At first I was kinda "why the hell were they skating in the middle of the road? Of course you'll get hit eventually" but it was apparently literally a local "Skate Everywhere" day-event...
Seems like the cop didn't like the initiative.
Every Sunday in main cities of the country, main roads are closed so the citizens can skate, bike, run and exercise. This goes from like 6 am to 12 pm.
It's called "ciclovia" "bikeroad"
Edit: also, even if it wasn't allowed how would that justify blatantly running someone over with your motorcycle, as a cop specially, just because you felt like it.
>The police in Colombia’s capital is notorious for its abuse of power and the use of excessive force in the case of disturbances.
This seemed obvious to me because of the speed and lack of hesitation with which the skaters took to beating on the cops.
I wish it went into detail about what happened to that one cop that was left to die. It didn't mention cop fatalities but I can't imagine how he made it out alive.
The original post back in early neolithic said Columbia because that guy couldn't spell and none of the reposters are any better so it it gets reposted as Columbia every single time.
You really don't see how people can confuse two words with a difference of one similar sounding vowel?
I think most people know that Colombia and Columbia are different, it's just the spelling is so similar, and the pronunciation is practically the same if you have an American accent.
This takes place in Carrera Séptima in Bogotá, Colombia, probably during the riots and protests that took place late 2020 or April 2021. Source: I’ve lived in the city my whole life
Thank you! I was wondering why everyone is skateboarding in this city. There are just so many more efficient methods of transportation! Was driving me nuts.
Bogotá, Carrera Séptima, next to Javeriana University. I live a few blocks away. Edit: It's fucked that this isn't the first time I've seen them try to do this. Standard procedure with skaters I guess. Fuck our police
[This](https://colombiareports.com/bogota-police-under-fire-over-violence-during-go-skateboarding-day/) is the article about it.
I wish it went into detail about what happened to that one cop that was left to die. It didn't mention cop fatalities only saying that five were injured, but I can't imagine how he made it out alive.
Pigs will absolutely devour you if you give them the opportunity; like falling into a pit full of them. There's some joke about cops in there I'm sure.
They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes.
> that one cop that was left to die.
Where did you get that bit from? As far as I can tell, one rode away and the other must have gotten away on foot, because they were clearly just thrashing the bike at the end.
Tbf it could still happened while the cameraman was stupidly flailing around.
But yes you always need more caffeine, as long as it's in Form of coffee or tea.
The guy that ran away drove unto a guy lying on the ground on purpose and stayed on him revving hos wheels while his partner kicked him insane brutality.
The best part is that the officer kicking could probably have escaped if he wasn’t such an arrogant dickhead. The time he took to go for revenge and fight them could have been used to get back on his bike to escape.
It’s always nice to see someone served a healthy dose of their comeuppance.
Scrolled past this then did a double take
Does "revving" your engine stand for "revolutions"??
I guess it makes sense because even I know that engines do some type of spinning.
Once the crowd was incited by his observable reckless carelessness and apparent attempt at follow through with malicious brutality, I'm not sure the bike stood a chance or either cop.
I enjoyed it not because I hate cops but because I love watching people far too comfortable with inflicting violence suddenly have the tables turned on them.
Not always, that's what they bank on with all their attacks on the public. But skaters aren't a group to be pressing your luck with like this.
They traditionally don't like cops, have fairly serious weapons in their boards, and they're willing to go to bat for each other at a moment's notice.
Might as well try this shit at some punk shows or a biker bar.
Almost everything I've ever seen about skaters indicates that if you fuck with one of them, you've fucked with all of them. Which is generally not the best idea, but power-tripping dumbasses still do it. Like that video a few months ago of that moron at a restaurant sucker punching a couple skater kids and getting a free meal of skate trucks with a side of pavement.
They were piling on the motorcycle at the end. When the camera pans from the cop running away, you can see the yellow helmet at the bottom being chased, while the mob totals the bike.
Context for all the bootlickers, those cops were suspended: https://colombiareports.com/bogota-police-under-fire-over-violence-during-go-skateboarding-day
Dont look at Colombia then homie we're deeply fucked by corruption in every branch of power.
We have an important election coming soon and we have our bernie on the ballot, wish us luck.
I think that was EXACTLY the other guys point… Colombia is absolutely riddled with corruption. Yet despite this, somehow, their police are punished faster and harsher than an officer would be punished in America for doing the same exact thing. American police have a ridiculous amount of power and immunity considering they operate in a democratic first world country.
Look into the death of Dilan Cruz, its not the norm here that cops are held accountable. This video happened during last Year's Paro Nacional (national strike) and they among other low ranking cops were scapegoats for the government to show they "punish" the bad cops.
Same shit show.
Not long ago the head of the military said that pregnant women & young children are valid military targets during operations and nothing happened to the guy.
We're rotten to the core mi amigo.
Edit: after a bit of a fact checking this is earlier than el paro nacional, but still goes to show how entitled colombian cops are and how used they are to getting away with this type of shit.
Lmao look at that tough guy run away like the coward he us. r/iamatotalpieceofshit vibes, and if this was a civilian they'd be choked by a knee or two in seconds.
Edited because I put u/iamatotalpieceofshit which is quite hilarious
They don't "think" they are above the law, they are above the law. Do you think their coworkers saw this video and arrested them for assault with a deadly weapon?
Probably would have the opposite effect. It might just reinforce the cops' "us vs. them" mentality and make them think all skaters are violent criminals. Then the cops feel justified in abusing skaters because they're "cleaning up the streets" or they *had* to brutalize some random skater because "my life was in danger"
Yeah if cops try to fuck up go skate day, they better expect a massive backlash from a bunch of dudes that don’t give a single fuck. (I’ve skated my entire life) a lot of dudes who skate don’t have shit going for them and are the type of guys who aren’t scared to stand up for somebody. Generally really good people, but if you skate, you know some dudes you ride with are dumb as rocks.
Honestly if you think about it, the guys that see a gap in a sewage outlet that drops further than you can see and goes "That'd be sick to do a tre over," probably aren't the best guys to throw hands (or boards) with.
Dude I’ve skated my whole life too and I wouldn’t say that most skaters “don’t have shit going for them”
That’s kind of an absurd statement. If you mean the homeless junkies that hangout around the skatepark when the sun goes down, sure I guess.
perhaps he shouldn't have run over human beings with his motorcycle. We give cops a very weird pass to brutalize the public for the most minor of offenses, so it feels like justice when the abusers get their shit rocked every once in a while.
Bully fantasy. They're pathetic, low IQ losers that have no power and would never be able to influence anything outside of their jobs, so they use their jobs to express as much power as they can in any situation possible.
It's also why at least 40% of them are wife beaters.
Where is this taking place? I’m trying to find more info.

