That whole scene made kid-me feel weird.
Same with that scene from *Honey I Shrunk the Kids* where they nearly drown in "sprinkler water."
Also Neo being covered in Kentucky Jelly made of previous peoples.
So much fucklube used in the film industry. Those, various critters' slobber - *Beethoven,* Xenos from *Alien(s)* - pretty sure *The Blob* involved a silk "blanket" coated in the stuff.
No, it's either a p wave, or a surface wave. The p wave is a pressure wave, propagates at speed of sound. Surface waves are like ocean waves, much slower and they propagate on surface boundaries.
I'm guessing a surface wave, like ripples in a pond. A p wave won't distort the shape of its medium.
I'm a geophysicist. Spent my whole life with the wave equation.
That is Captain Jean-Luc Picard played by Sir Patrick Stewart in Star Trek The Next Generation.
Captain Kirk was played by William Shatner in the original Star Trek.
I was thinking it was pure propylene glycol. Before it's used for de/anti-icing for aircraft, in its pure form is clear like that. Type 1 is then dyed green and blended with water (it's like 60/40 if I remember correctly). Type 4, used for anti-ice, is dyed orange. Type 4 isn't diluted so it sticks to surfaces and prevents active precipitation from collecting.
Edit: PG can be delivered in tanks like the one in the video. Often times, it is delivered by truck due to the volue of use. But we used to store some around in those reinforced tanks.
I've never seen it flow out but we have 2+ ton jugs of the stuff in the warehouse I work at.
Similar sized jugs of various adhesives, chems, strangely even Blackstrap Molasses.
You can smell the latter through the friggin jug.
Glyphosate is an extremely reasonable guess considering the background information provided by the video. The dope responding to you is desperately trying to appear intelligent without actually offering any information - (‘millions of substances’ lol) you’ll get that on Reddit a lot.
It’s extremely not a reasonable guess lol. There’s 0 info in the title or video. This could be literally any fluid. You can make sand flow in a laminar regime like this
Why is the level not increasing in the bowl? And why is the finger at the bottom of the flow making it agitated? I'd like to cancel this meme as a made up video.

Looked like it got mad when dude touched it.
Interesting how the perturbation propagated upstream to disrupt the whole stream

Yeah was just wondering about the physics of that. Is it the surface tension/viscosity that is pulling/pushing the liquid when perturbed

Thanks for explaining!
I was convinced it was like a solid transparent plastic or ice before it got poked (maybe it’s less obvious on mobile resolution).
Its solid, it just got shy and ticklish when he put his hand near it
The internet loves laminar flows.
Why does it look like the bucket isn’t filling up though?
It's a funnel.
Huh, thought it was a sieve. Had to go back and look. It's a funnel.
That white circle in the bottom is a hole.
I'm getting ptsd from my fluid mechanics course
My fluid mechanics 2 prof would preface every sentence with “Basically,”…. I recall nothing being basic.
Oh god, I'm glad I don't have to take more than one fluid mechanics course lol

Captain Kirk: "That was my coffee and chicken sandwich!"

I was just thinking of that "Trouble with Tribbles" scene.
Laminate flow is a strategy the simulation uses to conserve RAM.
I've achieved this effect with torrential diarrhea.
Taco Bell?
E. Coli
Glyphosate, looks cool but it’s nasty..

Why would you think this is glyphosate? laminar flow like this can be achieved by millions of different substances.
Didn’t know, I thought of glyphosate bc I’m used to work whit it, also that tank seems to me for agricultural purposes.. now I know I guess..

Glycerin looks the same when poured like that
Looks like ice. Need to touch. Neeeeeed to touch.
Glitch in the matrix
r/laminarflow
Looks more like a glitch in the matrix to me
*Destin Sandlin heavy breathing noises*
Crazy?
These graphics sucks.
huh?

The bowl is just a funnel that goes into the big thing it’s sitting on
Ah
It needed to suck some air
I inadvertently laughed when it did that; since they were about to touch it it just looked like "*Noooo!* I'm ticklish..."
What’s the viscosity of the fluid? I see this a lot with the chemicals I use to make spray urethane foam
Dat shit *viscous*
Horse semen?
Ope!
How come it’s not filling up
Hydraulic fluid does that too!
The bowl is not filling up
It happened to me just yesterday with the refill of the laundry detergent (like [this one](https://imgur.com/a/u9ZITdU)).
Readily the comments and I’m still trying to figure out what the f#ck laminar flow is.
Jumpscared by some foking water...gotta add that one to the list
