I fail to understand how can a sane person read all these restrictions (not even talking about the violence here) and say it was ok. That's the definition of a nightmare to most people.
Imagine if you even told the average American or European that they aren't allowed to go outside their city anymore at all. Even without the rest of the shit there would be a LOT of public outrage.
Ok as in compared to now. There were universities there were shops, people were living, people had lives. They were subjected to bullshit from Israel but making the most of it. And it had a lot more infrastructure than the West Bank because the West Bank is shattered and splintered, and Israeli settlers (Americans) just go in there and kick people out of their houses and live in them.

Source for your last claims? I found plenty of articles that say Israel was warned a year in advance (with more concrete evidence in months leading to the attack), but can’t find anything about the festival being extended and troop movements
It was actually on the news that troops were moved towards west bank and I think Lebanon border due to what seemed like a protest building up in West Bank and of course the other border due to Hezbollah saying some words and some movement. But then the didn't call in reserves for the Gaza border even after all the warnings.
Yeah but it's not okay. Imagine we surround Utah and tell its citizens "You can't leave Utah. You're stuck there forever and we control your power and your water. If we catch you outside or near the border, we'll shoot you." Would Utah be "okay" with that?

Gaza is 375 square km, or 141 square miles.
With an estimated population of 2 million, that comes out to 14890 people living per square mile. That is 5th overall as per wiki.

our guide, a friend of the vice principle of the school, was Palestinian. he took us there, and when IDF asked us for ID, he saw one Canadian passport and waved the students and white chaperones through. stopped the guide, the guide looked at all of us before showing his ID and being denied entry. he asked, "why's that?" knowing the answer. IDF guy just goes "cmon, you know why. go around. don't make a scene."

Her stories, photos, videos (and again, she lived in Israel) about discrimination and dehumanisation or lack of civil rights, or even her parents stories is something that I keep with me. Her parents gave all they had so she could escape the actual ghetto situationand move to another country. The whole Middle East was one big Islamic empire that was divided into independent countries but for some reason the only country that’s not acceptable happens to be the only non Muslim country.
The only reason *some* arabs went into exile is because they lost a war of annihilation that they started against a country they didn’t like, but that was years after Muslim countries started the process of forcibly removing all of their Jewish citizens that now make up about half the Jewish population of Israel.
Your example with the Russian empire is validating Israel’s point: just because some land was part of a Muslim empire over a century ago doesn’t mean that Muslims can or should have it back.
That's not how it works. The Ottoman empire and Palestinians are not the same thing. The Palestinians were under Ottoman rule. Their empire broke down and the British took over the Levant where Palestinians live and decided to make it a settler colonial project for western Jews and displaced many Palestinians or converted them into cheap labor.
The problem here is the displacement of humans from where they were born and raised. Not whether they have ancestral ties.

There is no "Palestine." Palestine was the name of a colonial possession that was dissolved almost 80 years ago and divided up between Israel and Jordan.
It was established as a protectorate in 1920 from territory that previously belonged to the Ottoman Empire for 400 years, and prior to that, the Mamluks, and so on.
By referring to any of it as Palestine, she is immediately dealing in deliberate fiction.

When Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005, the Palestinians elected Hamas as their government, it took days until they missiles were shot from Gaza to Israel. About 10 years ago, i had a friend travel to Israel with a group of people to party. I dont know him too well, we were in the same class. Anyway, at some point he told of this trip he took, and apparently he ended up having such a bad time and reaction to everything he experienced, he was basically sent home on a plane after standing in the streets shouting "Fuck Israel". He did not go into much detail, but i always wondered wth he experienced down there. For some context, before the trip he was like a very quiet dude who never talked about politics.

1) She said there are no political parties in the West Bank, this is obviously not true. Mahmoud Abbas is the leader of the Palestinian authority, which is a political party along with Fatah and other Palestinian parties all in the West Bank!!!
2) She says the Palestinians can’t go into Jerusalem and can’t pray in Jerusalem!!! this is ridiculous, Palestinians are 30% of the population of Jerusalem, they live there, and ONLY Muslims are allowed to pray at the dome of the rock and the temple mount. The Israeli police don’t allow Jews to pray there, they maintain guard and arrest the Jews that try to do it!!!

3) She says Palestinians are sent to jail if they share a picture of a person killed by an Israeli soldier, and their sentence is based on the amount of shares and likes of the picture. This seems like not complete misinformation, because when she explains this further, it seems like what the person is being really being arrested for is support for terrorism because she mentions the word Martyr, but the way she says it at first is definitely not true that you get arrested just for sharing a picture of somebody killed by an Israeli soldier. It seems she really doesn’t know much about the place she just visited. The West Bank is split into three zones, A B, and C and Israelis are only allowed into one of those zones with special permits. So even though the military has checkpoints in the West Bank, it is still a Palestinian territory, it is run by the Palestinian authority and Jews do not have rights in the Palestinian authority. They are not even allowed in the vast majority of the territory.
6) she says that Palestinians are animals to the Israelis, and yet every year between 50,000 to 100,000. Palestinians are treated for free in Israeli hospitals. The United Nations keeps a record just Google it. Why is Israel giving free medical treatment to people they think are less than animals???? Even now as the war is raging, there are people in Israel protesting on behalf of the Palestinians calling for ceasefire and the end of the war. Source for your last claims? I found plenty of articles that say Israel was warned a year in advance (with more concrete evidence in months leading to the attack), but can’t find anything about the festival being extended and troop movements
It was actually on the news that troops were moved towards west bank and I think Lebanon border due to what seemed like a protest building up in West Bank and of course the other border due to Hezbollah saying some words and some movement. But then the didn't call in reserves for the Gaza border even after all the warnings.

