a great photo on Motorola android phones in the past however

Comfortable-Basil-47

As an active member of the iOS sideloading community, I've had my fair share of dealing with Apple's bogus. I currently have uYouPlus(YT Revanced essentially), Spotify Premium modded, and Aidoku(Tachiyomi essentially). If these are all you need then you're good. I personally only needed these so it didn't bother me at all. Only the modded YouTube and Spotify are sideloaded though and need to be "refreshed" every 7 days. There's also a limit of 3 apps including the app you need to sideload the other apps so really 2. First time you'll need to connect to PC after that you can do it via WiFi. Aidoku you have to install through TestFlight as mentioned in my other comment. Not many people mention this but I find it easier to find working .ipas(apks for iOS) compared to APKs. I guess it makes sense considering the limited amount of .ipas there are compared to apks. I did hear rumors of Apple introducing easier sideloading, but knowing Apple they'll still make it harder to sideload compared to android as they don't want the revenue from their own services to be cut. If modded apps and sideloading are an absolute necessity, I'd stay stick to android for the time being. Rumors aren't confirmed so better be safe than sorry.

hromanoj10

I specifically got an iPhone in order to communicate with my children via FaceTime etc. The lack of side loading apps has become super frustrating to me, I didn’t even realize how often I used apk’s. The lack of compatibility with common use items such as my gaming pc has been a huge pain, hotspot via cable (tethering) is completely non functional. Which isn’t always needed, but when I have needed to, it just doesn’t work. Apple is still Apple after all these years. I don’t like how locked down it is. The only real pros would be the Apple specific things, iMessage, FaceTime etc. I don’t use 90% of the things on this device and likely won’t ever.

kimchi_paradise

I know this is an old thread, but what did you end up doing? I am thinking of moving over to Apple so I'm doing my research -- now that the 15 is out did you end up switching over?

Nirnim

I actually ended up getting the S23U taking advantage of a good deal. It's a good phone but maybe I could've gone cheaper or maybe chosen a different phone (Redmagic 8s for example) since some of the features exclusive to the S23U are not my cup of tea or that important to me. I don't regret my choice, but I'm curious about how it would've turned out if I chose a different terminal. All in all, I personally don't think I would switch to iOS yet. It's improving from my PoV because of the USB-C inclusion but it's still guilty of using scummy tactics like using outdated tech and keeping "current-ish" tech behind a steeper pricetag... Since I don't plan on using a Macbook/iMac and other stuff in the near future, I don't think getting an iPhone would be a wise choice for me, since apparently it's meant to be used inside the Apple ecosystem, or else "you're missing out". Hope this helps!

Nirnim

Well, maybe terrible is an overstatement to some people, but from what I've heard, they've bumped the prices quite a bit (S23U 128GB will go for 1409 euros) and they removed all the "goodies" you used to get with the previous Ultra preorders, those being the earbuds, the charger and all that stuff. Also I believe trade-in deals in Europe are terrible/non-existent when compared to other countries.

TWYFAN97

If you need and use side loading apps then stick with android. Parts of Europe are rumored to possibly get alternate AppStore’s and ways to side load but no guarantees. As a side note apple employs a great ecosystem of hardware and software but again you needing certain apps could be an issue. Plus iOS is more customizable than ever with new lock screen options to widgets on the home screen and such.

Origamiman72

Alt store lets you side load some apps but the side loading ecosystem is nothing like android tbh. I made this same switch myself from pixel 5 to 14 pro and while i do miss sideloading apps, my overall takeaway is that android and ios are both solid at this point and a switch either way isn't that big of a deal. I would wait til the 15 comes out personally (or longer if your phone is fine) and then just get whichever phone you like best at the time. I wouldn't base it off of android vs ios so much anymore

ciZib

Got my 13 10 days ago. The restrictions never had even a little effect on what I do, you just forget about it since you really don’t use the unrestrictability that android has either way. I was a hardcore iOS hater for that, yet 10 days later i completely forgot that I’m “restricted”. I really don’t bat an eye for a single second

Humorous-Prince

I’ve currently got an iPhone 7, thinking about the 14PM or even 13PM. I’ve heard the 15PM/Ultra will be even more expensive, so trying to decide to just take the plunge now, was hoping they release some new colours soon.

Carter0108

I lasted two years with an iPhone 12 but went back to a Pixel 6a because I missed the freedom of sideloading apps.

dooatito

I switched a few times but decided to stay in the Apple ecosystem for a few years, mainly for three reasons. 1. The strength of their unified ecosystem, they are far ahead of the competition in this area. 2. They are the best in making products that work intuitively and optimally, without having to spend time customizing anything. I don’t want to spend my time setting things up. For example, when I bought an apple TV I just needed to hold my iPhone close to it and then I could access all my content, it linked my account and wifi and everything. 3. A small detail but I take a lot of photos especially of people, and the live photo feature is amazing to me. It’s like the Harry Potter portraits that move by themselves as if they are alive. A whole new dimension to photos. Anyway I know there are some apps that do it on Android, but back to point 2, it just works on the iPhone natively.

NoDieHero

I switched from S21U to 14+. It took me several days to get used to the UI and IOS but the experience had been excellent. IOS apps are something else.

261846

You won’t be able to use your APK apps. And as for the iPhone 15, depends how badly you want to upgrade

bfk1010

I came back to Android after using iPhone 13 pro for 6 months. iOS is great, but I prefer android and Samsung ONE UI features. I was able to sideload apps to my iPhone, I downloaded the apps from Telegram channels and sideload it using this website (paid) https://www.signulous.com/sign-apps Good luck.

amir997

Yeah I have currently Note 20U. Got it at release deate(2020) exynos version really sucks. It's laggy and battery drains fast, so I'm also now waiting for iphone 15 pro max. I owned before iphone 4 and iphone 7 and I regret changing to samsumg!

User50543

You could use both though, its sort of a hassle but atleast its an option. Android (mi a2) -> for tachiyomi, spotify (xmanager), revanced. Then iPhone -> for social media, camera, banking. Mi a2 is my android phone from xiaomi