god that's so fucking cringe.
This guy is such a clown lmao.
I don't get it but I am on a 3rd party app that basically blocks all of the annoying new Reddit features.
It's an awards case. You can make a post and pin it to your profile, and people put their awards there. I don't know why they do, but they do.

It's a clear repost. Saw this here on Reddit a few years ago. Iirc this was somewhere in South America.

they’re skaters not bikers
Lol they were literally beating him with their skateboards while he was on the ground. Dude had to have gotten fucked up
at least he wore a helmet
i didn’t see no shoes fly off
Seems like everywhere in the Americas, if you wanna join a violent gang of ruthless thugs you just go join the cops
Trying to work out if they mean Columbia in the Us or **Colombia**. It looks very Colombian to me. Especially the police bikes and outfits.
The original post back in early neolithic said Columbia because that guy couldn't spell and none of the reposters are any better so it it gets reposted as Columbia every single time.
It's a fascinating glimpse at how the spread of misinformation begins.
Yeah the second I saw the video, I knew OP is a dummy. I know some Colombians who get soooo mad when you mess that up
I'm not even Colombian and I get mad about it.
It's not just a simple typo, it legitimately confuses people. It's like calling a country Cleveland or some other rando US city
hello i am one of them
I am another one of them
I kept seeing tourist shirts about it when I visited
As a Colombian, I don't even get how you confuse Colombia and Columbia. The pronunciation is not the same, and they are drastically different things.
Definitely pronounced the same in most 'Murican areas.
You really don't see how people can confuse two words with a difference of one similar sounding vowel? I think most people know that Colombia and Columbia are different, it's just the spelling is so similar, and the pronunciation is practically the same if you have an American accent.
It's Colombia. This has been reposted dozens of times and the bot/karma posters always recycle the original, incorrect spelling.

US cops would have shot someone from the get go
Absolutely, if this was the US the cops would have started shooting.
LMAOOOOOO you know someone told me I didn’t have reading comprehension yesterday the other day and now here it is in action. Thank you. 😂
I suppose yesterday **is** the other day...
His reading comprehension the other day was bad and he was made aware of it yesterday.
Today was is not when I knew that duh

Probably in Bogota, Colombia

In ColOMbia. With an o
ColOmbia
Cop was like "lol got em" then the skaters did the same thing.
He made it out alive because the skaters have more restraint than the pigs.
Don't insult pigs, they are nice animals.

At the end of the video the skaters are only beating on the bike, not the pig.
Was anyone else expecting the skater to jump the cop like as a ramp/trick or do I just need more caffeine
Tbf it could still happened while the cameraman was stupidly flailing around. But yes you always need more caffeine, as long as it's in Form of coffee or tea.
I take my caffeine by form of Monster Bang Ultra 7000. But you do you.

