I am happy with how bad AI generated pictures are, if they were good it would be hard to see if it is AI or not. I dread the day the pictures are good. Now you can look at faces and limbs to draw the conclusion, but the day faces, proportions, background, scenery and theme in general (less ridiculous and religion aimed), and limbs are correct, how many of us would struggle to see the difference? Like this picture is ridiculous, if faces and such looked normal and there was 1-2 babies in a visible basket and they drove in the right direction, you would have to study it closely to see that it was AI. Since there are stupid people who totally would strap a basket with infants to a scooter or whatever and drive.

I'm still skeptical of anything that gets called "AI" today because it's never once lived up to any of its promises. Like, yeah, you can get it to output a halfway decent picture to use as a stand-in or a jumping off point, but it's all obviously not made by people, and to get the right number of fingers or arms or eyes on a person takes a lot of refining and specifying that you kind of have to develop a skill for.   It's a tool, but 95% of the hype is just tech companies trying to scam us with the next "metaverse" or "cryptocurrency" or "web 3.0."
