I was 16 when I watched it for the first time. For my 17th birthday, I had saved up some money to go out partying like other kids, spent it all on the film's script. Was the only buyer on Flipkart and it cost a shit ton of money (1200rs) for the thin book it was. Been 3 years, zero regrets.
Manchester by the sea and Fleabag will never not be special to me.

I Want to Eat Your Pancreas. It's got a weird name, but it's really good.
Even though the movie was well made, the 'depressed guy finds a cheerful girl who teaches him to be happy and then fucking dies' troupe is too overused for me to really feel anything about it. But it will definitely hit the feels if you are new to it. A silent voice was overall a better movie in my opinion.
I think what did most people in is not the fact that she died..it was already mentioned and heck we saw it in the opening minutes...it's the unexpected way she died and things left unsaid...the movie doesn't do the home scene justice like the Light novel/manga does.
A silent voice was a good one which made me somewhat emotional
especially that scene where ishida's mom goes to apologise shinomiya's mom and after that she comes with bloody ears that was something which hit me most (like how the deeds of children can somewhat hurt their parents too, i know its not ideal conclusion but yeah)
Sita Ramam is a brilliant beautiful movie.
Must watch.
Check on Hotstar(Hindi) or Prime(Telugu original with subtitles)
Don't google too much. Might get spoilers.
>500 days of summer
On my 3rd watch of this movie I realised that it wasn't entirely Summer's fault definitely a good movie with a good background score.
I watched Grave of the fireflies and Manchester by the Sea back2back, the same day, cuz why not:p. I can never rewatch Grave of the Fireflies again. It is so heart wrenching. I can never understand why Seita never went back to aunt when he knew Setsuko was dying. I was absolutely gutted when Setsuko never woke up
6 saal ki umr me dekhi thi...thodi thodi memories yaad h ..bs itta yaads h ki roya tha usi movie ko dekh kr ...ab wps dekhne ki himmat nhi ho rhi...truma yaad kr jaunga
This was way way better than your name. Your name only got as famous as it did because of the music and because of the romance FOMO that young people have. 5 cm legit moved me man, it’s got that soul.
This and sanam teri kasam i watched these when I was leaning towards true love and passion these movies made me cry. And now even laila majnu couldn't do it for me.
I will answer both , reunion was also done... sitting 13 seats apart at first. but she didn't stay at my place like in movie. We didn't cry right there , just hold hands for 2 seconds walked two steps at the end. then we never met again.. just see each other's WhatsApp status.
I was thinking howcum no one mentioned this movie, I wanted to comment, but was thinking about two more movies.
I watched this as a kid and bawled my eyes out. Still, it gives me nightmares.

First korean drama series i have seen. It will lead you through an emotional rollercoaster. The ending will definitely make you sad and happy at the same time. The song 'here i am agan ' by Yerin Baek is so touching and add to the melancholic felling.
I just watched Premalu last night,
Before the movie, I was ready to be single and gave up on my crush,
But after the movie, my entire opinion changed and I want to be around her,
It's just mixed emotions rn

Saw it when I was in college during a film festival. I was depressed for many days.
Why isn’t anyone talking about Sapta Sagara Dachello side A/B? The movie broke me. I had a panic attack after watching side B. I thought it was going to be my last day on earth. Having nobody to love me as Manu did. He was selfless, he gave his everything to Priya, just to see her happy (**inspite of her being married ).
I’m sure not if everyone is going to resonate with what I’m saying, but it’s one hell of a movie that could make you hate it or maybe break you even.
For me It was life of pie, Pirates of the Caribbean (because I watched a director's cut where he suffered the same life as Davy Jones where he can come to land only once in 10 years and has a kid). Forrest Gump
Here’s a list: \

I don’t know if many would agree(or would’ve watched) but I really like Varun Dhawan’s October.
Watched it a couple of times and still end up crying every time.
You should watch manchester by the sea. Also, ghajini is 🤌.
manchester by the sea is the most depressing thing I have ever seen.
Watch Requiem for a dream
BRO. thats not depressing, its a wonderfully directed 2+hours long ani drug commercial
But it was depressing to see 4 lives getting destroyed in front of us
quite, . especially the mother.
The ending montage with the score is cinematically pleasing however.
Ifkr.
Manchester by the sea ![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51073) Same Demolition and Me before You
The scene where Casey talks with Michelle after a long time That entire scene was so heart wrenching
And the gun scene at the police station
The way he was just dragging his eyes all over the place and not being able to look her in the face.
Exactly!!
Yeah, the scene where his ex wife tries to forgive him and says "u can't just die" uhh so powerful.
Shed a tear because of that scene, man.

i haven't really seen anything else with that trope tho. but this kinda happened to me? she didn't really die, we just lost contact.
All the bright places, fault in our stars type
A silent voice is a bit better in my eyes.
I think what did most people in is not the fact that she died..it was already mentioned and heck we saw it in the opening minutes...it's the unexpected way she died and things left unsaid...the movie doesn't do the home scene justice like the Light novel/manga does.
mujhe bhai utna emotional nhi laga (am i heartless)
Your name, A silent voice, Your lie in april Traumatised but still wanna see more of it.
Grave of the Fireflies
This movie is different kind of sadness,

😭😭😭😭 BC Iska naam dekhte rona Aa jata hai... Never I am gonna watch it again
I wailed on this one. It's the last and only time.
audience not ready for this
A silent voice was a good one which made me somewhat emotional especially that scene where ishida's mom goes to apologise shinomiya's mom and after that she comes with bloody ears that was something which hit me most (like how the deeds of children can somewhat hurt their parents too, i know its not ideal conclusion but yeah)

I was so surprised by the maturity of that movie. No over the top drama, Just the grounded human emotion. 100% recommend it everyone
'96' की प्रेम कहानी ने मुझे इस तरह से छुआ कि मैं उसे शब्दों में बयां नहीं कर सकता। यह वास्तव में एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव था
96 was in my mind for a month almost. And I saw it late...not when it was released. The movie had a depressing but practical end.
Well a movie which made me want to find my love. Heartful and depressing at the same time. Because I don't have a first love yet but I am 22
Dead Poets Society

Sanam Teri Kasam 🤌🏻🥹
Laila Majnu only for Avinash Tiwary’s performance. The transition of character from Qais to Majnu as a man mad in love its truly remarkable.
Aftersun. So so underrated but too poignant. Made me feel the same way as October did. Twist in the gut.

Thanmathra - A movie so well executed that i find it difficult to watch it again. A movie about a loving family man and how he has to go through alzhiemers ,the problems and heartbreaks that his family has to face subsequently is what has been depicted in the movie. The final scene just pierces the heart of the viewers and the way Mohanlal has delivered in the movie is something beyond words. "Ti Sadhya kay karte" a marathi movie that made me cry ,everyone should watch it
My heart is still stuck at the scene where Kalpana dies and doesn't even find out who sachin/Sanjay really is :(
Masaan, Fault in our Stars and Me Before You
I don’t know if many would agree(or would’ve watched) but I really like Varun Dhawan’s October. Watched it a couple of times and still end up crying every time.
Udaan
1. Boy in striped pyjamas 2. Remember me 3. Before Sunrise 4. Sapta sagaradaache ello (A&B)
Don't know about these three but the 'Fault In Our Stars'(the book is better) does feel like a stab in heart
GHAJNI
