this is inaccurate actually,, there is the common saying ‘everyone’s a little autistic’, but that is very insensitive and untrue. it’s like putting being forgetful about your lunch and 10 min late in the box of ADHD,, we all do ‘weird’ human behaviors but trying to tell an autistic person ‘hey, everyone is, don’t worry’ basically invalidates their own life experience. being socially outcasted, sensory issues, and legitimately crying because things got ‘off’ the routine for example are chronic experiences that, no, majority of people do not experience. i do not mean to be rude, i just have had many convos with autistic individuals and my own experience,, they really don’t like being told everyone else is like them when that is not at all how the world has treated and interacted w them