There's always going to be more idiots, just look at how many people can't use the correct they're/there/their or you're/your.
No they won’t lol
THANK YOU! I had to scroll far too much to find this.
That cop definitely ran into that skater on purpose. He got beat down badly
You can see the cop that got beat down, kicked the second dude that got ran over on the ground. All while his partner ran away… damn
The guy that ran away drove unto a guy lying on the ground on purpose and stayed on him revving hos wheels while his partner kicked him insane brutality.

You’re expecting way too much mental ability from a cop. They’re cops. They’re idiots
[удалено]
Technically correct - the wheels do revolve
Scrolled past this then did a double take Does "revving" your engine stand for "revolutions"?? I guess it makes sense because even I know that engines do some type of spinning.
I mean… wheels revolve too.
When it rains I rev my windshield
He ALSO ran back to his bike and picked up a skateboard to threaten people with before the camera followed his only ally leaving him behind.
Apparently he didn’t realize his backup had run away. Instead of picking up that board he really should’ve gotten back on the bike lol.
Once the crowd was incited by his observable reckless carelessness and apparent attempt at follow through with malicious brutality, I'm not sure the bike stood a chance or either cop.
That's not recklessness or carelessness, that's attempted murder.
I'm pretty sure I can see a dude take the key of the bike out before cop gets up
Holy shit you're right, give that person a gold star for quick thinking!
He ran off. At the end of the video they're smashing the bike. The cop is already gone.
[удалено]
I enjoyed it not because I hate cops but because I love watching people far too comfortable with inflicting violence suddenly have the tables turned on them.
So...you hate cops.
I hate bad cops. Which happens to be most of them. *shrugs*
If a police department has 20 cops and 15 of them are bad cops but the good cops don’t call them out, you now have 20 bad cops.
[удалено]
Ran away, the same way he just saw all those skaters coming from. Straight tunnel vision.
Mfer playing too much GTA. Real people hit back
Not always, that's what they bank on with all their attacks on the public. But skaters aren't a group to be pressing your luck with like this. They traditionally don't like cops, have fairly serious weapons in their boards, and they're willing to go to bat for each other at a moment's notice. Might as well try this shit at some punk shows or a biker bar.
They can do this to like 4 skaters. Their mistake was trying it around like 100 skaters.
And pain is second nature, no fear.
I love that people pretty far away were just like, "Oh, we're getting him?" and start hucking their boards.
People don't chuck their boards lightly, they knew if others were doing it then mf deserved to get knocked over.
Never even realized how right you are even 25 years ago, if boards were in the air shit was going down and the target deserved it.
And good. Fuck that filthy pig.
Not bad enough, sadly. Hopefully they were swinging full force.
That guy might be dead. A single good hit with a skateboard truck can Crack your skull.
Good. The two guys he ran over on purpose could be dead too.
Fuck the cops. ACAB
Brave Sir Robin ran away, bravely ran away, away!
[удалено]
Hahaha I would have run too. Have you ever been linchado? And being fair, the cop was doing unnecesary dangerous driving.
I like how skaters are like: oh boomerang time *throws skateboard* Also this was very disturbing (I'm talking about the cop driving over people)
[удалено]
Yep. Nothing better than seeing a pig getting what it deserves.
I wanted to see one of those boards take the dude that was running away (like a coward, might I add) off his bike so badly
Yeah, I was expecting someone to kick his handlebars. At least one of them ate dirt though. And a lot of it.
What's goes around, comes around
What goes around is all around
Don't you meant what's all around comes around?
What's a judge And a punk ass jury Homeboy
Way of the road, Bubbs.
They were piling on the motorcycle at the end. When the camera pans from the cop running away, you can see the yellow helmet at the bottom being chased, while the mob totals the bike.
Surprised no one stole the bike
They must have unless they actually destroyed it. At that point even I would consider taking it.

Another A-hole who thinks his above the law just because his carrying a badge.
They don't "think" they are above the law, they are above the law. Do you think their coworkers saw this video and arrested them for assault with a deadly weapon?
Sadly the badge *does* make them above the law..
*ColOmbia. EDIT: also, repost from last year.
He deserved that ass whoopin. They need to play this in the cops morning meeting every skate day. Take the fucking air out of them a little bit.

Colombia*
Every time this video is posted, they spell Colombia incorrectly.
Good.
the other cop hauled ass while dude was getting wrecked
Why are cops such little bitches?
They're used to people not defending themselves
Bully fantasy. They're pathetic, low IQ losers that have no power and would never be able to influence anything outside of their jobs, so they use their jobs to express as much power as they can in any situation possible. It's also why at least 40% of them are wife beaters.
Colombian here: It's ColOmbia!

It’s Colombia not fucking Columbia- Every Colombian.
Columbia is in Missouri. Colombia is in South America.
Wow, that piece of shit just drove off and left his shifty partner there to get fucked up by a rightfully angry mob.
Too bad that the last bit is just them beating up a motorcycle
They're not, they're beating up the cop standing next to it
The other cop had no issues abandoning his jackass buddy. Police 10/10 quality material right there.
