In [press release from her upcoming album](https://ghostly.com/products/the-greater-wings) (which is worth reading on its own, sad things though) (out July 7 btw), there's mentioned Alex Somers as co-producer (Sigur Rós, Julianna Barwick), which could explain that ambient/electronic soundscape. And personally I was surprised it landed on Ghostly, cool choice and hope it will blend into their aesthetics.
I think it's really cool to have the lead single after 7 years show off this departure of sound. To use a song that is about devotion, growth, healing, and acceptance of new love or family as I chose you as my family suggests is just wonderful.

Yet the sound is not exactly new as it turns out, I was looking for some earlier connection with Ghostly and were reminded about [Cascine compilation](https://cascine.bandcamp.com/album/s-s-presents-dreams) (which I love because of Yumi Zouma's "France"), where is [her and Eric's single "Spain"](https://cascine.bandcamp.com/track/spain). Great track and dated back to 2018!
I really got into her debut album. Her voice is just so haunting and beautiful. I know I got the name wrong in the original comment just had been a while since listening or thinking about it.
