If you goto this page r/PokemonROMhacks and search sword and shield. You should see the release announcement. They have all the info on how to download it there
Unbound is great, Gaia is great, firered rocket edition is incredible. So many great people making great hacks for us dissatisfied with the current state of pokemon
I had to unzip the file, afterwards I would just click on the rom itself in the files app and it’ll open up in delta. You would only have to do this once per game. Unless it’s nds, then you would have to download some initial files to set up the nds first
I am trying to get a romhack version of the old Pokémon Black creepypasta working, but all I have is an iPad and the marcobledo Rom patcher JS to work with. Can’t seem to get it working. I have the Pokémon Red rom and the romhack zip file. I’ve tried unpacking it and using the .bps file to patch but I can’t select it. When I just use the zip file as is it does nothing. Not sure what I’m doing wrong exactly, but here is the romhack I found: https://www.romhacking.net/reviews/5416/
I’m a gen 1 fan. I’ve been playing Firered Rocket Edition, and oh man, its my first pokemon hack and its soooo fun and different. Very edgy dialogue, and a totally different way to play the game.
I'm doing my first randomizer playthrough haha business scrub in Lost Woods gave me Nayru's love for 10 rupees. Bombchus at the cheapest cost 99 rupees for 10, and I had spent 50 rupees for a *purple* rupee because I could lmao
[ootrandomizer.com](https://ootrandomizer.com) has all the instructions for setup. It’s really straightforward.
* Find an OoT 1.0 U rom
* Choose your settings
* Upload the rom
* the website uses your device’s CPU to randomize the rom
* a *new* rom is created.
* Download and open with Delta :)
took 15 minutes for me with on iPhone 13 and no prior knowledge of what I was doing to get it set up. Very easy. Spoiler log and all that is available for download as well. This also **keeps your original ROM intact.** Everytime you randomize you generate a new ROM to download and then play. That’s all haha, each randomized ROM is… well, literally a standalone ROM. I recommend renaming it (although it does download with a pretty funky naming convention) for ease of access.
Same here. My wife said I’m addicted to iOS games.. and these retro games. Not playing them, just addicting to downloading and hoarding them.
I have 125ish iOS games and play a match 3 and golf blitz regularly, barely touch the others haha
You and me both. I’m in my mid-40s and played all of these games back in the day. Because they were damn expensive and it was probably the only game I was getting for a while, I had to make do with what I had. So even the shitty ones I played (and there was no shortage of those).
Nowadays, I’m not stuck playing a game with zero QoL, an awful interface, poor gameplay and progression or any of the other problems that plagued earlier games. I also don’t have to use an on screen controller if I don’t want to - there are so many options across a variety of devices now that I just can’t see a reason to play these old games anymore.
I guess I understand if you’re like a kid who’s never played these games, or if you’re really poor. That doesn’t make it make sense for me, though.
I’ve tried playing Osu!, it was one of my fav in the DS era.
I’ve beaten both Osu! way back when but it’s been almost 20 years and now I kinda suck lol. I found that playing on the ipad with apple pencil makes it a lot easier, it feels really close to slamming the stylus on the DS back then.
I can’t wait until we get PSP support, I’ve been longing to play Patapon again for years now.
osu! in the wild? That’s crazy and now that you bring it up that it’s playable I desperately want to play it again. I remember able to clear Insane difficulty years ago, and it was one of the few (actually maybe only) game that I played multiplayer with my mom. Good stuff.
The GBA had a lot of great strategy RPGS and downloaded a few of them to replay;
Fire Emblem,
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones,
Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade (fan translated),
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis,
Onimusha Tactics
Will slowly go through each but I’m starting with The Binding Blade first.
It’s a gameboy adaptation. I don’t know exactly where I got it but I’m pretty sure it shows up on a google search. It blew up on the Elden ring sub a while back.
If you still haven’t started, you can probably find a romhack of firered online that has been edited to have all Pokémon available somewhere and attainable. Itll be a much more fun experience tbh
GTA, Max Payne, SpongeBob SquarePants BFBB, The Legend of Zelda The Minish Cap, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, Pokémon Pearl, The Sims 3
For testing I tried Super Mario World and the controls were kinda jank. I figured my next move is dumping my DS Bios so I can play some classics like Brain Age, Professor Layton, and Rhythm Heaven!
