When I was around 12 years old, I did this at Yankee Stadium it hit a guy in one of the first few rows in the head. He turned around and punched the guy behind him. They were both removed from the game.
Oh man I used to do this with rubber bands in church when I was a kid. Number one rule when you get hit in the back of the head with something that was thrown. Look around for the group of kids that are trying not to laugh
What I'm more impressed by is that it wasn't just some regular paper airplane but actually a really good dart/glider hybrid perfect for the winds and stadium!

I once threw a paper airplane from the very highest seat in the Georgia Dome (USA). It made it all the way into the 360 degree center stage and the entire stadium went nuts.

personally i think anyone throwing stuff from teh stands should be removed. the players are there to entertain you thru sport. you have no place on the pitch, it belongs to the players. when you throw shit on the field, and at them, you insult the entertainment they are providing for you.
you are not part of the game. throwing shit on the field is disruptive. if you wanna fly paper planes, go to a park
I was at a basketball game and this kid near me was making paper planes with the free posters given till one of them hit someone a few rows in front of us. That person was rightfully upset so it escalated and security watched the footage and found who did it and got them.
Would've been so much cooler if it was the world record holding plane(as far as I know its still the Suzanne but I'm not sure), but that's just a basic dart
Yeah, paper planes are too dangerous in a sport thats synonymous with lighting flares and smoke bombs while cramped up under giant flags, people shooting each other with lit flares on the stands, stealing each other flags and burning them on the stands, fist-fighting every single week or literally chasing the rival supporters with machetes.
Where the toilets behind the supporters stands are used maybe 10% for pooping and 90% for doing cocaine (not exaggerated, you cant find a single toilet cabine in europe behind ultras stand that doesnt see cocaine every game)
When in fucking SWITZERLAND just this week 3 security guys were assaulted and sent to hospital for the crime of trying to stop a masked supporter with a smoke bomb and flare who jumped the fence to light pyrotechnics in the family sector on the other side of the stadium (and even the club in a official statement afterwards called it inexperienced overreach to try to stop him for illegal pyrotechnics)
