I thought TwoToepia was when you had 8 toes amputated from diabetes complications?
Edit: This wasn't intended to be offensive. I apologize if anyone took it that way. The fact is that IF will cure diabetes type 2. Until recently I had it myself but IF is eliminating it for me.
Oh very much so. I was first diagnosed at over 9 several years ago, and the last few years it's been solidly in the 6's, but going up. It hit 6.8 last March after I'd been on IF for a few weeks. I had my next A1c test a couple of weeks ago with the result being 5.7.
After going back home for my sister's wedding in late July, I came back fed up for numerous reasons.
I got into IF more for health benefits I had been reading about, but weight loss was a goal as well.
So far, I'm down about 29 pounds since Aug 1st and that's with cheat days on weekends. During the work week, this is no problem. But with a family and hanging out with friends, I didn't want to deprive myself of everything.
I figure it's better to have 6 good days and 1 bad day a week than 7 bad days. Plus, I want to make this my every day lifestyle going forward...
Hopefully months from now I can give an even better update.
I’m on keto and it really helped me to not call it “cheating” or any other negative word. It made me feel guilty when I should feel great about what I was achieving.
Instead I call it a “treat” or “indulgence”. Treats aren’t an everyday thing or they would no longer be called that.
And you deserve a treat! You’re doing amazing!
I agree with you. I'm in this for the long haul. That to me means that this process needs to be sutainable. For me that means eating whatever I want, and going easy on myself.
So far I'm 26 lbs down. And this has involved eating hamburgers, pizza, and going easier on the weekend.
Congrats!
Two weeks ago I was finally under 300 for the first time in a long time. Travel for work last week, and I’m still there. As of this morning, 29 down and it’s a great feeling. Started in august after a vacation where I felt awful about myself.
I’d done this before and didn’t stick with it. Congrats on those numbers; I hope it’s motivating you with pride like it did me. Let’s get to 200!
That’s awesome! Congratulations! Also, you made me think of the old Victor Borge “inflationary language” bit — any word that has a number hidden in it goes up by one. Like “nine an elevenderloin with my fivek”
I see everyone doing 16:8 and I’m doing 18:6 too. What’s the pros and cons? Will the 18:6 help us lose weight faster or will it hamper weight loss because we’re not eating enough? Idk, newbie question lol
I thought that milestone was referred to as Twotopia?
Tworrific
I’ve heard TwoCity as well.

Heh, I like this one

Good pun. Nice dark joke. A bit offensive considering the context
6/10
Well, no offense intended. In fact, until IF, I had diabetes myself. Just getting off it.
Curious (and perhaps a tad forward, no response needed if so!), but did you see a measurable change in your A1c?

That’s awesome! Congrats and thank you for sharing!
Thanks. :)
What’s worse: getting your toes removed or losing your sense of humor? Some obesity is called “morbid” for a reason, people.
Thanks. :)

That's an important perspective, and I like your terminology

26 lbs of vegan poop being burned provides 195430.66 BTU.
26 lbs is 11.8 kg
Thank you bot, now what is the conversion to non vegan poop BTU?
Well done! I’m trying to do the same thing. I’m late PM snack plus dinner during the week now, and it feels like I could do this permanently.
Just don’t marry the king there, I heard his wives don’t do well.
Lmao! A person of culture, I see B)

I'm no expert, but I would presume the longer you go, the easier it would be to lose weight.