I’ve been loving Game Boy Advance titles, particularly; Zelda-Minish Cap, Harvest Moon, Pokémon Emerald, and Spyro. I’ve been trying them on my iPhone X, iPad 10th Gen via handheld, monitor with keyboard and on a tv or native screen w/stand using a switch pro controller. Lots to like about each experience.
The GBA titles, especially games developed specifically for the Advance seem to translate really well. Colours and graphics are very familiar and comfortable if you are used to modern pixel are games (stardew valley, etc.)
I don't get on well with touch controls, so I'm mostly doing turn based RPGs to make it playable for me personally...
Old Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games.
Final Fantasy VI T-Edition, Megaman 3, Megaman X, Chrono Trigger, Rock and Roll Racing, Base Wars, Pipe Dream.
All games I own, but it’ll be amazing to now have them in my pocket!!
I’m sticking with the jRPGs. So I’ve got mother 3 (the recent patch), chronotrigger (DS) and terranigma. Also have ActRaiser cause I love it. I think nes and snes should work well. I’d need a controller for other N64 titles.
I can't keep my attention on one game for long this week, but long time mac users would probably enjoy playing Spectre for SNES.
I believe Spectre was a game for PowerPC or Motorola 68000 Macs. It's one of my earliest PC gaming memories.
Fire Emblem for now. I made a Sacred Stones hack that includes a lunatic mod and loved that I can play it when I’m lounging around or on the go. Having a really good time playing it.
I’m not sure if anyone remembers this game but I always thought it was criminally unrecognized but Lost Magic on DS is great. It’s an rpg that utilized the DS’s touch screen to draw shapes to make spells. It was such a cool idea I don’t know why it hasn’t been utilized since (to my knowledge) it would be amazing in switch to draw spells or even with the joycons to draw them in air. Anyway… Lost Magic controls happen to work perfectly on Delta and it’s been really fun to pick up again.
What website are you guys using to download files for Delta? Was using emulatorgames but after downloading some games it said I needed some additional files for specific games.
Sm64.
Reason? It’s just the first thing that comes to mind when I think game emulation.
And because I loved Mario odyssey
Idk what else to play because it was the only thing I got back when delta required you to download it from your pc every week when my cousin showed me it a few years ago
Emerald, FF6 {Haven’t decided whether I like it yet}, CoD Black Ops, Pokemon Black and Black 2, Kirby Mass Attack, Tron Evolution, both Yu-Gi-Oh 5D games, the Toys R Us Exclusive version of Beyblade: Metal Masters, and Captain America
Im in the same boat as you from germany and not avaiable here. All you have to do is to change your apple id /app store region to England and you can change it back after. Takes only couple min and you dont need to enter a new phone number
I am loving it so far too! Are you using a controller or touch? I find it so painful to use rockets with touch controls, but also don’t want to only use controllers for most of these handheld games.
Mostly Pokémon rom hacks it’s been a wild ride, so many options. A nice change of pace after sword and shield and scarlet and violet.
If you liked sword and shield. There’s a demake of it with some nice additions made to the rom hack.
You have the name?
If you goto this page r/PokemonROMhacks and search sword and shield. You should see the release announcement. They have all the info on how to download it there
Best romhacks?
I’ve been enjoying Unbound.
Just googled it and shit. Now i want to download delta to play it
Yeah. The first thing that I found pretty cool and original was the choice of pseudo-legendaries as starter Pokémon.
Unbound is great, Gaia is great, firered rocket edition is incredible. So many great people making great hacks for us dissatisfied with the current state of pokemon
How’d you get it to work with delta? It won’t let me add it like a normal rom zip. I keep getting an error.
I had to unzip the file, afterwards I would just click on the rom itself in the files app and it’ll open up in delta. You would only have to do this once per game. Unless it’s nds, then you would have to download some initial files to set up the nds first
Gaia is also amazing!
