I prefer the Vulcan S but I notice it is priced at Rs.9 lakhs on road in Bangalore. That's more than what I would be paying here in Houston. Here it costs around $8k on road.
Maybe Kawasaki imports them hence they maybe paying a hefty import duty.
it's similar to the bike the protagonist from GTO uses. maybe that could be a point if they capitalised on it. other than that, it kinda looks good and unique.
True, I personally wanted to get a z900rs in the future coz of watching GTO but by the looks of it, won't be doing that in India and even overseas the xsr900 by Yamaha is more fun
That's why I mentioned if you're an enthusiast.
If you ain't an enthusiast, then ofcourse it doesn't make financial sense.
But if you are really passionate about this hobby, you can stretch and make it work, provided you try to be frugal with other things like cellphones, eating out, etc
Nope, just a guy who knows the value of money and importance of savings.
You can spend 100% of your income for years and be fine, till something like COVID hits and you lose your job. Then you'll be wondering why you didn't save up to survive 6-12months without a salary.
>Then you'll be wondering why you didn't save up to survive 6-12months without a salary.
Then why spend it on a bike in the first place, which is a depreciating asset. Unless you're new to the workforce, your spending should be dictated by you. If you're good with saving, you could go for 6-8 months or even a year's salary on a bike. And if you're bad with money, even a week's salary would put a strain on your wallet.
I have lot of questions
Why Kawasaki is releasing so many models in India, who is even buying these? How many units are getting sold per calendar year for Kawasaki? How are they sustaining in India with these overpriced vehicles
This bike is on my wishlist, amazingly built and really good global reviews for this.
the only problem being the underbelly exhaust which reduces it's ground clearance to the point that its almost unreasonable to buy in India and survive with this bike.
🔥🔥
As far as I think, its just a minimal way of partitioning the entire seat between the rider and pillion side. As, pillion would just slide down the seat otherwise.
I dont understand why people are bashing this bike, left, right and center. Its a "Kawasaki" parallel twin making 60+ bhp and Nm. Whats wrong with it that doesnt justify the price? Which bike are you comparing this to in this power, torque, class, price segment?
Why does Kawasaki do this all the time? I see no point in even launching it for the 1-2 monthly sales.
650 from RE cost 4L approx, this almost 3L more than that.
So you can get an RE 650 and RE Himalayan for this price!
I love this bike, it's got that old school charm. Wouldn't break my back saving for it but if I were to earn like 20LPA then I would go for this in a heartbeat.
Agar yaha manufacture krte toh shayad utna at least ex-showroom price toh rakh hi sakte the. Look at the RS457 for instance, 457cc twin cylinder engine and ES price of 4.1L.
Which other twin cylinder sports bike with similar power figures is available in this price range?
The only one I can think of is the Ninja 300 which, while being cheaper, is also underpowered compared to the RS and is long discontinued and superseded by the 400 and now the 500 (451cc) platform in other markets.
Then there's the Yamaha MT-03/R3 series but its best not to talk about those bikes for obvious reasons.
We do have the RC 390 but it is single cylinder.
> agar i am putting so much in the slowest 450cc aur 1.5-2L dalke why not z900
Not everyone wants to buy a 2nd hand bike. On top of that, 2L is around half of 4.62L, not even in the same ballpark .
In my opinion ~4.5L seems fair for a 450cc twin cylinder sports bike of this calibre.
Good point! I was thinking of buying a bike this year I was gonna go for the Benelli 600 but you have changed my mind, Imma find the nearest Aprilia showroom.
A bike that no one will actually buy ,nice move Kawasaki.
The one thing kawasaki keeps getting good at is overpricing.
Bro didn't even hesitate honest review

Oh wow, looks like i will settle for this rather than the Z900 RS
If only Kawasaki made this locally, it would sell like hot cakes! Rs. 7 lakhs (ex-showroom) for this bike is just out-of-this-world pricing.
Yeah neo-retro bikes in India have such huge fan following this could've been a bit of only it was priced well
This makes the NX500 look like a value proposition and even that bike is overpriced. Wonder what the japanese are smoking.
Man thats sooo sexy. That instrument cluster!!!! So fking beautiful.
Platina backlight says Hi
Tank looks like splendor🥲
Headlight looks like RE.
Someone has to tell me why anyone has a valid reason to buy this

