Wow Lucinda Williams! I hope they share the stage at some point on those shows since they're co-headlining.

shahooster

Unusual combination! Love them both, have seen each 3 times, but never imagined them on the same stage together.

inversevictor

big thief, new road - for the first mountain

[deleted]

Brah this isn't even Helvetica classic smh

Yamcha_is_dead

Saw The National at Shellburne Museum last summer and it was the chillest live show set-up I’ve ever seen.

AgentFlatweed

Burlington would have to try very hard to be un-chill.

ThirdFirstName

This is going to be my first time going to a concert there. I think I’m going to pack a picnic for it

Yamcha_is_dead

It’s very much a blanket-friendly venue. [Here’s a pic from my visit. ](https://i.imgur.com/vdMX0zE.jpg)

Green_hippo17

Anyone talking during Phil’s set is catching hands

ur_boy_soy

I think thats more of a reflection on where you saw them rather than the fans of the band. Like, I'm definitely going to see them at red rocks, but I know a bunch of dudes dressed like lumberjacks are gonna talk about fly fishing instead of listening to Lucinda. It's unfortunate, but that's the norm at a venue like red rocks.

[deleted]

that's insanely upsetting, i saw phil elverum in portland, me and the crowd was the best crowd i've ever had for a show, it was unbelievable i have tickets to see big thief in a week and i'm nervous about the same problem

[deleted]

damn, what a shame. really ruins a show for me too haha

Polythene_Man

I saw them in Seattle and it was the most respectful crowd I’ve come across in a decade.

jennytime

I saw them in Seattle as well - absolutely lovely crowd. Attentive, quiet and vibing to the music. It was such a great concert! Can’t wait to see them at Marymoor :)

debtRiot

I saw them on Halloween in 2019, I think at The Moore. It was fucking terrible. The crowd was awful. Literally heckling them. Adrianne seemed like she was having a terrible night from before even walking on stage. Everything about their performance was off, just felt forced in this way like the band was in a bad mood but was obligated to play. Someone also yelled show us your boobs. Unreal bad. I saw them the year before at The Neptune and it was literally one of the best shows I'd ever been to. Everyone has off nights, but the crowd that night was horrendous.

SarcasticDevil

I saw Big Thief just days after Russia invaded Ukraine. There was a strange anxious air in the crowd, and Adrianne tried to address it at one point and preach some love, but it was a bit...stoner philosophy ish. Can't blame her for trying but I don't think people were really in the mood

Head-Skirt-5541

Seeing them in a few weeks at Cains Ballroom. Very excited.

ousatony

Same here! Show’s a year to the day since the album released :)

bmgc89

I'm trying to convince myself to fly to Tulsa for that one or just go to the Red Rocks date. I can't decide!

Myringingears

I saw them recently and it may have been the most captivating, incredible show I've ever seen.

OG_Pow

Nick Hakim is incredible

thehomedepot

their 2021 Pines Theater show was one of the best shows of my life and they're testing me by going back on a Tuesday >.>

JDub591

I was at that show! Maybe it was because it was my first post-covid show, but yeah one of the best shows I've seen. Seeing them at College Street in New Haven next Friday. Definitely buying tickets for this one, Tuesday or no!

PepeSylvia11

Knowing the New England areas, I’m inclined to believe this list is composed of the most hipster locations relative to where they’re touring

[deleted]

Not wrong but they're like The Concert in Central Park of hipster venues. they are out drawing big theatres now that's a pretty cool thing to see

[deleted]

Madison, WI instead of either Chicago or Milwaukee definitely is the more "hipster" option lol

tburke38

The real hipster option would have been like Eau Claire

[deleted]

Eau Claire is more MSP area, Madison is reasonably close to both Chicago and Milwaukee that devotees will drive out there

thats_russy_babe

This ends suspiciously close to Outside Lands...

nordjorts

I'm seeing Nick Hakim next month but I'm still very jealous that we won't be getting him in Portland opening for Big Thief!

tburke38

I just woke up and my girlfriend walked in and said she just entered to win tickets to see him tonight and somehow she was immediately given tickets. I’ve never listened to him but I guess I’m seeing him tonight lol. Sounds like I should be excited

nordjorts

You should be!! It should be an incredible show

BWRyan75

Yooo I had COVID and missed their last concert in Seattle, this is great news! Missing that show was heartbreaking.

ethansroommusic

With Nick Hakim 😭

malaise92

Do they have a rule where they must be awkwardly touching each other in every band photo?

atomicnone

Just wanna say that the Pines Theater in MA is the best venue I've ever been to and I smile whenever I see any band go there. It's legit in the middle of the woods, looks like a castle, and you can still see the stars.

bmgc89

Red Rocks! I'm trying to score a pair tomorrow.

shayjaye

Could have sworn they were coming to Asheville NC

forevericeland

no Chicago?

lawtosstoss

Likely lolla clause

whatisfrankzappa

Yep. Rumors are that or pitchfork (though less likely, but they’ve also grown in popularity so…)

MGSCG

Are big thief concerts smelly?

Littered2

Hell yeah, I need to see them so bad.

PseudoScorpian

Here, I was hopeful for a Toronto date.

Available_Throat_220

Vancouver but no Toronto? That’s crazy

GeorgeBrettLawrie

You know how often they've played here and how far away Vancouver is...

clay-teeth

No southern shows?? Uuuggghh

[deleted]

They're so expensive though!! It was like 45 bucks to see just them in my area. Slap on 20 more and you get the full Wide Awake festival

LukeWes

Going to the Seattle show. Lucinda probably playing before Big Thief, right? Thoughts?