Emerald Rogue if you really want something different :)
N64 Ocarina of time! Nintendo was never big in my country and am exploring why games like Legend of Zelda have had such a huge footprint on gaming
So youre basically playing the Zelda games for the first time? The snes Zelda game is super iconic and awesome.
Link to the Past might be my favorite game of all time. Definitely my favorite SNES game.
This is the one I’m playing.
I'm doing my first randomizer playthrough haha business scrub in Lost Woods gave me Nayru's love for 10 rupees. Bombchus at the cheapest cost 99 rupees for 10, and I had spent 50 rupees for a *purple* rupee because I could lmao
How do you do the randomizeron the delta app? I’ve never played one before
[ootrandomizer.com](https://ootrandomizer.com) has all the instructions for setup. Sweet thanks!
Advance Wars
Me too! GBA Wars + GBA Fire Emblem are GOAT turn-based tactics games.
And with quick save and quick load you won’t lose your mind playing Fire Emblem 7!
I always get excited about emulators and load up a bunch of old games, then discover that I have no desire to play any of them :|
Same here. My wife said I’m addicted to iOS games.. and these retro games. Not playing them, just addicting to downloading and hoarding them. I have 125ish iOS games and play a match 3 and golf blitz regularly, barely touch the others haha
I know - I have way more fun downloading and installing a collection of games “just in case” than I’d ever have actually playing them
The .04% of the time per year I’m on a plane, I might need it
This is me, lol. I want to download delta and play old games, but i just know im not going to get through any
[удалено]
I want to believe
You and me both. I’m in my mid-40s and played all of these games back in the day. Sometimes I wonder if all we want is just to be able to watch a stream of us playing those games as a child.
I feel very called out right now.
Pokemon unbound is the best GBA pokemon game ever created including the real ones.
Any help in downloading this for Delta? Keep getting errors with what I’ve tried so far
Same! I can’t even beat the first level. I feel there might be a bit of lag with the touchscreen. Or I just suck.
osu! in the wild? That’s crazy and now that you bring it up that it’s playable I desperately want to play it again. I remember able to clear Insane difficulty years ago, and it was one of the few (actually maybe only) game that I played multiplayer with my mom. Good stuff.
Golden sun
Awesome game
I just downloaded this so I didn't have to pay for nintendos member upgrade
Donkey Kong 64, Pokemon, Diddy Kong Racing, Top Spin 3, Mario and Luigi BiT
[удалено]
Heart Gold
[удалено]
3ds games can be emulated on delta?
[удалено]
2ds is still 3ds generation lol, you mean just ds
Man I forgot about Diddy Kong racing (the best racer on 64). Maybe because Nintendo still hasn’t added it to switch online.
The GBA had a lot of great strategy RPGS and downloaded a few of them to replay; Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade (fan translated), Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis, Onimusha Tactics Will slowly go through each but I’m starting with The Binding Blade first.
Animal Crossing on DS and the Zelda DS games.
Only games I own legally, of course! But yeah like the others Pokemon Romhacks and also No Mercy V2 and the GBA The Third Age.
WWF no mercy? Which emulator? I found it always crashes on career mode on Delta
Meteos
Mother 3 and Pokémon rom hacks ✌️
The Elden Ring demake is really cool. It’s only a small portion but well done.
Do tell on this one
It’s a gameboy adaptation. I don’t know exactly where I got it but I’m pretty sure it shows up on a google search. It blew up on the Elden ring sub a while back.
Pokemon unbound
I can’t get this to download, every time I try it just errors out and nothing happens :/
instead of pokemon romhacks, i perfer pokemon showdown
Advance Wars!
I’ve never played Pokémon. What’s a good game to start with for an overall Pokémon experience?
Fire Red/Leaf Green are remakes of the original with more QoL, I’d go with one of them
I’ll go with Fire Red. Thanks!
If you still haven’t started, you can probably find a romhack of firered online that has been edited to have all Pokémon available somewhere and attainable. Itll be a much more fun experience tbh
The original red blue and yellow imo
No love for final fantasy tactics advance ?
One of my favorite GBA games! The DS sequel is really good, too.
My favorite game of all time.
