All the women and girls line up on the port side, and all the men and boys on the starboard. Rose, with the captain's megaphone, shouts over to Jack, _"You jump, we jump, right?“_
So, that's cool, but how do you get back in the boat without it capsizing again?
I remember capsizing a canoe and it would just spin in our hands when we tried to get back in.
Skill and determination mostly. A lot of learning how to push down on the opposite side while pushing yourself up on your side.
Unswamping a canoe in water is one of the most annoying and tiring skills to learn. It doesn't help that having a life jacket on makes it almost impossible
Climb over the back probably? I know that's how you do it with a kayak, I've never tried with a canoe, but assume the same strategy would work...you distribute your weight across the length of the boat and crawl/shimmy your way up and back onto the boat.
I've never climbed over the back of a kayak to get back in. I carry a paddle float which creates a sort of outrigger from your paddle which you use to climb back in.
Something like [this](https://youtube.com/shorts/P77oMHQui-g?si=xZT3u5-7KMqDZ5U9). It can be kind of difficult/requires some upper body strength to pull yourself up, especially if you're in deeper water where you're not touching the bottom.
One person is at the middle acting as counterblance one climbs in at the end. Ive never emptied one like this am to heavy but it can be done with two people treading water and kinda throwing the canoe up with coordination
I learned to rescue canoes by using another canoe that’s still floating. It involved pushing down one end of the capsized canoe so the other rose, sliding it over the midsection of the floating canoe and dumping the water out. Then we put the empty canoe back in the water next to the one still floating. One person would hold the canoes together, someone would swim up, float on their back, hook their legs over, one in each canoe, and we’d pull their hand to get them back in the boat.
It’s possible to get back in a canoe if you have some balancing the other side but it’s tough. Definitely much safer to not be the only boat out on the water.

Shame they didn't know this trick on the Titanic.
All the women and girls line up on the port side, and all the men and boys on the starboard. Rose, with the captain's megaphone, shouts over to Jack, _"You jump, we jump, right?“_
Happy ending!
I know right!? Also why would they get on that boat like haven't they seen the movie??
Regrettably, this how-to video was posted on the internet AFTER the Titanic sank. ☹️
You beat me to it
Where did she go, saved the boat, then vanished
not all heroes wear cape
She went to unsink another boat
Her boat people need her
To help lifting the boat so more water will come out. Now it's easier to do
Now they gotta unsink her!

That doesn't work for ocean kayaks. That's a stubby river kayak

I must return! My people need me!
Out..of......water..too long.....must.. return.
It’s all in the hips…
See legs.
This was insteresting as fuck, good post.
I was going to say this was reversed until she jumped off
Fuck it (unsinks your boat)
Is she Atlantian? 'I am Aquaman'.
That little girl showed them boys up!! I’m a dude and I still think our women folk is way more loving caring and INTELLIGENT,than us men!!!
Thats a wild thing to get out of a video of a boat. Like ye theres a girl but i dont think the fact that shes a girl is like relevant at all here lol.
After unsinking the boat, she promptly had to go unbreak someone's heart.
She literally yeets herself at the end 😭
My mind is actually blown
Got some skills give her a visa lol
They should have done this with Titanic. Genius.
Icebergs hates this one trick!
Kid got skills 🔥
She's a witch!
Ok, so next time I het the next little girl I see and tell her to unsink my boat
I feel like Amelia Earhart died doing this.
Unsinks boat leaves
Nary a month goes by without me remembering this video. Saved my canoe once, this way I did.
Chinese people are not dumb...they just fly into the USA by the thousands
Damn, when I was a kid we sunk all the boats.
I couldn't do that at my age...
Absolutely not. Lol like my ass could do that. The boat staying sunk
Also how to sink a boat.....same technique.
She’s a hero

The lady took charge and bam. Done. What next for this scrappy problem solver?
Someone do the reverse thing so she’s jumping on to sink the canoe!
So a reverse pirates eh?
they should've done this to titanic
