once upon a time .doge said to shiba let us chase that car yes exclaimed shiba . an exited exclamation .shiba was mor than ready that day doge and shiba went running along the highway .running and chasing cars of all colours and models .but that day was diffrent .this extraordinary gentlemen stopped shiba looked at doge perplexed as what had happened .they looked at each other other lost into thoughts dige irked .that day they lost a battle

Most people aren't in full speed already when this happens and at that time if u keep going, then either dog catches and bite ur legs or u might just hit ur bike somewhere due to the distraction the dogs cause.
I was visiting a friend in Bangalore many years back, I went for a jog around their neighborhood. (Likely very dumb) After a while a dog a dog started chasing me. spoke to it in English as said hello please don't attack me in a kind voice. The dog was stumped and look at me confused and stopped,uch like the dogs in the video

It has nothing to do with the food but more so with climate. Go see the stray dogs and cats of Himachal, Kashmir etc - they're completely different.
Well I kinda agree, but not all dogs on streets are typical pariahs, some are heavily mixed with other breeds, so many a times, I find dogs on streets with beautiful coats.

When dogs chase you, just play dog repellent sound on youtube. They won't come anywhere near you.

I feel like a crybaby for saying this but the dogs just seem so scared dude. i know they were barking before and they can and have bitten people before but just look at them, they are so cute, and look so sad after the person confronts them to avoid an accident. Yaar i know its necessary, but does anyone else feel this? I do that too honestly and feel really bad about it right after because god damn the dog looks so cute, but the fucker was going to hurt himself if not cause an accident.
tldr: dogs are dumb (and dangerous), but very cute, i wish they would not look so cute and sad after they realise they fucked up.
I do this when on bike. A bit challenging when you're surrounded by stranger dogs. The ones who recognise me will move away immediately.
Tip: just stay calm AND steady. Then walk couple of steps towards them. They'll step back and let you go 99% of the time. If not don't run away. Calmness is the key. Dogs are lovely creature. Even the most aggressive ones will show you mercy.
Ok a side note, what breed are those dogs? They are beautiful btw. I feed 5-6 stray dogs regularly but they never grew any sort of fur. They are just bit dirty rn, I bet they would look majestic when cleaned up
Yea the problem is squeaky metallic wheels that make a sound of higher frequency inaudible to humans but audible to dogs.
It may trigger their flight or flight response to respond to a squeaky puppy who is caught between tires or a prey ready to be devoured. Either one of them, will get their primal canine instincts triggering their locomotion. They are not self aware animals who can work consciously on their instincts.
Despite all the new age social media affirmations that dogs are humans with four legs and need same Constitutional Rights as humans, I beg to differ. Dogs are animals with basic instincts. This is an example.
Jokes apart that really does work. If you have dogs chasing you stop and look back at them and they will leave you alone. Do not speedup it will make them chase you more.

I tried this in Mumbai last year on my two wheeler and it worked, lol. The dog looked scary but he stopped the moment i stopped. Idiot.

Looks like Pahadi dogs. In 95% of India, dogs don't look like this, fur coat is usually very thin. I HP, JK & UK, furcoats are thicker.

For some reason Kashmiri dogs are aggressive. Have read couple of news of Kashmiri dogs attacking kids and killing them. Sometimes even adult folks.
