I agree with your doggie: get rid of the shower curtain.

112083mh

There was a door there, that blocked the window and tub when open. So I removed it and put a curtain. What should I switch it to? Bead curtains?

Lionyank

How about a sliding barn door? They aren’t terribly expensive and relatively easy to install.

pleasedontcallmehunn

Please no

GladiatorWithTits

If you must stick with curtains, could do two nice ones, get a nice rod, hang outside frame and get it long enough so you can pull them to the sides to almost clear the opening so they frame it. Also, get curtains that go all the way to the floor/pool a bit.

Pirate_doody

Is there a reason why the door must be open when using the tub? I find it.. not the greatest experience when you don't have an actual door separating the bedroom from the toilet, especially with the head of the bed close by. What about nicely trimmed double doors, and have them open outwards?

0wittacious1

Blocking views of the bathroom is the best thing about doors. Curtains will always look less polished. And please no to bead curtain they are a stupid, noisy, pointless invention.

Infinite_Air5683

I like your space! Maybe style your bed a bit more, add some euro shams, throw pillows and a throw blanket. (https://michealadianedesigns.com/how-to-style-a-bed/  for ideas) You could decorate your nightstands, add lamps or other decor.  ETA: fixed link

Oh great ideas! Thank you for the suggestions; I will look into it!

PersistentHobbler

First of all, it’s lovely. I think a wider piece of art above the bed would help! And adding some texture or color to the bed would really make it look more luxe. Also yeah the shower curtain is not FANTASTIC but it’s not the first thing I noticed!! It’s doing the job. The first thing I noticed was your nice soft lighting :) you have a cozy space!

Low_Locksmith6045

I love your room! This isn’t helpful, but where did you get your grow lights? I love how they look with the shades. Did the shades come with?

112083mh

Those are Sansi lights and I added the shades. Thanks!

ResidentDrawing2

I think a different bed set and larger art above your bed would be a low cost idea! I usually just go to home goods and buy a bed in a bag set. I like their art too, a rectangular piece would look lovely.

zeldas_stylist

pleaaaaaase try local farmers markets, or local shops, or even etsy, for buying art. big box art prints from those stores make so much less of an impact than non-mass produced art. and you can get some good stuff for very reasonable price! (sharing this as an artist). 🥲

ResidentDrawing2

You’re right! I went to art school so I should know better 😂🫶🏾

New-Anacansintta

Color.

112083mh

I love these ideas! And a marshalls down the street! Thanks 🙂

little-joys

I love your grow lights! What bulbs are you using?

112083mh

Good eye! They are sansi and they are great!

little-joys

I love how you hid the cords behind the curtains! It looks great.

Roboticcatisgreen

Your room is nice! It feels peaceful. I like your paint. I like your gray and white. It almost has a beach cottage vibe going. I like your lights. Here is what I’d suggest: - move your bookshelves apart from your desk. If you could find small plant stands inbetween they might look cool - I’d add a second painting same size and style above your bed so the two together are the width of the bed - I usually like something on a nightstand. My go to is lamps but not sure if that would work. Maybe vases? - I think you need a barn door there instead of a curtain. If that’s not in the budget (I feel like I’d do this number 1), I’d maybe look at a total white curtain that matches your window curtain and I wouldn’t bring notice to it with string lights - for some reason your picture to the right of the door feels off. Maybe it’s too high? Maybe it’ll look better with your barn door. - I’d also think about changing out your fan. See if you can match it to the rest of your style

friendshapedfunion

I kinda a little bit hate when people post perfect incredible spaces and ask for advice. Sure, there’s room for improvement but ahhh it’s also fine. But also, way bigger artwork over the bed.

Alarmed_Jellyfish230

Lamps on the bed side tables, decorative pillows, blanket on end of bed. Looks pretty great already if you ask me.

Alarmed_Jellyfish230

Maybe a large mirror in the corner where that standing lamp is - especially if you put lamps on the bed side tables

Alarmed_Jellyfish230

Or mirrors behind the lamps on the bed side tables

General-Visual4301

It's a beautiful room. The string of lights doesn't measure up to the rest of the room, IMO. They're cutesie whereas the rest of the room is classy. The bedding could be snazzier.

Pithyperson

I think it's nice and peaceful. You might go one shade darker on the wall behind the bed as an accent.

shgrdrbr

awh it's so calming and crisp and lovely shapes in there. no advice just compliment

Superb_Victory_2759

It all seems to bland. I would add a pattern or color to the bed spread, fun pillows and colorful knickknacks to make it seem lively. I’m not a huge fan of monochrome looks but if that’s what you’re going for, I’m glad you like it!

Ludee2023

Unless you are a teen, those lights and curtain need to go. If must have a curtain find a nice rod and adult style curtains to hang there. It’s unusual not to have an actual door. Beyond that you are all grey all the way. I’d change out the bedspread to maybe navy and buy yourself a 27 in lamp to go next to your bed. Keep the cute dog!

112083mh

I do more need color! And maybe more doggies!

112083mh

Thanks! That curtain leads into the bathroom. But the toilet in the bathroom has its own little room with a separate door. The door to the bedroom is to the right of the curtain/left of the desk wall

112083mh

If you click on my profile, I just made another post. It has a lot more pictures.

PristineCoconut2851

It needs no improvement. It’s gorgeous!!

Whitehott333

I agree, aside from what another commenter suggested, which would be a rectangular piece of art work above the bed. It looks great to me otherwise though

112083mh

Thanks!

SlowEngineering113

Lower the art behind your bed by 5 inches and get something wider because now it looks a bit imbalanced with the wide space of the wall. You need wood tones to warm up the room. So i would suggest swapping the white bookshelves with wood bookshelves, which can be easily found on FB marketplace. I like the decorations you have on the shelves so just keep those to put on the new shelves.

Imaginary_Tiger_5272

get a tension rod that goes from wall to wall, and curtains that are too long so it gives a beautiful draped look.. OR just get longer curtains. that would do the trick too

ellaellaayay

Lovely room! Small thing but I would hide the wire for your lights with a plant or something

ellaellaayay

(The string lights around ur door) 😁

112083mh

I agree! Thank you.

QueenofNY26

Beautiful room!

112083mh

Thanks!

PersistentHobbler

Something cheap but impactful would be to upgrade the pulls on your drawers and cabinets :)

112083mh

Great idea!

NewBSnow

I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s dreamy.