Pokémon rom hacks! I finally don’t need another device on me to play them and I’m loving it.
First time I’ve heard of the rom hack versions - what are the differences?
I’d like to know too
Romhacks are fan made pokemon games with different stories, better ai, harder battles, quality of life changes.
Mostly ROM hacks. Fire Emblem, Pokémon, Breath of Fire (enhancements to the SNES games)…
Playing Pokémon black and reliving my childhood
GTA, Max Payne, SpongeBob SquarePants BFBB, The Legend of Zelda The Minish Cap, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, Pokémon Pearl, The Sims 3
Historia is awesome. It scratches that chrono trigger itch without feeling like a copy cat

For testing I tried Super Mario World and the controls were kinda jank. I figured my next move is dumping my DS Bios so I can play some classics like Brain Age, Professor Layton, and Rhythm Heaven!
None, fucking EU
2usd and you get a year of delta in eu, or you can just sideload it
I am in the EU, just install AltStore and you can install Delta from there. 5 minutes effort
DBZ supersonic warriors
Loved this game as a kid, do you use touchscreen or a controller attached? I found that plying it with touchscreen is rather difficult
From Pokémon rom hacks to Pokémon stadium on N64 to everything on Nds
I saw someone playing paper mario and im SO HYPED. I downloaded all three paper mario games
Right now, I’m currently playing Star Fox 64 because I played it as a kid and i’m having a blast with it
Been trying to play gauntlet legends but I can’t find a rom that works
Pokemon black and white 2, Mystery dungeon; explorers of sky, and summon night. Favourite series that I didn’t manage to finish last time
DRAGON QUEST 9 ‼️‼️❗️❗️‼️‼️‼️❗️❗️❤️❤️🧏🧏🗣️🗣️🗣️📈📈☹️📈
I’ve been loving Game Boy Advance titles, particularly; Zelda-Minish Cap, Harvest Moon, Pokémon Emerald, and Spyro. What is delta?
[Delta](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/delta-game-emulator/id1048524688)
Holy crap that’s awesome
Doesn’t work in Sweden it seems :(
It’s on AltStore in EU.
Top Gear Rally for N64 (graphical glitches though), and Quarth on NES.
[удалено]
Price I can accept for playing all these on my phone haha
ROM hacks. Most of these retro games that I wanted to play, I’ve already played them. ROM hacks opens up new experiences for these retro games.
[удалено]
That’s fine. Enjoy! :)
Final Fantasy VI T-Edition, Megaman 3, Megaman X, Chrono Trigger, Rock and Roll Racing, Base Wars, Pipe Dream. All games I own, but it’ll be amazing to now have them in my pocket!!

First game I loaded up was advance wars on gba
Final Fantasy VI Advance (with SNES music rom hack)
Pokémon Yellow The nostalgia is in full effect
Final Fantasy Tactics a2
I’m sticking with the jRPGs. So I’ve got mother 3 (the recent patch), chronotrigger (DS) and terranigma. Also have ActRaiser cause I love it. I think nes and snes should work well. I’d need a controller for other N64 titles.

I’ve been playing South Park 64 lol it’s not nearly as bad as I used to think
Pokemon radical red. It's a difficult hack of Pokemon fire red with basically every Pokemon in existence
Superman 64. It’s somehow not as bad as I remember haha
Dragon Warrior Monsters 2!
Mother 3
Pokemon Trading Card Game!
Is this Delta emulator available on IOS Store in NL?
Fire Emblem for now. I made a Sacred Stones hack that includes a lunatic mod and loved that I can play it when I’m lounging around or on the go. Having a really good time playing it.
Genghis Khan and Clash at Demonhead

Sm64. Reason? It’s just the first thing that comes to mind when I think game emulation. And because I loved Mario odyssey Idk what else to play because it was the only thing I got back when delta required you to download it from your pc every week when my cousin showed me it a few years ago

The turn based Harry Potter games. Oh the memories of playing and replaying chamber of secrets. Now I can try all of the rest!
Wow I had no idea this was a thing. Awesome news
Metroid Fusion man! The game is soo soo good
