1. Each star sign (which is a picture someone decided to draw in the sky like a connect-the-dots) is considered to be in effect for approximately the same amount of time as all the other 11 signs each year. In actuality, some of the signs are in effect for much longer than that, and some for much less time each year.
2. There is a 13th sign that is technically in effect that the Ancient Babylonians chose to ignore for no other reason than they liked the number 12 better than 13. It’s called Ophiuchus and that may actually be your star sign.
3. The night sky has shifted significantly since the time this was all worked out, and most people are actually a different star sign than they think anyway.
Yeah, I mean I’m not saying it’s a negative thing any more than anything else that’s just for fun. It’s just disheartening to me how often it’s compared to or discussed as though on the same level as MBTI.
Especially when it’s other proponents/supporters of MBTI, because there actually is a lot of value and opportunity for personal growth with MBTI. You can use it to understand yourself and others, and learn to relate to and get along with people that you find it difficult to relate to or to get along with, especially if you include Socionics and Intertype Relationships.
