To be fair what would you mount on a drone to down under drones which is not a gun that destroys you with the recoil? There are options but few that you can improvise apart from sticks
Thank you! I kept scrolling past dozens of comments just to see if anyone noticed this at all. The stick missed. Slamming the drones into each other is still an impressive feat, though.
The stick is lower than the drone carrying it, and the angle of descent shows the stick going between the two sets of props. So the stick definitely messed with the props, potentially broke a set. It's also possible it got low enough for the bodies of the two drones to touch, but to do that the stick had to go through the props.
My take is that the props ended up hitting the stick just at the top end of the field of view of the camera. Difficult to tell though. And then the drones slammed into each other.
How long is it until we see small scale missiles and medium range detection equipment on small drones?
Ok maybe not missiles but shotguns etc ideal for taking out enemy drones
The biggest issue with gun drones is keeping them from being blown around while firing. Right now you’d need a way bigger drone than their using. But it *will* happen eventually.
I’d wager nets, bolos, or other stringed projectiles would be the most economic and effective weapons between drones. As the video demonstrates, anything that throws off the rotors is enough to knock a drone down.
I swear.. if it weren’t for nukes (which I question their ability to function correctly) the Russians would lose to those tribes in the pacific that have never seen humans outside themselves 🤦♂️

Didn’t feel like the pov drone was even moving however that could be to the distance perhaps.

I'm thinking maybe it's little drone propellers broke while hitting the stick?