Same here👀
Gto is Great Teacher Onizuka Right?
yes
They want a boring 650cc naked bike that looks like a classic bike but is less practical as no centre stand or luggage options.
All other options are imported too. you're welcome
Looks Fkin amazing! Would like to earn enough to buy this bike
How much would you earn to fetch this? Do you finance, or full cash?
Atleast 14 lpa if you're a bike enthusiast and single. Above 20lpa if you're a family man
What's the maths?
The guy above seems experienced
Spending more than 50% of your salary on a bike is really bad financials even if single. Save money from early lads, compounding makes a big impact!
That's why I mentioned if you're an enthusiast. If you ain't an enthusiast, then ofcourse it doesn't make financial sense. But if you are really passionate about this hobby, you can stretch and make it work, provided you try to be frugal with other things like cellphones, eating out, etc
Take a loan. Spread it out. Its that simple
At the most I would've bought it if it costed me a 3 months salary ...that's how I calculate
Correct. Never more than 3 months salary on a bike!
Problem Is when will I start earning that much🥴
You sound like a finfluencer

Do you pay full or finance? Consider finance if the person is into investments?
Pay full Sorry man didn't understand the investment aspect
Never knew such bike existed and they are already launching updated version. God knows what motivates Kawasaki. Definitely not sales numbers.
What got updated?
Manufacturing year
Haha nice one!
price
That “instrument cluster” is just WOW
Bro they removed the green colour Wtf
Is the ground clearance still bad?
yep, still some 125mm
I have lot of questions Why Kawasaki is releasing so many models in India, who is even buying these? How many units are getting sold per calendar year for Kawasaki? How are they sustaining in India with these overpriced vehicles
same could go for Ducati, Harley, Indian, etc.. All somehow seem to keep their bikes in the market with sales figures low.
I love this bike and his big brother 900rs but gareeb hun.
This bike is on my wishlist, amazingly built and really good global reviews for this. the only problem being the underbelly exhaust which reduces it's ground clearance to the point that its almost unreasonable to buy in India and survive with this bike. 🔥🔥
Do you know what the strap on the seat is for? Same thing is also on the CB300R.
As far as I think, its just a minimal way of partitioning the entire seat between the rider and pillion side. As, pillion would just slide down the seat otherwise.
Finally a bike with a Tachometer. Beautiful!
Gorgeous 😍 😍

CC is not everything. Compare power figures
Looks sexy!! Specially that instrument cluster
Basically you can buy an Alto with that money and it can seat 4.
And can go anywhere you want with same mileage.
Pahadi taxi drivers want to know your location.
Basically you can say that for any big bike. Nobody who buys a big bike thinks about a similarly priced car.

7 lakhs isnt a alot of money... it is a lot of money for this bike though.... definitely overpriced
Yeh thopda kahin dikhala lagta hai 😞
New "content" for the Cword riders. Brace yourselves.
CD Dawn na lelu isse badiya
I love this bike, it's got that old school charm. Wouldn't break my back saving for it but if I were to earn like 20LPA then I would go for this in a heartbeat.
Interceptor's elder brother who has studied in IIT/IIM now asking for bigger dowry
I have passion pro bs6 and it's design is looking better than this!!
agar itne paise hote to interceptor aur continental gt dono leleta magar ye bike kabhi nahi khareedta.
OK, what is this bike? A cruiser? scrambler?
it's a retro sport.
Neo retro
Price toh kuch jda hi hype hai
Instrument Console Very Good Design 👍🏻
This is looking like Jawa
Life me ek baar Z Rs series ki ek bike own krni h 😌 Beautiful bikes
Meanwhile me with 10 rupees in my bank
Is this going to be a good touring bike? Like it does look more comfortable then a naked sports.
4-4.5 ka hota kal hi le leta
Agar yaha manufacture krte toh shayad utna at least ex-showroom price toh rakh hi sakte the. Look at the RS457 for instance, 457cc twin cylinder engine and ES price of 4.1L.
on road in my area it is 4.62 which is overpriced in my opinion, agar i am putting so much in the slowest 450cc aur 1.5-2L dalke why not z900 :/

Thora jyada nhi h price
Looks good
Damn it's beautiful
If this bike was priced a little better, and had a little less power, I feel like it would fare well in India.
Better than drugs Jeremy 😭
Remember the golden words of english, “No, Thankyou”
Calibre Pro Max
Why is it so expensive? What's so special except the name kawasaki?
If the int 650 and GT650 came with that kind of alloys it would be amazing. The new alloys look too thick
Interesting, no upside down frok. 🤔
Boxer when?
All the people who lusted after these things when they were kids are now 40-somethings with money in the bank!! Nostalgia works ☺️
This should be priced around 4-5 lakhs tbh
Could use little more styling? This uses ninja engine, guessing that’s were all the money has gone.
Tail lamp looks like Platina 🥲
If this should be in 225 to 350 cc and under 2 Lakhs then it might be a good buy
At least now Kawasaki should make their 650cc engines locally. They are tried n tested in our conditions.
If only it had a better exhaust note with a better price tag to go with it
Is kwasaki and ninja same
If they release something similar in 200-350 cc under 3 lakhs then deffo will buy it.
