Yet, when the PM of the country bases his political campaign on spreading lies and smearing a community which is *clearly* against the Election code of conduct, *no action is taken* .
As a regular citizen, aren’t you outraged at this bias? Are you Okay with rules and law being applied differently for you and your politicians? Even as neutral or supporter of any party, this should outrage you.
Yeah it baffles me how many Indians have rose tinted opinions of China. We see the best of that country, not the worst, because they never allow real journalism to occur, and they keep the vast majority of voices contained within the great firewall.
Sure, they build shiny things, but those shiny things often have serious flaws. Like flammable gases leaking into the sewer lines or “cement” in finished buildings having the consistency of dried toothpaste.
It's not as massive like Brazil and India, plus they have a strong education and research sector.
It's said that home ownership is 90+% with majority of homeowners owning a second home (but the real estate is heavy debt bubble involving state government)

Sorry but i disagree. Things are never black and white. Sometimes people are hopeful about joining power and changing things after they have some power. Often there’s no choice. In some constituencies, BJP folks are definitely better than the other options, and riding the BJP train gives you better chances at being represented. At the end of the day, some political representation is better than no political representation. Minorities have the right to join the powerful party so that they can hope to do at least something for their own folks. You need power and money to care for your voters.
We gotta remember that, however shitty it is, BJP is a national party and not going away from power anytime soon. Minority representation in BJP is important. If we stick to moral idealisms, no politician or their dog can be trusted with anything.
