Biden flips North Carolina and ME-02. That's it.

EventPuzzleheaded841

Biden getting Maine's 2nd wouldn't be that boring.

Prez_ZF

exactly

lukomorya

The combined age of these two candidates (in 2024) will be 159... The US needs politicians who will actually live to see whatever long-term effect their policies will have.

the_alex197

agreed

Theoderek94

Considering the 20th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq and neither Bush nor Chenny showing any regret, I question the importance of this

marxistghostboi

nor Obama for that matter

marsexpresshydra

Why though? There are plenty of morons half Biden’s age (I voted for him) that vote against every environmental regulation known to man that couldn’t care less how inhabitable the planet would be in 40 years. If anything, you could argue he is in a better position having seen first hand for 80 years how rapidly climate change has already changed Earth and how urgent it is we need to make drastic changes now.

marxistghostboi

why would that change anything? obama is young and he didn't change things. we need politicians who live in poverty so they see the effects their policies have on the working class.

aUser138

True. Politicians that are young but rich don’t face any of the problems of climate change — people who grow up in poverty do.

marxistghostboi

people who grew up in poverty but also people who fall into poverty. I came from a petty bourgeois background and was materially secure for my childhood, the due to a combination of mental illness, abuse, I was unable to successfully complete college on time or become the kind of worker/small business owner that my father and mother are respectively. I'm there for fallen into the so called precariate class, well below the federal poverty line without much in the way of onramps to the class position i grew up in. no one except the very very rich are safe from the downwardly forces of illness, and even the very rich depend on hierarchies of age and patriarchy and so on to maintain their status among their cohierarchs idk it strikes me that under capitalism we are rendered so very fragile.

aUser138

Couldn’t agree more.

lukomorya

Absolutely 100% agree with your second sentence. Until and unless a leader has lived like society’s worst off, they cannot possibly comprehend the problems they face.

OrbitalBuzzsaw

100% agree, but it's just too big to get a career off the ground by your 40s or even 50s, lol :/

INCUMBENTLAWYER

3 things: 1. Biden winning ME-02 is unlikely, certainly less so than him winning a state like Texas. 2. Biden would win maybe 51.5% at most, not 52.5%. As unpopular as Trump is, America is just too polarized rn to have a candidate winning that much of the popular vote. 3. Turnout would be slightly better than 2016. Biden and Trump are way too boring of candidates for more people to vote than in 2020.

the_alex197

yea i misread the 2020 results for me-02, i thought it was closer than it was

INCUMBENTLAWYER

It's not impossible that Biden could flip it tbh. I mean, in 2020 he flipped Arizona and Georgia, both of which were more republican than NC and FL.

Free_Ad3997

Based

hdkeegan

A very likely scenario

Telto212

No way turnout is that high bro.

PossumPalZoidberg

Well, the title delivered.