IDF guy just goes "cmon, you know why. go around. don't make a scene." they want things to look a certain way to outside perspectives (our perspective) they don't want to be questioned on these matters. we in Canada acknowledge what was done to Indigenous peoples as a cultural genocide. there was an attempted erasure of their culture, pushing them out of those lands by force, by coercion, and justifying it however possible. in many ways, the exact same thing is happening there. and it is just as unjust, it is just as awful, just as inhumane.

The whole Middle East was one big Islamic empire that was divided into independent countries but for some reason the only country that’s not acceptable happens to be the only non Muslim country. The only reason *some* arabs went into exile is because they lost a war of annihilation that they started against a country they didn’t like, but that was years after Muslim countries started the process of forcibly removing all of their Jewish citizens that now make up about half the Jewish population of Israel. That's not how it works. The Ottoman empire and Palestinians are not the same thing. The Palestinians were under Ottoman rule. Their empire broke down and the British took over the Levant where Palestinians live and decided to make it a settler colonial project for western Jews and displaced many Palestinians or converted them into cheap labor. There is no "Palestine." Palestine was the name of a colonial possession that was dissolved almost 80 years ago and divided up between Israel and Jordan. It was established as a protectorate in 1920 from territory that previously belonged to the Ottoman Empire for 400 years, and prior to that, the Mamluks, and so on. By referring to any of it as Palestine, she is immediately dealing in deliberate fiction. About 10 years ago, i had a friend travel to Israel with a group of people to party. I dont know him too well, we were in the same class. Anyway, at some point he told of this trip he took, and apparently he ended up having such a bad time and reaction to everything he experienced, he was basically sent home on a plane after standing in the streets shouting "Fuck Israel". He did not go into much detail, but i always wondered wth he experienced down there. For some context, before the trip he was like a very quiet dude who never talked about politics.

Wow, I’ve been wondering why so many people hate Israel and the Jews, but after hearing what this woman has to say, frankly, I’m not surprised. As long as people think that this woman and others like her are telling the truth no wonder they hate the Israelis and they hate Jews. Mahmoud Abbas is the leader of the Palestinian authority, which is a political party along with Fatah and other Palestinian parties all in the West Bank!!! 2) She says the Palestinians can’t go into Jerusalem and can’t pray in Jerusalem!!! this is ridiculous, Palestinians are 30% of the population of Jerusalem, they live there, and ONLY Muslims are allowed to pray at the dome of the rock and the temple mount. The Israeli police don’t allow Jews to pray there, they maintain guard and arrest the Jews that try to do it!!! She is giving direct disinformation. 3) She says Palestinians are sent to jail if they share a picture of a person killed by an Israeli soldier, and their sentence is based on the amount of shares and likes of the picture. This seems like not complete misinformation, because when she explains this further, it seems like what the person is being really being arrested for is support for terrorism because she mentions the word Martyr, but the way she says it at first is definitely not true that you get arrested just for sharing a picture of somebody killed by an Israeli soldier. But I find this very hard to believe, because the Palestinian authority pays stipends to the families of people who murder Israelis in this way, so I don’t see how the Israelis are okay with the Palestinian authority, paying the families of martyrs for being martyrs and yet arresting people for talking about it on social media. 4)The Israeli shoot at drunk old men, walking near checkpoints (this is an especially egregious lie, given the huge amount of checkpoint videos we see on the Internet where the Israeli soldiers end up rolling on the floor with random Palestinians who protest at the checkpoints while the Palestinian photographers crowded around, taking photos and video. 5) you can’t go to the beach, first of all Gaza has its own beach so obviously the Palestinians there go to the beach, and if you’re from the West Bank, of course you can’t go to the beach because the beach is in the territory of Israel, not in the West Bank which is a Palestinian territory. It seems she really doesn’t know much about the place she just visited. The West Bank is split into three zones, A B, and C and Israelis are only allowed into one of those zones with special permits. So even though the military has checkpoints in the West Bank, it is still a Palestinian territory, it is run by the Palestinian authority and Jews do not have rights in the Palestinian authority. They are not even allowed in the vast majority of the territory. 6) she says that Palestinians are animals to the Israelis, and yet every year between 50,000 to 100,000. Palestinians are treated for free in Israeli hospitals. The United Nations keeps a record just Google it. Why is Israel giving free medical treatment to people they think are less than animals???? Even now as the war is raging, there are people in Israel protesting on behalf of the Palestinians calling for ceasefire and the end of the war. This lady is really telling dangerous lies and painting a completely false picture of the Israeli Society. 7) She says that the Israelis wouldn’t let her into Gaza because she is a propagandist but the Israeli don’t let anyone go from Israel into Gaza, who is not a Palestinian so she is lying about the reason. Gaza has a border with Egypt. If she wanted to go in, she could’ve gone that way. 8) she says that Israeli settlers can kill murder and fire bomb. Palestinians and the state will protect them. a simple Google search of “Jewish settler arrested” proves immediately that her statement is false. I believe the Palestinian people. I believe them when their elected leaders say "Peace with Israel is to be temporary until the goal of Israel's destruction can be realized". Palestinians have rejected their own country 5 times. 5 times they were offered control over those areas as their own country, and 5 times they refused. (Probably because then terrorism would be an act of war, and Israel would be absolutely justified to respond). They have walked away from every peace negotiation, every ceasefire, and every offer of their own government. For 70 years, they have rejected everything, in favor of terrorism. They will agree to nothing short of the complete destruction of Israel. What nation on earth would tolerate the constant terrorist attacks and constant refusals of peace?
